Detailed Reviews
If you want a hotel with easy beach access then keep looking.
The hotel is on the beach but they won't let you use the beach access. Instead you have to walk all the way back to the main road watching out for the broken sewer holes on the way. About 1km walk just to get the beach.
The pool was nice but full of algae.
Big size room with 2 flat pillows and the bed only has a sheet.
Towels are the size of floor mats.
However our request of extra pillows and a blanket were met with good service.
A few small changes and it would be an good hotel. No access to the beach was a big let down.... The stairs are there they just keep them locked and wouldn't open to let us down.

We stayed one night because we were going on a river cruise and the boat could pick us up right behind the hotel. The rooms were adequate, but service in the restaurant was so slow that we nearly missed our cruise. Also, there is NOTHING nearby. Several of us were looking for an ATM or bank to change money and we would have had to take a taxi to anyplace. There is a small store in the lobby, but it seemed to be closed more often than open. Staff was nice but spoke little English.

+1
To pay for a hotel upgrade to find that your room smells of dead rats is not so appealing.
The hotel was disgusting. It is dirty. Even the prepackaged butter is off the chefs wipe their face with the same clothes that they clean the frying pans with, and all in all the hotel was just a disgrace, and should not be recommended by anyone with any basic living standards?

I am about to check out of this hotel and thought I would write a review while I had some time. It is a good hotel. I stayed in an apartment on the 6 th floor, booked through Airbnb. The people on reception are very helpful and friendly and the check in process was smooth. The hotel has a great pool area which I made full use of after day trips. It looks out onto the river, and you may be lucky and see river dolphins like I did this evening. I ate at the restaurant two nights. I had the steak Sandwich which was the best I have ever had. Tonight, I had the chicken and rice soup which was delicious. I did also have coffee and cake from the small cafe in the reception area for afternoon tea and that was nice too. You can access the river beach by going out the front and walking a few minutes down the drive and turn right and go down the steps. The beach area is nice for a paddle, and you can buy drinks from the vendors. There is some construction work going on next door, but I didn't hear any noise. I did also book a day tour with the tour agency in the lobby area and that was great. There is a little shop selling items like sunscreen in the lobby area as well.
I'm not sure what the apartments would look like as some of them are rented out with Airbnb . The one I am in is basic but functional and has good air conditioning. I think this is a good area as it is not far from the airport.

This place could be great.
It’s located on Rio Negro, offers great views, especially at sunrise and sunset, the infinity pool could be a great place to relax, so, in theory, the far distance to the center of town would be no problem.
The staff at the reception desk are friendly and helpful.
But:
All in all it’s about as charming as a communist Inter-Hotel, back in the days...
Those were cleaner, however.
As others before me have written, the rooms are smelly, in dire need of a proper cleaning, the restaurant is a bad joke, the Caipirinha is watery and if you’re lucky, you’ll get one after reminding them 2 times of your order.
The AC didn’t work in my room with seaview, on the 11th floor, temperature inside was a cosy 34˚C.
I was told they would fix it, but that never happened, so after complaining for the 3rd time I was given another room, on the 5th floor, with a lovely view of the construction site behind.
Breakfast was OK, but at 10am sharp you get kicked out, be prepared for that.
Overall experience: Very disappointing.

The rooms are ok but the rest of the hotel is not clean. Exterior of the pool and garden was dirty and elevators without lights. Hotel needs improvements and correct maintenance. The service and quality of the restaurant of the hotel was really bad.

The hotel was awesome! All of the staff at the restaurant, the pool, and housekeeping were great! And Gabriel was extremely helpful at the front desk. Whatever you needed, he can make it happen. I highly recommend getting an apartment with a balcony, to make the experience even better.

Pros: Amazing view, great pool, good breakfast, close to airport and Ponta Negra, perfect location for boat excursions
Cons: No bar, no restaurant (only breakfast), public areas run down, broken dirty outdoor furniture, wifi not available on upper floors, no balcony furnishings
In sum: Adequate hotel if you get a deeply discounted rate. Dining options are the Tropical next door (not recommended) or a short walk to Ponta Negra (recommended)

We have very nice views from our room.
Nice and big swimming pool with clean and warm water. Amazing river view from swimming pool.
Room was clean and tidy.
Friendly staff. Most of them speak English.
I hated the terrible smell of cleaning products.
After stay in this hotel, we goes to the jungles and remarked that we forgot jacket, jumper and blanked in our room. I sent email, that we forgot our items and when we come back from the jungles, we would like to come to pick up them. I did not received any answer.

Próximo do hotel não há! É uma área bem reservada. Terá que pegar um uber ou um táxi para ir para o centro mas melhor mesmo ver algo quando for para os passeios no centro histórico, segurança mais garantida.
