This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel in the last year or two, and we have found it reliable - quiet, clean, friendly staff, room darkening curtains, comfortable king bed and pillows. It's nice to not have to research a lot of different hotels.
I am a frequent Hampton Inn hotel stayer and this Hampton was a disappointment. This hotel is in need of a renovation! The bathroom baseboards had mold. The bedroom had small black bugs on the curtains that flew around and landed on our bed. Looked to verify no bed bugs were there. We stayed on a weekend (Friday - Sunday). Friday night had high school sports teams there so breakfast the next morning was all about getting your breakfast and going to the room to eat, as the long high top table was “closed”. And only 3 tables and chairs were available for sitting. The room keys didn’t work most of the time. Front desk said not to put it near cell phones as it desensitizes the card. But apparently just putting it in your pocket with nothing else desensitizes it as well. Super disappointing for Hampton Inn. Should I travel to Alice, TX again, I’ll stay elsewhere. …
This hotel very avg. rooms not clean, Service not good! No shampoo in room, Had to request change of room due to cleanliness, received smaller room, no adjustment, very little customer interactions on checkout!
Waited for someone to appear at the desk to check into 2 rooms. Got upstairs, keys only worked on 1 room. 10pm we discovered that there was no hot water in our room and no way to turn off the shower water. Called front desk 4 times before getting the response of “ well there’s nothing we can do”. After our complaints they decided to give us another room. Now after 10:30pm I have to get out of bed, repack, unload fridge and make 20 trips back and forth moving to new room. Staff refused to offer any assist. We were told “ we are already accommodating you by letting you move”. (Wow!) new room was dirty, thick dust was an asthma nightmare. Trash already in can. Fridge fell out of cabinet when opened. Fell on my husband’s foot. While I’m removing my items from the old bathroom items I slip on the wet floor. Staff had left shower door completely open with shower running. “Manager” shows up, wearing t shirt, no ID or name tag hmmm. I tried to calmly explain our issues. She got about 2 inches from my face and was screaming about I better be glad they gave me another room, if the fridge is falling out don’t touch it. I told her we didn’t have room keys to the new room. She said, “ you should have them, right now we just have to figure out how this shower got broken. I had to get called up here fir this” I said I’ve never been in a hotel- On vacation and been treated this way EVER! she yelled and said we are short staffed, deal with it. Side note, I am a nurse, RN. I know alll about being short staffed, during a worldwide deadly pandemic but I had to keep saving lives… what was supposed to be a nice family stay ended with being very inconvenienced, brought out of bed to haul luggage and food from thanksgiving during the night into a new room that was dirty and being yelled at by a staff of a hotel where I paid for 2 rooms. The stay was a nightmare. Oh, and had to go back down to desk to get the keys we never received. Manager response- well then how did you get in? Uhhh YOU blocked it open with the bolt. Terrible, that’s all I can say. We’ve stayed at many Hampton’s but this may be the last.…
We needed a place to stay that was convenient to local birding hotspots, and like Hampton Inns. This unit was clean, staff was helpful, it was quiet, and we had a good night’s sleep. There was a maintenance issue that necessitated changing rooms, as the toilet was very slow to refill, but it was quickly done.
Rooms had bed bugs. Abd when I was checking out the housekeepers were not separating bed bugs sheets from other peoples room stuff. Mixing it all up with other room laundry. Staff not super responsive fir the bed bug issue. Also ac in second room was not working well. Vert hit at night.
Clean. Professional. Courteous. Restful. Would definitely recommend a stay here to anyone traveling and needing a good rest. Very accommodating to our family’s individual needs…pool, computer station, wifi, gym and the breakfast was AMAZING!
Friendly greeting, easy check in, limited continental breakfast, COVID precautions followed according to guidelines, found one live roach in room and pubic hair in bath tub. Typically stay at Hampton Inn because amenities.
The hotel staff was very professional and definitely provided great customer service. They made sure to greet everyone and welcomed everyone. They double checked to see if the rooms were to our satisfaction
You are greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk employee, who goes above and beyond! The beds are super comfortable, rooms are clean! It will be nice to get back to a little better breakfast, but they do a great job in this time of COVID.
