Detailed Reviews
I've stayed in Bluesun Bonaca for 4 days with the large group of students and was pleasantly surprised with all hotel staff and departments. They all made an extra effort for us to enjoy the stay - reception, restaurant, animation and even housekeeping. AI service was ritch and precisely delivered. Would recommend for families and FIT travelers as well. Keep on with the good work.

I am so happy we chose this hotel - now we are back fully relaxed and bursting with new energy. The concept of the Bonaca holiday village is convenience and easiness. We have booked a full board option and did not have to think about meals but rather focus on fun and activities. Food is excellent, variety is immense. There are 3-hour time windows for every meal and you are free to sit anywhere. There are two swimming pools and enough space for everyone. Gorgeous Adriatic sea is only 4 minutes walking time from the hotel. Famous Zlatny Rat beach is 10 minutes away only (I have to mention though that this beach is overrated, filters help create a picture of a golden sandy beach, but it is not, it is a typical Croatian pebble beach), it's a great spot for wind surfers, for swimming I would recommend small bays which are plenty.
The spirit of the hotel is maintained by the animation team. They entertain children at the Kids Club during day time and at Mini Discos in the evening. All animators we met were very warm and caring. Once a week they produce a musical for kids and with kids' participation.
The hotel is run very efficiently - most services are invisible and don't interfere with guests having good time, but I know how much effort is given to keep everything clean and in operation mode.
My special thanks go to the heroes of the kitchen and the restaurant - to chefs, waiters and cleaners. I've been impressed with the quality of food, presentation, variety and good humour of the personnel.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
The food is the most unseasoned food I have ever tasted. However if you stick to meat and veggies it's fine, the meat was sometimes dry though..
BUT the hotel itself was fantastic! It looks just like the photos. Great bed.
The cafeteria is very loud, so we sat outside in the heat for every meal.
I think this hotel is just the thing for families with small children, but I wouldn't recommend it to couples (we went as a couple). It's a lot of fun activities for childrens.
At the beach, the fee for two sunbeds and a parasol were 36$ btw.. but there's sunbeds at the hotel, just get there by 10-11 to get one.

I recently stayed at Bluesun Holiday Village Bonaca and had a mixed experience. While there were several positive aspects of my stay, there were also significant issues that impacted my overall satisfaction.
Front Desk Service:
My primary concern was the front desk service, which was incredibly unhelpful. Upon our arrival, we found the front desk staff to be quite indifferent and unaccommodating. They did not offer any assistance with our bags, despite the fact that all the rooms are located on hills with cobblestone paths and numerous stairs. Navigating these with our luggage was quite a challenge, and it was disappointing that no help was provided or even offered.
Additionally, the front desk staff did not provide any information about activities or attractions around the hotel or on the island. We had to repeatedly ask for basic information, and even then, the answers were vague and not very informative. This lack of support made it difficult to plan our activities and explore the area effectively.
Other Staff:
In contrast, the rest of the staff were wonderful and truly made a difference in our stay. The housekeeping team was efficient and friendly, ensuring our room was always clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff were attentive and provided excellent service, making our dining experiences enjoyable. It's clear that the hotel has a team of hardworking individuals who care about their guests.
Overall Impression:
While the helpfulness and friendliness of the rest of the staff were much appreciated, the poor front desk service left a negative impression. It's essential for the front desk to be welcoming and informative, as they are the first point of contact for guests. Improvement in this area would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.
Despite the challenges we faced with the front desk, we did enjoy certain aspects of our stay at Bluesun Holiday Village Bonaca. The location is beautiful, and with the right support and information, it could be an excellent base for exploring the island. I hope the management addresses these issues, as the potential for a fantastic stay is undoubtedly there.

Booked hotel for the second time in 8 years (all inclusive option) and I have to say it got much worse from the last time.
Picked up the family on the Split airport (18.00h) and managed to arrive to hotel at 21.05. Since they were all traveling from States for more than 12 hours I asked if it is possible to get us something to eat but guys on the reception told us that dinner is over and they didn't knew that we are coming (how is it possible not to know that when you have list of arriving guests). Then they gave us Standard room instead od Superior (they also lied on the reception that the room is superior) and without extra bed which we booked because of two kids. They asked us to sleep in those rooms for one night and that they will upgrade our rooms in the morning. What happened is that they gave us superior (not deluxe) rooms which look the same as previous ones but with, what they said, more space for normal third bed. During our stay, for three days they were lacking several drinks (all inclusive stay was) but they didn't want to offer those they had, but more expensive drinks that they serve for money to us. Snacks terrible and same every day, animation for kids poor, food the same every day (but not so terrible I have to say), front desk not helpfull.
Overall, I must say that it is probably my last stay in this hotel and I will think twice in a future to decide to stay in one of Blue Sun hotels.

We bought all inclusive, yet many items on the bar menu were not included in ALL INCLUSIVE. The breakfast was not very good and we had to stand in line for over 20 minutes for some pancakes and scrambled eggs every day. The lunch and dinner were almost identical, the pizza was good but the rest was nothing special.
It was close to the beach and the pool area was pretty decent so that is a plus. The rooms were ok and the service was good.
If you expect good food in the all inclusive package i can tell you, its just not worth it.

+1
Workers are nice. Food enough choice, good taste, drinks also. Drinks dispenser are outside and inside, buffet in two side (both the same food). Pastery and salads are good. You have some sorts of diferrent ice cream during meal times. It is not a problem if you refill your bottle with drinks, coffee. Coffee is filter and also dispenser (espresso,capucino,...) with good brand Julius Meinl.
Resort is big and very clean, nice, like garden. Really beautiful. For me it was to far away from the see (i was in the last building). Room was nice, balcony , small fridge, good tv.
Pool nice, at the moment big enough for guests in may. Free pool chairs and umbrella. Would i go there? Yes!!!! Maybe i just booked some room a little bit close to the beach. Video soon....

The hotel/apartment was ok, but there was hardly any decently hot water in the shower. Mostly just middle of the day. Mornings or evenings when most guests used the shower you could forget it. The travel agent support as well as the hotel just said it simply was like that. I would guess either underdimensioned heating or the hotel not cranking up nearly enough. Really dirty AC filters. But all in all not bad in terms of location, cleanliness, staff and so on. Room could be larger for a family with two kids, though.

We really liked our vacation at the Bluesun Hotel Bonaca. We could not have found a better hotel and a better destination. The rooms are newly renovated and the hotel has a new pool, however we liked the second pool better because of the rich content offered by the animation team. Every day we participated in beach volleyball, and in the afternoon in sports. There is always something for everyone and you can never get bored. I would recommend it to everyone!
The food in restaurant is great, every day there is a buffet with various dishes as well as juices and beer. The staff is friendly and the rooms are always clean. We will definitely come back again!
