I can't emphasise enough how great the location of Hankyu Respire is. If you are arriving from Kansai Airport, the limousine bus takes you directly to Hotel New Hankyu which is just across the road, one pedestrian crossing away. This is very importantly especially if you are landing late at night. And if you are going to use the Osaka Loop Line (or any other regular train for that matter) a lot, Hankyu Respire is linked to the Osaka Station, just not 100% sheltered from the rain. Toiletries and teabags are self-service at the lobby. Even check-in is self-service at the kiosk. You may say this lacks the human touch, but it saves you the long queue like you see in some big hotels. I was delighted to find children toiletries and face towel set at the lobby. The room was a bit cramped, and my window was a view of the air con condenser units. But you can hardly beat the new facilities and the proximity to the station. I didn't order the hotel breakfast as you will not be short of choices in the JR station area. If it is a rainy day or you are lazy, there are ample of shopping malls around the area. Would definitely consider coming back, as long as I book a bigger room next time.

Hotel has a big lobby most of the time filled with big crowds esp tour groups. Check in and out is self service. Free drip coffee, drip tea in the lobby all day which is nice. Room is modern, fairly new, clean and nice but the bathroom has a bit of a musky smell cos the ventilation is not so good. What i dislike however is the crazy crowds for lifts, esp when u hv to take it twice to lobby at level 9 before changing it to the lift that bring you to the room floors.

This hotel is horrible. I have stayed here once before on business and it wasn’t great but this time was really bad. The automated check-in is a joke. By they time each person checking in has stuffed around and has to call a staff member over, they could have checked 5 people in the traditional way. This place is so crowded, you have to get your ammenities from a box at reception like you’ve just arrived to do a 5 year stretch in prison! The rooms are tiny and smell. Bathroom is dirty - I don’t think they spend much time cleaning each room. I ended up moving to another hotel. For the same price you can stay at the Westin Osaka - much nicer and better everything!

Our last stop in Japan was Osaka and this amazing hotel made our last few days memorable. It was a modern hotel with free coffee and tea in the lobby. The location was absolutely perfect atop a shopping mall and connected to a subway. Our room was HUGE and had four single beds with a large shower bath and separate toilet as well. There were free toiletries and slippers. The included breakfast was a super delicious and plentiful. The breakfast was the same each day but with enough choices that I was able to eat something different each day, if visiting Osaka this is THE hotel to stay at. Highly recommend it!

The Hotel Respire at Osaka was OK but not great The check in was all on machines at the front desk - no front desk staff would assist - you had to use the check in machine to check in - we had problems and asked for help - the assistant came and helped us - but was clearly frustrated and curt. There was a long line of people to check in - and using the machines took time - they were certainly NOT user friendly. We were allocated room 1940 - the room was small not much room to move about in the room - and not much room for our luggage - we had to move furniture to accommodate our bags. The room had all the features you could ask for - fridge (small) , safe - we had problems with the safe - would not operate properly (needed new batteries) - but this took several requests before being addressed. There was a large Tv (and for once we had English language channels - a PLUS) The beds were comfortable and al you could ask for The bathroom worked well -plenty of hot water (quickly) and the ubiquitous Japanese toilet breakfast was included - but mainly consisted o Japanese style with very few western alternatives - we were OK with this, but could imagine that some people would prefer a greater western variety All in all - an OK place to stay at - but it would appear that this hotel is used by many tour companies with a large number of tour guests booking in at the same time

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in June 2023 before going to Arima Onsen. The location of the hotel next to the Osaka train and subway stations is very convenient, allowing me to easily travel around the city by train or subway and plan ahead for my next station by bus. The room was spacious enough for three people. The cleaning service was great and it was very quiet at night, which allowed us to sleep well. The hotel is directly linked to a shopping mall, which is great for dining and shopping. Please note that most of the shops close before 9pm and restaurants don't accept orders after 10pm. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Perfect location for a stay in Osaka. The hotel is attached to the Links, which is part of the JR station and subway. Was sooo confusing, but we finally got the hang of it by about day three. Was great coming back from sightseeing and being able to just walk upstairs to the room. Would stay again.

This was our first trip back to Japan since the outbreak, and I must say this hotel was excellent. Reasonably priced. Prefect location situated between Ōsaka Station and Umeda Station with bridges connecting to both. The hotel itself is located in LINKS Umeda, and the hotel starts from the 9th floor. They have a self check-in service with multiple languages to pick from. There’s also a clerk to help you if you have any questions. The staff provided excellent service, and they all spoke English too. The hotel also has a hands-free luggage service for reasonable price. Now room was a bit small, but that’s standard for Japan. There bathroom makes up for that though. Walk-in shower with both a rainfall shower head and a detachable shower head. There’s also a tub in the shower as well. The hotel also supplies bath amenities such as shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. They also have razor sets, toothbrush sets, combs, tea packets, and coffee. These need to get picked up in the lobby area. And yes they also have WiFi too. The restaurant was okay. We had there buffet style breakfast for 2,500 yen. The building the hotel is in has restaurants, so you don’t need to go far to find food. Just take the escalator one floor down from the lobby. They also have a convenience store on the ground floor as well as a grocery store and a McDonald’s on the floor below that. Overall this is, in my opinion, one of the better hotels in Osaka. You get more for the price you pay, can’t beat the location, and easy communication with the staff.

Location is great - very convenient for LUCUA, Grand Front Osaka, and the new part of Osaka station to take the Haruka to the airport. Very new and clean - lobby has nice array of seats and even around a large table if you need to do work, free coffee and tea drinks via machine, pamphlets in different languages including maps. Check-in and check-out were fast - can be done yourself via a row of machines. Escalator at the lobby itself goes to a whole floor of restaurants (at least 10 different ones) below including Starbucks, very convenient. We booked a Connecting room, two beds in one and 3 beds in the other room, and the size was actually quite okay (I was expecting tiny) and well-laid out. Bathroom was also nice. Absolutely no complaints, I would totally stay here even longer than the one night we did stay.

We picked this hotel because of location. We stayed in lots of cities in Japan and this was our least favourite hotel. It is not a bad hotel but it is not user friendly. From the access( changing lifts and walking across the building to the other lift) and the check auto check in. All very impersonal but the check in/out worked. Rooms are small and typical of some Japanese hotels. Would stay elsewhere next time. Felt like a massive industrial scale hotel but to be fair rooms are quiet and have exceptional views.
