A 1st class experience from the second that we stepped through the door.
The hotel has an excellent location in Bol, centrally located between the port and the main beach area.
We took a taxi from the port and arrived at around 11am to be told by the delightful receptionist that the 2 rooms that we had booked for 5 nights were ready. We had 1 Superior room and 2 Mountain view room and both were modern and spacious albeit a little on the dark side.
The jewel in the crown for this hotel is the roof terrace which has the most amazing views and is the best of anywhere that I’ve stayed. The pool is a great size, there is also a hot tub jacuzzi and plenty of sunbeds. Food & Drinks can be ordered on the roof via an intercom system.
Breakfast at the hotel is a relaxing affair with the option to eat either inside or on a terrace outside the main dining room. The food on offer for breakfast is varied and of excellent quality.
I have to pay a huge complement overall to the small team of staff who run the hotel with amazing efficiency and always with a smiling face. We had some superb recommendations for restaurants on arrival and the staff were more than happy to call ahead and book us a table.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to visit the island of Brac.

We cannot begin to describe how incredible this hotel is! In a perfect location in walking distance to the town if you turn left and the Golden horn if you turn right. It’s an absolute must for choosing a hotel! We arrived fairly late after getting a ferry from another island but we were greeted with the friendliest of welcomes and a welcome drink of choice (I had the white wine and it was delicious). We then went up to our room (number 308), we had booked their most expensive room as it was our honeymoon but my god was it worth it! When we entered our room we had noticed the chef had made us some lemon drizzle style cakes and sugar coated almonds which were absolutely delicious and very welcome after a late journey! The room was huge and modern with a homely twist, our balcony looked out onto the sea with a view of the Golden horn (which actually helped us asses when the best time to visit it was). The walls on the balcony are black and glittery so they blend in with the sparkly night sky which was incredible! The best feature of the room was the bath that overlooked the sea! I used their body wash to add bubbles to the bath and the products were amazing and left my skin feeling so soft! There is a roof top infinity pool with a separate hot tub overlooking the ocean! The staff could not be more helpful! If you want anything at the pool, and I mean anything from water to cocktails to towels there is an intercom and you just press it and put in your request and within minutes they bring it over to your sun lounger! There isn’t many rooms at this hotel but I found that perfect as there was more than enough sun Loungers and plenty of room in the pool for everyone! We were given a bottle of wine from a previous wine tour on a previous island and we thought we’d enjoy an evening on their rooftop with the bottle and the staff gave us an ice bucket and glasses without hesitation. The restaurant was closed due to Covid when we were there so we went to a restaurant up the road called ‘Ranč’ and it was incredible! Phone up early and ask for the lamb under the bell! We can not wait to come back here it’s an absolute jewel of a hotel and by far the best we’ve ever been to! Thank you for making our honeymoon so special!

This hotel was fairly expensive, but the amazing rooftop infinity pool with panoramic views over Bol was worth it. We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. It’s about a 10 mins walk into the centre of Bol / the port and a little further than that to the beach. The bedroom was nice, but “mountain view”, the cheaper rooms, are largely a view of the car park / roundabout in front of the hotel. We didn’t really mind as we spent very little time in there, but if you want a nice view, you need to upgrade. Staff were very friendly and accommodated us arriving ridiculously early (7am due to the ferry timetable), they checked us in within a few hours.

Nice, new and modern design hotel. The location is within walking distance to everything in Bol but not directly at the sea front as the photos lead you to believe. Our “mountain view” room was more of a road view. The hotel has good sea views from the rooftop pool terrace and the pool area itself is great and nicely looked after. It would be nice if breakfast was served up here so that you could have sea views while eating. The room was clean and had a great shower, but the lighting was a little on the dark side which wasn’t very practical. The air conditioning is very good and quite at night which was great. The breakfast was good with fresh orange juice everyday, although we would prefer it if the eggs were cooked fresh to order. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, especially the waiter Tomo who was very friendly and provided excellent service. Bol is a great destination and we would definitely recommend a stay here!

It was a real pleasure to stay at Lifestyle Hotel Vitar. A well thought design of this place coupled with incredibly hospitable staff really made our trip to Bol truly memorable. The rooms and the facilities of the hotel are built with great detail and come as a great surprise. We actually hesitated too often to go to the actual beach, which was overcrowded despite the pandemic and we found ourselves enjoying a delicate ambience of Hotel Vitar more than we thought. It was such a gratifying realisation that you can enjoy a gorgeous panoramic view of a waterfront from a rooftop terrace, where you can easily spend the whole day while sipping beverages in a pool. We’d like to thank again Tomo & Irena for their extraordinary service at breakfast and Marino & Sanja at the reception for their excellent care. We were very happy to discover this gem of a place!

A modern contemporary hotel. The room was a good size with a bath in the centre and wash basin also in the room. Room is quiet and bed comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful. Staff are young but very friendly and work well as a team always making you feel welcome. Small infinity pool on roof with some bed chairs but very little shade. It is possible to order drinks to be delivered to you on the roof by the hotel staff. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious.

