I just returned from an oilfield business trip and just wanted to compliment the hotel and its management on the quality stay I had there. The room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The TV worked great and the manager was attentive. Thanks again. I will be back.

If you love having your room filled with crickets, this is your place! For only a high price of $60/night you can have your own cricket circus! Don't miss this opportunity! Oh and then things kept breaking, we moved rooms 3 times. So if you like to pick up your stuff and move everyday, again this may be the place for you!

This room is disgusting. Mold and water damage in the ceiling. The room was not even clean when we checked in. If you want clean sheets you have to give them yours because they do not have extras. The restaurant is not good either. This hotel is not just old it is unclean and should be condemned. The only reason we stayed is because we had no other place to go being a hurricane evacuee. The owners are Indian and very rude they wouldn't even let the children play with chalk on the sidewalk. The maid is nice although she has not cleaned this room once. There's a train close by that is terribly loud and it's right off a highway. There is a pool but it has been closed since we got here. Over all I am very very unhappy with this hotel, and the people that run/ own it. I wish I could give this place no stars it does not even deserve one.

The property is a bit older place, but a good place, with no worry on any thing. The rooms were large and the bed were firm and had good pillows. The bathroom was clean and had good water pressure in the shower. There was a newer flat screen TV with good reception. The WIFI was a bit spotty at time The only draw back is there was no refrigerator. There is a resturant on the property and a full breakfast is included with the room and buffet style lunch is very reason price and plenty to eat I you a large truck and / or trailer could be a bit of issue. The folks here are super nice and want to say thank you to Alma whom was very help

worth it for what we had paid for our stay . very affordable weekly price $350 per week and cheaper when compared to other motels in the surrounding area.As a resident from kileen, I travel to alice each month for business. I can truly say that the hotel manager and her staff are the most deserving of my praise and respect. Keep up the good work.

We travel a lot for business and have seen my fair share of bad hotels but this one was good. It could definitely use an update but the room was huge. Room was clean and didn't smell like some of the other reviews said. I would change the color of the walls it was so dark. My only real complaint would be people sitting outside in the trucks playing loud music and drinking all hours of the night. You have a room go inside and have your little party not bother everyone else trying to sleep. ( started at 9pm and didn't stop until 3am) over all a good stay. Would stay again if we come back for work.

I stayed there this week while attending a family funeral. It was the cheapest compared to others at $70 and the next available rates were at $130 and up. Hotels are rediculously overpriced in this area. I grew up in this neighborhood and 40-50 years ago this probably was a nice hotel but I don't understand why it hasn't been updated or even torn down to re-build. The industry is good in Alice due to Oil/Frocking Industry. I felt like I had stayed the night in Jail/the slammer/the joint. It was nasty. I know you get what you pay for but even at $55, a shelter might have been cleaner. The artwork was probably 50 years old and faded evenly to a graytone. The bed wasn't even a bed, it was a box spring and mattress on some an unpainted wood frame on the bottom. The pillows were so flat that it didn't even seem like I had a pillow. The A/C filter had so much dust in it and so glad it was cool enough outside that I didn't have to use the A/C. The tub had all kinds of cigarette burns even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The base-boards had so much dirt on it and the walls have probably not been painted in years. Of course the sheetrock is so brittle the walls could likely fall apart at the touch of a paint brush. Come on Scottish Inn, get your act together and update this place while the potential for business is good. The food buffet was ok. Coffee was good and fresh and the waitress was very nice courteous and in good spirits.

For a non-smoking room, the bathtub was badly stained with cigarette burns. Eventually got accustomed to the stale odor in the room & heater smells. Floor did not feel clean, but no cockroaches seen. Beds were clean & comfortable. Breakfast buffet was fair; especially the menudo very good. Would have to say was worth the price, but will pay a little more for something nicer next time.
