Detailed Reviews
We had a little balcony to drink our coffee in the morning and see the sea. We loved having our own kitchen so we cooked and save quite some money (eating out is expensive). There was no noise outside and the people working there were very nice. It's not a luxury aparthotel, but it's everything you need. Nothing more, nothing less. We would definitely go back.

We Loved it here… Clean, Comfortable beds, good shower, great size 2 bedroom apartment, quiet location, close to everything.
The staff were fantastic, super attentive and always helpful offering great advice to where the locals go to swim. Just one of the beautiful beach’s is a 1 minute walk away and it’s a lazy 20minute easy flat stroll into Old Town Hvar. Added bonus was the local supermarket that was a 1 minute walk up the street, where we bought fresh bread, meats, cheeses and wine!

This is a lovely hotel with spacious rooms. The room was very clean and the staff were lovely and friendly. Our room had a balcony and clothes airer. the hotel had a lift. Breakfast was served on the ground floor terrace and it had a good variety of hot and cold food to suit everyone.
There was a supermarket just 5 minutes up the road and a lovely Italian restaurant beside the supermarket.
It was probably a 15 minute walk into town and 5 minutes from the sea.

The lady at the reception, Tamara, is the most unprofessional I’ve ever seen. Zero qualifications to work in hospitality. The way she knocks on doors in itself gives anxiety. Hotel is noisy specially if you’re on the first floor and you can hear her voice from everywhere. Good luck sleeping! The bed was comfortable though and the water pressure was good. The location is minimum 20 mins walking from town which I find far and inconvenient

My wife and I visited Croatia in June-July 2019. After we were done with our first stop Dubrovnik, we drove to Hvar Island. We were booked at Apart Hotel Pharia by my travel agent here in India.
First of all Hvar, though is a beautiful Island, has very narrow streets. So rent a small car. I had a hard time negotiating my C Class Mercedes Benz. Also Apart Hotel Pharia itself in located on a pretty narrow street. Its parking is difficult to enter. Though there is an additional parking just down the street.
The hotel itself was lovely. We had a great one bedroom apartment, nice dining cum pantry area, balcony, toilet and shower and every thing was well desingned and elegant. Staff is super nice and friendly. Breakfast was also very good appropriate with the small hotel standard.
Overall I highly recommend this property.

A friend and I stayed at the Pharia this past summer. It is about a 10 minute walk from the center of Hvar...past all of the gigantic and rather unsightly larger hotels. We easily walked to and fro, including when we arrived with our luggage. It is in a quiet neighborhood and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. When we discovered that we had left our camera charger on the last island we had come from, they phoned to the other island for us and arranged for it to be brought on the ferry the following day. The rooms are very simple although clean with lots of light. Each room had a little balcony with a nice view out over the trees to the ocean. There is a clothes line on each balcony and a table with 2 chairs sufficient for reading and an evenign wine and cheese snack while the sun goes down. The walls were pretty thin but the people who were staying there were all respectful and quiet..ie, no partying college kids. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would return if I ever make it back to Croatia...which I certainly hope to.I made my reservation by contacting them at the following email address:pharia@orvas.htnet.hr

Decent and reasonably priced accommodation seems to be difficult to find in Hvar. At the moment, many of the hotels seem to be going through refurbishment eg. Adriatic, Amfora and Slavija, the latter of which will be the new Riva Hotel. I would like to think that our reviews have prompted the refurbs as the reports I have read of most of the hotels are fairly damning and having been to Hvar I can see why.
However, after lots of research, I eventually decided to stay in Pharia Aparthotel. It was renovated in 2003. We had an apartment with separate kitchen (very well equiped), lounge, bedroom, bathroom (shower only) and balcony. All the rooms are modern, smart and clean. The staff are very friendly. I paid £66/night for the apartment and going by the prices of what I consider to be very down market hotels in Hvar, this was very good value. The location isn't perfect as it is not on or around Hvar harbour like some of the other hotels, but it is a very nice walk around the coast along an attactive path and only takes 10-15 mins. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Pharia in Hvar, Croatia, unfortunately only for one night, in May 2006. The hotel is a small hotel in a quiet residential area outside of the center of town. Thus, it is a quiet location but is not convenient to restaurants. On the other hand, it's only a pleasant 15 minute stroll along the shore into town. The hotel is fairly new and is well kept and nicely furnished. Get one of the ocean-side rooms with a view; we had a room with a small balcony overlooking the Adriatic which was wonderful. Staff is very helpful, and breakfast comes with the room. One caveat: most of the ferry boats land at Stari Grad, which is about a $40 taxi ride from Hvar town. A bus is available for less, but that leaves you in the center of Hvar with your luggage, and "wheelies" do not do well on cobblestone streets/walkways. Nevertheless, this is a fabulous location and a lovely hotel well worth a visit.

