My partner and I stayed at the Parrotel resort with my parents from 20-27 September 2022. There were some lovely aspects to this place although in all honesty, we probably would not go back in a hurry. The staff there are very accommodating, friendly and will do their upmost to assist with your requirements. Shampoo at the Toucan bar was lovely, although he will try and marry your daughter if you let him. The business men that stay over the weekend are incredibly leery towards young girls and even the staff stated they were there for one thing. Not pleasant. The Customers however, were not overly considerate, specifically the Arabic/Egyptian women. They say the English know how to queue and are very polite, which we are! But they will often push in front of you, attempt to intimidate you and will make every effort to take sunbeds from you if they are left long enough. We caught onto this early on and thankfully in my line of work I’m happy to address such rude behaviour anyway. They soon realised they couldn’t continue. That was hugely off putting for us as a family. The place itself was OK, fairly run down but building wise they were obviously doing a lot of updating. The food was repetitive and a bit bland, with not a lot of choice. There are 2 ala carte restaurants - Italian and fish. I would avoid the fish like the plague, a lot of people were unwell from it. But the Italian was pleasant and the staff very attentive. Again, not a great deal of choice but was nicer than sitting in the main restaurant with the crowd. The entertainment staff were very young, would not really engage with female guests and did not cater to everyone’s tastes. The same dance and music was played at night (and throughout the day at EXTREMELY high levels!!) and there was no communication surrounding plans they had to include all guests each day. This is something that will require a lot of work, so if you have children then be prepared for them not to be entirely satisfied. Other wellness teams and the dive team would not leave you alone until you bought their services. If you have not been to Egypt before - be fully prepared for the hassle and harassment. That’s how they work and get their sales. Zainab in the spa is lovely, she will sit and talk to you without pushing for a sale. She works alone and works bloody hard! Overall, had it not been for the environment of the locals we would probably visit Egypt again, but at an English based resort where there was more to do. The hotel either side had a lot more going on and appeared to have more guests, which speaks volumes. The walk to and from the lobby/restaurant is around 10/15 minutes so be prepared to walk in the blistering sun. The setting is beautiful and we went diving and snorkelling on the White Island, I would recommend that trip. But again, this place was not for us which is a shame as we have been to Egypt many times and never had such a poor experience with the locals. Very off putting and not something I would put my family through again.…
It was amazing holiday with my family,we had a fantastic meal in the Italian restaurant and we got a nice pizza, the staff is very nice Mohamed in the front desk and sameh in the restaurant and thanks reda from the reception for looking after us Definitely we will back in March

The welcome from every member of staff was outstanding without being false or overpowering. The hotel was not at full capacity, but it had a friendly nature, care was not taken by staff not to intrude. I found the restuarant/drinks staff welcoming, particularly, Mr Syed, who I beleive was the manager.
