The hotel is at ten minutes walk from the city centre. The building architecture has a lovely “Uzbekistan” atmosphere with a nice courtyard . Our room was modern furnished as well as modern was the restaurant on top where a buffet breakfast with a good choice of salty and sweet food was served .
The staff was nice and helpful.

The room was good with great amenities. The Hotel itself has a Uzbek feel with the sandstone coloured walls and mosaic details in the alcoves .
The spa was great . I had a Thai massage and my Masseur was Evan who did a splendid job! I was feeling the relaxing effect of the massage even on the third day .
The breakfast buffet was also really good.
The shower in the bathroom was also a great one , which is always a positive after a tiring day of walking .

The only chain hotel brand in Old Town. Nice hotel with really nice staff. Basic amenities.

Clean room. No toilet bidet sprayer though.

A nice restaurant is on site for all day dining.

It is located at the end of old town, so it would take around 15 minutes walk to reach most sites, and 20 to reach The Ark. there’s several convenience stores in close proximity to the hotel.

There’s an ATM machine in the hotel and the hotel itself does accept credit cards.

Make sure to use Yandex app for taxis when you need a taxi to go back to the hotel from Lyabi Khaus square area and sites around. Taxis there will ask for triple of what should be paid to a taxi which doesn’t make sense since that area is close to the hotel (less than 5 minute drive).

I love this hotel. I love when a hotel incorporates the local aesthetic of any area without compromising the comforts expected at a luxury hotel and this one does it perfectly from the welcoming service and the extremely comfortable and spacious rooms it is a stunning hotel that is a short walk through a neighborhood to all the tourist spots.
I would highly recommend staying here, I can't wait to return!

This was a really nice hotel, with a really well designed interior and plenty of external areas to relax, including a useful rooftop terrace next to the bar/restaurant.
Our room was very large with all the amenities you’d expect, a comfortable bed and a very good shower.
We didn’t have breakfast while here but the food in the restaurant for other meals was very good, as were the drinks we had.
The staff in the restaurant/bar and other areas were also all very helpful with good standards of English.
The location is a little out of the old town but seemed very safe and it worked well for us as we could walk (or short/cheap Yandex) and retreat to the peace of the hotel after sightseeing.
We would use again for Bukhara and recommend.

Mercure Bukhara is beautifully done up. Located within a ten minutes ride from all the fun in Bukhara. The in-house restaurant has a very limited menu but good things. Unfortunately , the hotel overall doesn’t live up to its brand name. It lacks warmth & hospitality. The front desk is undoubtedly very professional but again lacks hospitality. The hotel ran out of creamer (dried milk ) & couldn’t stock it for good two days in the hotel. Neither did they bother to make the guests’ lives easier during that time . It’s only after categorically pointing out did they send a tiny amount of fresh dairy milk from their kitchen after 24 hours.
They do not have a currency exchange machine or an ATM within the premises . Very basic & uncreative breakfast buffet. Their front desk staff didn’t bother to give the right directions to the nearest ATM Machine while a whole bank with ATM is just around the corner.
There’s communication gap within the team about arrangements. Half the stuff on the menu is usually unavailable. Rooms are poorly lit. I’m all for mood lighting but it should be a choice and not a compulsion. The rooms are very dimly lit. There are definitely far better places to stay in Bukhara. This hotel can be surely skipped.

The staff at the reception desk were very helpful. Security guard helped me in with my luggage. Rooms are smaller than usual however we're clean and had a great view. Breakfast was also good at the hotel, only costs £5 for breakfast in room. Recommend.

As we were coming from a Western country, we wanted a Western brand where we could feel comfortable. We got a room of one king bed and one single even though we were three adult males. It was clean, the beds had crisp sheets, and we even arranged to use train transfer with the hotel (which is $20 versus $3 on Yandex but we were arriving late at night that it made sense for us).

The hotel is not far from the old city, but it does take 17 minutes to walk which could be difficult for some in the heat of the summer months. We didn't pay to include breakfast. I had trouble finding the pool and the lack of a fitness center is kind of a bummer. But for one night, very good. Picked this over the Wyndham because I wanted a hotel that gave you a feel for Bukhara and the Wyndham looked plain.

This is one of only a couple of western branded hotels in Bukhara. It is situated mainly in a residential area which would mean around a 15 minute walk to get to the historical centre.

We arrived from the railway station and used the hotel service for 20$ for pickup. The driver was there waiting, the railway station is quite far from the centre.

Check in was quite slow, there didn’t seem many staff on hand and I enquired about the price of an upgraded room. I was happy with the price so I opted for it just to give a sense of more space.

The room space itself wasn’t too functional, the bathroom was still very small which was disappointing. It was incredibly clean and there was a minibar with a few soft drinks.

Aircon worked well as did the wifi. I really liked the common areas of the hotel, the decor is amazing and it’s all lovely and new.

We had some great afternoons in the spa in some cases with it almost to ourselves. The finish is great and the water is refreshing.

There was a hiccup where the promised birthday set up (we had arrived on 13th which was his actual birthday). This wasn’t executed well, but to be fair the hotel really tried to resolve this by making a heartfelt apology.

We didn’t eat at the hotel or try breakfast, but this was because there were so many options in the city. We never paid more than $1 for a taxi (yandex).

Check out was fast and generally we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Beautiful Bhukara hotel, the Mercure hotel has everything. Beautiful rooms, clean and comfortable. We had one night here to explore Bhukara. It is approx 15min walk to the old sights and it’s an easy walk. During our visit we explored everywhere and jumped in a taxi back to hotel, it cost 150000 som, Approx £6.50-8.50. The spa is so delightful and it was empty, as were the relaxation rooms. Perfect. We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast in hotel. The food was delicious and local produce. All in all a perfect location and lovely comfortable stay.
