The Resort is a great place to be entertained and relax. Thank you Jamal, Shahid and the great Basem restaurant, made sure being Veggies on the day we didn't like the food they rustled something up. Good our tables ready on time and drinks and tea and coffee served as soon as we were ready. Ahmed beach waiter brought us on the beach food and drinks and looked after us no chore was hard with this guy. Room cleaner Osama what a great character smiled and wished good day every day and kept the rooms clean and fresh.. Hamada, Alex Mos, Natsya Katya, Kristinn without you guys some days could have been boring, but your entertaining mode from stretching's to yoga to darts etc made the day go quicker, and what great dancers you all are., Spa team, Recep team very courteous and polite. Your hotel is in a great location. The service staff works professionally, quickly, and the service is pleasant. The rooms are comfortable, maybe some repairs are needed, but this does not interfere with relaxation. I'm just jealous to look at other hotels where bridges to the sea have been built. Thank you.

We have just got back from a wonderful week at Barcelo tiran, Sharm el sheikh. We have been to sharm on numerous occasions, but not this hotel. We were greeted by Tarek on reception with politeness & smiles, which continued throughout the week. We thought we only knew 1 member of staff at the hotel, but it turned out there was quite a few that had moved to Barcelo from the previous hotel we stayed at, about 10 years ago! Although we have all gracefully aged!! They recognised us & us them. We have been so welcomed back, it’s been like coming back to what we called our second home!! Day one… we went into breakfast, Ahmed greeted us & we chose a table. This was saved for us every meal time (we are creatures of habit, so this suited us) he was exceptional, helpful & could not do enough for us. He soon got to know our little habits I.e cold milk in English tea!! Thank you Ahmed. Off to the beach.. we chose our sunbeds & thanks to Ali & the team, we had them all week, towels were on every morning! Thank you Ali & team. Mustafa at the beach bar was on hand, bringing us drinks, even when we hadn’t asked for one!!! Latte’s water, tea even special milkshakes & non alcoholic cocktails!! Thank you Mustafa, your smile is infectious! Then there was the animation team.. thank you Hamada, Alex, Anastasia, Christina & the rest of the team, we really enjoyed getting to know you & having a great laugh with you all. Not forgetting the resident DJ, Poor Bloke!! He got what for when he the speakers & equipment to within 10 ft of our sunbeds, but he played some music of our choice, so he was forgiven & we had a great laugh with him. Islam looked after our room all week, with the odd towel decoration on the beds. Always fascinates me how they do them??!! Thank you Islam. Then there was Ahmed (bar manager) & his team. They were all so attentive, they quickly got to know what we drink & was always served with a smile & a huge welcome. Thank you Ahmed. We were given an Al a carte meal during our stay, which is served in a separate restaurant. Thank you Karim & team for your hospitality, fabulous service & amazing food. My last note is to the assistant general manager, Karim, we became friends at the last hotel we visited, this friendship has continued & now we are able to carry on with our Egyptian family in a fabulous hotel, with an amazing team of staff. Thank you Karim, you made us feel so welcome, we look forward to visiting you all again In the near future. If anyone is second thinking this hotel as your choice of holiday, we would say DONT, the staf are so friendly & helpful, the food is great, there is always something in the restaurant to eat, even if you are a fussy eater!! Breakfast is my favourite, there is so much choice!! The local alcoholic drinks are also very good ( as long as they only do half measures!!!!!) The hotel is clean & tidy in all departments, the bar is kept immaculate, the pools are cleaned daily & the beach is well looked after. Well done to everyone …

The worst experience I’ve ever had in Egypt! The only advantage of this hotel is the beach ( but not when the weather is windy). I never thought that a five star hotel would ever make its guests beg for tea on their knees! Rude waiters, receptionists, bartenders! Their key purpose seems to be to extort money from the guests!

I definitely recommend Barcelo if you plan your next vacation at Sharm. Rooms are nice and tidy, staff is super friendly and services are good. The position could be better - it's a bit far from Naama Baya and Sharm city, and exposed to wind quite often. For the rest, we really enjoyed our 2 weeks stay
