This is a floating hotel, it was rebranded two years ago under the name Uiara. Our hotel was more spacious than any in Manaus we stayed. Very clean, hot and cold water.
No problems with mosquitoes. This is all inclusive, so all of the meals, snacks included. Excursions were a part of our package.
Staff was fantastic, accommodating my family, and children.
I had a massage on the dock beside the Amazon river, My children fished off a different portion of the dock with my husband and caught fish. This is offered at any point during the stay.
Many of the staff speak English, which was essential for us, but free Wi-Fi is available and all the staff has Google Translate for any difficulty understanding.
I am an early riser and did need to wait a little while for the kitchen to be open for coffee but coffee and a full breakfast begins at 7:30.
We were delighted with all of our experience. We were given directions with GPS location to meet at their office in Manaus. They loaded our bags, we took a very beautiful boat 30minutes to hotel.
They do say water here is clean to drink from tap because they have filters but we preferred to pay for bottled water (extra cost). Alcohol, sodas, bottled water are an extra cost. I believe the pool may be river water, I smell no Chemicals but have not asked.
We have enjoyed the pool time. There is also a trampoline and inflatable bounce house for Kids.
We saw wildlife on a night boat tour which was amazing. I highly recommend any of the excursions that we have had so far. Tonight my family will do a survival course with option to sleep in the jungle. I am staying in the room with the provided crib for my baby. I

We went to Uiara to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I didn’t know what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised by the staff of all areas: reception, garçons, chefs, animation, cleaning. Everybody who works in this resort loves their job and they genuinely want the guest to feel like a King. They go beyond what you would normally can expect from hotel employees. The culinary experience is also worthwhile mentioning, they have a great chef! Uiara is an excellent place to escape from busy life and find peace. I highly recommend you try it out for yourself.

We had a great experience at Uiara. The people were the nicest ever and the service was fantastic. We were treated excellently. The resort is located, literally, in the Amazon Jungle. You're floating on a lake connected to the Rio Negro with the jungle all around. At night, the sounds are incredible. All the activities are included with the room rate with boat rides and a guide. They provided us with an itinerary of planned activities when we checked in, but were flexible to work around some of our requirements and desires.
Food is included and delicious. You have to pay for your drinks, but bottled water is free which is a big step up from the rest of our stay in Brazil. And, you'll drink a lot of water as it is pretty certain to be warm and muggy.
The pool area was pretty and the waiters attentive and nice.
The room was functional and we enjoyed our little private balcony. It would have been nice to have some sheer covering the sliding door however. Great water pressure in the shower.
Special thanks to Luiz who was an awesome guide for all of our activities and for all of our questions. Also, we really enjoyed talking with Aleazao (I'm sure I spelled that wrong).
As I said the food was delicious, but a few more options on the cut of meat and the type of fish would have been nice. They were prepared differently each time however and it was always delicious.
It is important to remember that you're staying on the water here and as such, the accommodations may not be as fancy as some might want, but when you take into account the location and the service, this is a tough place to beat. Would stay here again for sure.

Uiara is a character of an Amazon’s folk tale, a mystical mermaid, and this hotel could not have been named better. From the moment you approach Uiara by boat, after being picked in nearby Manaus, you will fall under the spell of this magical place.
Set in the Rio negro, at the Lake Salvador, it’s surrounded by nature at is best: the luscious Amazon’s rain forest. Stepping off the taxi boat, you first encounter the wooden tail of the mermaid that gives the hotel its name so you can take some fun pictures while she starts casting her charming net all around you. Everything in the hotel has been thought of for a luxury and peaceful retreat: a small number of rooms beautifully decorated in keeping with their surroundings, a team that continuously goes out of their way to ensure you have the best experience and a chef that produces some of the tastiest and most beautifully presented food I have ever had, local cuisine with a modern touch. The quiet sounds of nature are a balm for the soul.
You can simply enjoy the peace and tranquility of the swimming pool and rest areas, or you can join the activities that are planned through the day. There are also day trips organised to visit indigenous tribes nearby, famous film sets and to swim with the pink dolphins that live freely nearby. By the time you leave (very reluctantly in my case) you will feel that a spell of peace and well being has been cast all over you. I honestly did not expect to find such a place and team in this part of my trip to Brazil. My thanks to you all, specially to Ingrid and her stories about working and living in such a special part of our planet. I will be back! Obrigada de coração!!!

Is Uiara a beautiful Hotel located on an amazing location? … Yes...it is…Does Uiara deliver on what is advertised, and more … Yes, it does.
But truthfully, In the world, as I am sure, in Brazil, there are many beautiful hotels in amazing locations fulling high expectations.
So, what is it that sets apart Uiara from any other resort ??? … It is Will in “entertainment”, who makes it impossible to be near him without a smile … It is Maureen at the front desk , that being young enough to be my daughter , treated me and my family as if she was our mom… taking care of us , making us feel safe , warm and happy … Marco , the chef , just sharing his time his stories and his knowledge . Ingrid at the bar, not only making the best piña coladas I have ever had, but serving them to you as if you were the most important person in that hotel. This just to name a few names, since in reality is was everyone from the boat driver to the security staff … everyone making us feel special.
I honestly don’t remember if the towels were soft, if the room met my expectations or how much I paid … All of that pretty quickly became unimportant . What became important are the priceless memories … We will always smile when we remember people we shared or time with.
So, if you are looking for an absolutly beautiful hotel located on a breathtaking background, … There are a few to choose form … But if you are looking for much more than that … if you also want to feel welcomed. appreciated .... special … the you have Uiara

Excellent five star experience in the Amazon Jungle Hotel. The room was clean and air conditioned, stocked with a mini bar. The pools are beautiful and refreshing, including the encaged one that goes into the Rio Negro. The food is also excellent. We loved the activities as well. We only wish we could have seen more alligators 🤣 wonderful visit overall!

An amazing place. The hotel was certainly different. I guess a few might pick fault with it but I think the attention you get from the staff more than makes up for anything else. The trips we did were fantastic and our guide, Luiz, was brilliant. He also spoke very good English and was exceptionally informative.

Amazing hotel. Actually I would say amazing experience. From when we walked in to when we walked out the door we were treated like family. They all went out of their way to make sure they tailored to our likes. Bruno jumped in the water to catch an alligator. Renato always made sure we were happy and taken care of. Maury helped explain everything. All the activities with Will were fun and laughter filled. The hotel was 5 star clean. The food was 5 stat amazing. The whole family had a blast.

We inform the floating lodge is located 15 km from Manaus airport – located at Rain forest. we have daily motorboat departure at 15h and return at 13h. In any other situation that need motorboat we charge as additional service. The length of the path of the Hotel to the pier is 40 minutes.

According to your request AJP is located on the right bench of the Black River in the Jungle, 8 miles far from to the airport, 30-minute by motorboat, and more 20 minutes by Van - from our private pier located in Manaus to the Airport. Regular transfer to AJP to the airport available upon check out at 13h daily. Besides this schedule you can have any time according to your convenience as additional payment at reception desk.