If you want to stay in a hotel on a busy roundabout where 4 main roads meet, then this is the hotel for you. You might want to sit on your balcony breathing in the exhaust fumes from the busy road or you can keep your door shut and inhale the perfumed chemical that the room has been spayed with obviously to cover up whatever was in the room beforehand. You could be lucky enough to secure a room with a window at the head of the bed facing the roundabout - the beds in the corner rooms have this feature. You will also have to crawl along the platform to get into bed and don't forget you will have to do this during the night to use the bathroom. I would recommend you stop drinking liquids a few hours before retiring to bed. Please see photo attached. Like I said, the rooms had been sprayed with a perfume and opening the balcony doors was not an option due to the noise of the cars, bikes and lorries as well as the exhaust fumes We were shown 3 rooms but sadly they all had the same smell I started to get very sick and developed a migraine from this - something I have never suffered with. The receptionist informed us that the rooms are sprayed with this chemical everyday and if we were to stay, she would ask the house team not to spray our room the following day. I started to feel unwell and had to leave the hotel and find somewhere to put my head down for the night. Meanwhile the hotel manager logged us as a 'No Show' and cancelled our complete booking which left them in a position of being able to resell and claim 3 nights money from our credit card. To say this is a £250 a night 'travel lodge' would be an insult to Travel Lodge. Avoid this hotel

The staff here is wonderful and will do anything for you. The rooftop pool and hot tub are lovely, with fabulous views, and you can order food and drinks there. The location is very convenient to the beach and the town, within walking distance even for me who has limited mobility, though a little difficult. The walk the beach is beautiful though. The breakfast was excellent, one of the best on our trip. The only thing I didn't like, which was not obvious from the room pictures on the website, is that the bed in our room (208 - I think called Superior sea view) was elevated 2 steps, and the bed was extremely low. I have mobility issues and the steps were not ideal, plus it makes the room smaller and cut-up. I had to position myself with feet on the steps to get out of the bed as it was so low. Our friend had room 206, and his steps were on the other side of the bed, so maybe each room is different. Also, there is not much lighting in the room itself. Overall, the other things made up for it, so it is just things to be aware of. We liked the hotel very much.

Home from home - only thing is we don't have some of the comforts Vitar offers at home!

From start to finish we loved our stay here, so much so, we rebooked to extend our stay especially here.

Fabulous service, especially from Ivanna.

Location 10 mins downhill to Bol centra for shops, bars, cafe, restaurants. Top of hill.
15-20 mins away from Golden Horn beach easy walkable along promenade.
Supermarket 10 mins away.
Tommy 25 mins away.

Rooms with sea view, balcony, very clean comfortable spacious. Safe. Air con. Mini bar. TV mod cons all working well in a studio arrangement. Quiet nights sleep. Lift to assist.
Sink outside toilet and shower.

Rooftop pool with hot tub amazing. Fantastic views. No lifeguard, but pool cool enough. Didn't indulge in sauna or gym on every floor.
Snack and drinks are readily available from menu.....we had the meats cheese platter (see pic) gorgeous! You can order via intercom.

24hour reception multi lingual very friendly and helpful.

Top tip...
If you ask nicely, you can get the half hour Choo Choo that passes the door to drop off €4.

Around €15-20 taxi to harbour. (We think slightly overpriced).

Note..
We had a celebration during our trip and the staff were only too happy to help decorate room and provide celebratory cake and prosecco! Very very nice touch. Other packages are available, this service isn't exclusive but they were just happy to help.

Thank you very much for helping us to enjoy a special time and occasion in this special place...

Booked a classic room for 2 nights and the hotel upgraded us with a balcony & sea view complimentary. Architect award winning hotel exquisitely designed. Extended our stay for an additional night downgrading to a Mountain View at a reasonable price. Both receptionists day & evening are exemplary along with the staff who serve & clean who were so polite where you felt that nothing was a bother. On the roof of the hotel you have panoramic views of the coast line including Golden horn & all the windsurfers going in & out when the wind is up. Hot tub, neat swimming pool & sauna & delicious €8 club sandwiches etc. can be ordered that make it very special. Would rate this as the highlight of our trip to Croatia and would unreservedly recommend.

Hello, what would be the best way to get to the hotel from Split airport? Thank you :)
Answer from Iva Bo
Dear Emily, It is very hard to say if we will be able to offer an upgrade. It mostly depends on availability and how full we are at the moment of your arrival. Normally if we have plenty of room we like to upgrade our guest and treat them however if we are fully booked or have limited availability we assign the room that is booked. Also, should you decide to book a room without a balcony we have the most stunning rooftop where you will no doubt spend most of your time :). Best regards, Ivana Hotel Vitar

Hi Davina, thank you for your question and interest. We do provide beach and pool towels. They are free of charge. The hotel is uphill. It is about 200 meters away from the first beaches and that part is not very uphill or difficult to walk. From the centre there is about 10 minutes walking distance and it is quite uphill. In Bol, unless you are front row to the sea everything is uphill so keep that in mind when choosing the place to stay. We do have beautiful views because we are a bit uphill :). If you have more questions please feel free to contact us again. Best regards, Ivana Lifestyle Hotel Vitar

Hi Mihaela, our mountain view rooms have enough space for two adults and a toddler. Children up to 3 years old are free of charge in existing beds so you can go ahead and book a room as if it was for two persons only. If you would like to have a baby cot it is extra 10,00 EUR per day. You can just put a note in the booking and we will arrange it for you. If you would like a different type of room you can contact our team at the email you can find on our profile and they will advise you on what room would be the best fit for you. I hope this helps :) Best regards, Ivana Lifestyle Hotel Vitar

Dear Ellie, first of all we would like to apologize once again for this inconvenience and charging you twice. We have notified you ourselves as soon as we realized our mistake a couple of hours after charging you and we have offered you two options. First one was to pay you back immediately to your account. In this case the money could have been on your account in matter of hours. Second one was to refund the money to your credit card which can be done only by submitting the request to the bank. You decided to take the second option and as agreed we have submited the request to the bank the same day. We have also called the bank several times in order to hurry them up as much as possible. We understand you are upset and have every right to be. We are honestly sorry and will do everything we can to speed up the process with the bank. Best regards, Hotel Vitar team
