The location is absolutely perfect for us, tucked away from busy crowd so we can thoroughly enjoy the peacefulness and tranquility; but it is also with easy access to Li River and the scenic spots. We took a hiking/climbing trip to Da Mian Mountain 大面山 to see the sun rise. Despite the very early wakeup (4am) and rather exhausting physical workout, the mountain top view and sunrise was absolutely breathtaking and worthwhile.
The host family is great. Ms. Duan gave us very good advice on where to go and when to go, and helped arranged all the transportations. Miss Xing Zi (杏子姑娘) is always so helpful and hardworking. Not mentioning the homecooked meals, they always used the freshest ingredients and tasted great. My son had such a wonderful time playing with Ms. Duan's little boy and their family pets (旺财 and 小菊), so that he was so sad when leaving.
Overall, this is a great place to stay and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Xing Ping. For us, it's already on our plan for a revisit.