We had a 2 night stay planned but decided to cut it short after someone had been stabbed outside the hotel and we felt unsafe. (could have been related to the Ultra Beach festival that was happening at the time but the area around the hotel is very dark at night and quite creepy)
The hotel was very basic and definitely not as nice as the photos show on the net. We booked a triple sea-view suite which was on the 1st floor and gave you a tiny view of ocean through some trees and was nothing to marvel on. The air con worked well but the shower was in a rough state (mould between the tiles and shower head broken and tilted down with water spraying out from the hinges) I would probably stay somewhere else next time given the price we paid. The wi-fi kept dropping in and out which was somewhat annoying.
Also, all hotel guests passports were kept in a pigeon hole shelf in full view behind the reception desk - felt extremely unsecured especially when the receptionist wasn't there - basically anyone could have grabbed them and run off...

Only one good think about hotel are breakfast.
So filling and long 7-10:30.
But-
Don't have any hotel cleaning standarts.
After first morning ask to wash up dirty and sticky floors from last ocupant- they wash only bedrom floor around bed. :)
Never wash other room, coridor, balkony, bathroom...
Under bed, on frames, tables dust for a month.
Bathroom tap, shower are broken.
Sink hool all green in dirt and mould.
They comming to clean every morning to change towels, fix beds and hoover floors.
I have bathroom cleaner and airfreshner from shop- in second day they take my bathroom cleaner away. I ask back but never get it.
Steps outside are without railings- very unsafe!
On the right side are beach just down the steps.
Left side are walk to town.
Anyone can walk with luggage to and from hotel 15-20min. Taxi are from 100 to 200 kunas.
Just keep going on walking road from harbour near seaside. Signs will show where to go.
Hotel don't have pool!
Not for family holidays.
So sad to give bad review but it's true.
Thank you for kitchen staff and receptionists. You was very helpful and professional.
Be careful of bed mites- they use chicken featers stuffed pillows.
In first 2 nights can't understad what's bite my chest and back. After put on pillow towel, bites stopped. Baby wipes are only one what's help to release pain and infection.
Week after my skin still are in scars.

Dear Ilse, Thank you for your review and thank you for choosing our hotel for your family vacation. However, I am very sad to hear that you have had several problems while staying here, especially knowing that most of them could have been solved while you were still here. For instance, we believe that problem wasn´t bed mites but mosquitos which are big problem during summer, but easily to solved by using spray or special liquid which our hotel could have provided. I´m very sorry to hear that you were suffering pain and infection even after your vacation has ended. Also, our pillows aren´t filled with feathers but I believe the problem in this case once again were mosquitos. Regarding cleaning standards, I assure you that we are always trying to maintain high standards of service, especially the cleanness of our hotel. However, considering high season period while you were staying here, our housekeeping must have been very busy and maybe did some oversights with cleaning and not did it thoroughly as they usually do. I´m very glad to hear that you were satisfied with our stuff and service. We are always trying to work as a team and doing our best to help our guest to feel as comfortable as possible. I would like to thank you one more time for spending your holidays with us, we really enjoyed having you as our guests! I also hope that you have had nice time on a beautiful island of Hvar and that you will come and visit some other time! Best wishes! Sanja Kovacevic
