We booked OMO7 because we enjoyed staying at Kai of the same hotel group, and OMO7 is more affordable. The hotel's hardware if fine, but seems lack of human touch to me. We did not have much interaction with the staff as everything is self serviced.

We made the reservation via Agoda. The breakfast has been included but it's set breakfast rather than buffet. The set is fine ton us. It covers soup, salad, drink and one main course. We tried the French toast that's good. We also did pay extra yen1250 per person to try the buffer breakfast. Good variety.

Hotel guest are required to pay 1000yen per night per person to use the public bath. I think it's so so. It's indoor, and frankly speaking I think OMO7 can be more gerenous offering the bath free of charge to hotel guests.

Tennoji is ~20mins walking distance, with wide range of dinning options, or else you can take the metro that's just 1 station. The NanKai railway station is next to the hotel that makes the travel to airport convenient.

Pros:
1. Located near 2 train stations, making it very convenient to get to and fro the airport and also easy access to other parts of Osaka.
2. 10-15 min walk to Kizu market, a local fish, fruits and vegetable market which isn’t too crowded with tourist (yet). You can visit this market for inexpensive fruits and sashimi. Do visit early as shops start closing around 10:30am.
3. They have nightly beer and snacks for guests.
4. There is a large garden and a public bath for guest as well.
5. Several family marts and Lawsons and a fairly large Don Quijote located within a 5 min walk from the hotel.
6. There is a smoking lounge / smoking area located within the hotel for smokers
7. Transportation provided to and from universal studios which is convenient because if you take the trains, you will need to change stations in between.

Cons:
1. The activities provided are in Japanese only. One of the reasons we picked OMO7 was because we were intrigued by the activities provided and we signed up for it prior to arrival only to be told when we checked in that it’s advisable we cancel as it’s all conducted in Japanese.
2. A linen Yukata is provided by the hotel which is meant to be used as pyjamas or to be worn around the hotel as loungewear but it was uncomfortable to sleep in.
3. The room we picked which is a king room was quite big but unfortunately the bed is in an enclosed space (I attached photos I found online as mine were not as clear). It is quite claustrophobic and also if your partner snores, the sound echos very very loudly within the enclosed space.
4. Service staff were hit and miss, some of them were friendly and helpful while some were not so kind. On one of the nights, we went to try the beer and snacks in the garden. The staff spoke to the Japanese guest very nicely and gave a family of 3 people 3 plates of takoyaki (6 pcs per plate) and when it was my turn she said only 3pcs per person and gave me one plate to share between me and my husband.

We stayed for 5 nights here and 4 nights at their sister hotel OMO5 kyoto sanjo. Honestly we picked these over our usual hotels in both locations as we were intrigued by the extra activities provided, so for us to be told that it’s better for us to not join since they will only conduct it in Japanese was extremely disappointing.

The hotel provided pick up from the airport but we did not use this as we came from Nagoya. Getting to the hotel is not difficult as you will be able to see the hotel once you reached Shin-Imamiya station. Just that if you have luggages, use the East exit as there is an elevator.

THe hotel provides a number of activities including walking tours as well as the PikaPika event in the evenings where they served free sushi and beers. It is quite a nice experience sitting outside and experiencing the cool air while having your sushi and beer. They also provided free shuttle to Universal Studio Japan but as we did not make our reservations earlier, we did not managed to use this service.

Size of the room is not as big as we wished for but it is comfortable.

The hotel is walking distance to Shinsekai where you can find lots of eateries. There are also many convenient stores around the area.

Service staff is helpful and friendly.

Would recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay at OMO7, I read some mixed reviews on this hotel but I really liked what I saw in the photos so thought we'd give it a go and we were not disappointed. Sure, it's a bit further out than the main hotel area but this was not an issue as it was so close to the train station, we also used their bus service to get to USJ. As an Aussie this seemed to be more of a modern take on Japanese living, Beds on the floor yet so comfy, no shoes allowed in the hotel rooms and lounge wear/robes provided at check in and encouraged to be worn around the hotel the clog/croc type shoes. Funky artwork and bold colour choices this was in no way boring. Recently built everything was new and clean. As a family of 4 we booked an Idobata Suite which had plenty of space for us. I wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds and the onsen. I would recommend staying here and would stay here again.

My first OMO experience and I think it works! This is a massive property in Osaka right next to a train station. There are interesting features such as the public bath that makes it modern and yet traditional. The self check in and out process was smooth and easy. The corner room we booked had an impressive view and is very decent sized.

Fancy hotel, but the rooms aren’t well planned. When you turn on the light in the bathroom, everyone wakes up. The sliding Japanese paper screen used to separate the bathroom from the sleeping area allows tons of light to escape into the bedroom area. It doesn’t even close completely. In addition the room obviously wasn’t made with a woman in mind. The light for the mirror comes out from behind it. Therefore, there is no light over the mirror to put on make-up. How dumb is that?

OMO7 was my first hotel for my Osaka trip. Location is convenient which is near to Namba and restaurants/shops. Lobby and rooms are great, clean, new, large and creative design/decoration. Just the free breakfast arrangement was a bit not well-managed (Some of the guests need to wait for the table). Overall I would recommend this hotel.

I’ve been staying at the hotel form 23- June .
Actually, we did enjoy the stay for first 4 nights , but I’m really disappointed for the last night . Yes , it’s Tonite !

When we came back at 20:20, that our room is dirty without any housekeeping service .

I tried to call the receptionist to find out the reason and tried to ask more assistant for the trash and dirty towel .

Here’s comes the excuse that I hand out the DND on the door , so they will not into the to clean . As a 20years experience of hotel worker , I’m 100% SURE that I didn’t hang it while we went out this morning , PLEASE check the CCTV to check .

Pleaser don’t argue with guest that your hotel did not finish the job !

I could accept the mistake that everyone may happed or miss .

Until now , my room still dirty to sleep .

Loved this property! We didnt spend as much time here due to an unplanned flight cancellation, but we loved it while we were there. Very friendly staff and very clean rooms with a beautiful view. Hotel is right next to a train station so it was very easy to get around. Many places to eat around the hotel and a family mart right on the corner. With a mega don quijote across the street. Definitely coming back to OMO7 when we come back to osaka

This hotel is located in front of the deep Kamagasaki Ginza district. It's actually located in Naniwa Ward. Just across the street is Nishinari, a busy area of Kamagasaki Ginza. Of course, you can't see Osumi Apartments from the hotel, but there are a lot of things to see before you get to the hotel. I guess it's not for people who don't like that difference. The mineral water at the hotel is really tasty. The food is also tasty. The vife is expensive, but it's worth the price if it's tasty.