It was amazing holiday at parrotel beach we are very enjoying our stay there its our first time but im very loved the staff hear so helpful and smiling service are great food are tasty room very clean front office very helpful thank you to the food and beverage team for the hospitality and do the best for us thank you to all management at parrotel beach and we back again
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday to the Parrotel Beach Resort. We arrived late evening missing the dinner sitting, and after checking in at reception where the staff were friendly and interested in us as guests, we were taken by golf buggy to our room on the beach front. Within moments we have a snack plate delivered and a fruit plate by a very happy and friendly staff member who couldn’t do enough for us and also welcomed us to the resort. The resort is flanked each side by blocks of apartments consisting of a ground floor and 1st floor so are low rise which is something I particularly like about resorts, the higher rise ones in the likes of Spain etc are not really my preference. Now again, I did say an honest review, it does need updating … and we were pleased to see this was happening as we were there. 2 large blocks were being worked on and being refurbished and also the area under the reception … so things are in movement for regeneration. As you come out of the reception you are looking down the resort toward to Red Sea … you see the main pool and the accommodation is 2 levels high either side, there is a little river that meanders through the resort and water features throughout that are activated towards the evening when it’s all lit up which looks very pretty. The walkways snake down towards the beachside rooms and is a pleasant stroll. With the rooms, we stayed in 7138 ours was a beachfront room, comfortable and a really good size, we had a kettle and beverages, the bathroom had a bath with shower over and also a large separate shower, hairdryer and a good size space. There is also UK channels on the TV if you did wish to watch it. Our cleaner was a very friendly and polite chap and we were lucky enough to have him for the full 2wks we were there … he was so lovely. In all the hotels I’ve stayed in in the 15 times I’ve been to egypt, these have been the most friendly … the Al la carte manger Esmail is kind, friendly and always welcoming, has a genuine interest in his guests and also his 2 members of staff (bith named Mohammed) are also the same. The main restaurant manager Mohammed Kamel, he doesn’t stop working … always scanning the room making sure it is as presentable as possible for all guests, remembering who you are and what you drink and makes your experience a welcomed one, it was a joy to see him each day for breakfast as he’s always smiling and welcoming. Now … this is Egypt so a 5 star is the equivalent to a UK 3 star and bearing in mind Sharm is still a relatively new holiday destination and developing constantly … all the food is edible and pleasant, not what you’d be use to BUT you wouldn’t starve if you are a fussy eater … there isn’t a day where I couldn’t find a good amount of food to eat and enjoy, I did find looking at the review that some people whom may not have been to Egypt previously may not understand what to expect. Breakfast was a nice selection, lunch we used the snack bar which is exactly that … snacks of chips and chicken etc which is by the main pool. There is also a beach bar for refreshments. The beach was very quiet and the staff providing towels and keeping the beach tidy were polite and friendly also, raking the back each day and tidying all the sun beds after they had been used and vacated. Snorkelling off ‘the shelf’ where the sea drops off at the jetty is simply amazing!! Make sure you take an underwater camera or a waterproof cover for your mobile device. We booked our boat trips on the beach via the resort dive centre. ‘Baby Shark’ will help you with all of this and he is also very friendly, we went back to Tiran Islam again as we enjoy this trip every time we go and the reefs are beautiful (Gordon reef being my personal favourite and I believe it’s the prettiest red in the Red Sea). The management we had the pleasure to meet including the General Manager was so lovely, friendly and also grateful to start to see holiday makers retuning to Egypt … it’s very slow retuning but we did see 2 other British couple while we were there but we never felt isolated thanks to the welcoming environment of the staff who took time out to go out of their way to speak to you. We didn’t see the entertainment so cannot comment on that but the entertainment staff were always polite and friendly. Bottom line … the hotel isn’t the Rixos but neither are the prices!! … if you want a nice holiday with friendly staff in a nice setting … this is the place for you, just remember the main comments about it being a UK 3* and you want be disappointed. Also the coffee machines in the reception and al La carte restaurants are fantastic!! Lovely coffee and I’m a tea drinker usually! I am so celebrated a birthday here and they went out of their way to make it a special day which was appreciated. We would return here mainly because it was a lovely atmosphere for us, we felt relaxed, well catered for and were made to feel special even though we were not. I did feel sad to be leaving and we were walked to our taxi by the Manager which we were very humbled and grateful for. We look forward to retuning here next year. Thank you Parrotel :)…

We spent 5 nights in parrotel beach resort from 1/9 till 6/9 it was our sixth time in this amazing place first we arrived at 8:30 we are allowed to have breakfast till our rooms get ready the breakfast was good there were every thing you may need in your breakfast with good taste Then we entered our Rooms one of the most beautiful things in our holiday we stayed at 3 B (3152 / 3158) the view was amazing pool and sea view it was so clean with everything you need during your stay The main pool as usual very clean All The staff there are amazing / helpful and always smiling (reception / bars/restaurants) The food in the lunch and dinner was a little bit disappointing almost the same menu every day with a little variety The worst thing in this time was the animation team comparing to our last 5 stays they are so lazy they don't want to exert any effort …
