Me and my partner stayed here for a total of 2 nights at the beginning of February. When we first arrived at the hotel we were extremely early although the staff were very polite they wouldn’t allow us to check in until it was exactly 3pm, so just be aware. The staff are more than willing for you to leave your suitcases which we done and we had access to the second floor toilet to freshen up a little bit before heading off to explore. When we returned we checked in and went to our room which was on 9th floor. When entering the room we realised that this building potentially could be ex housing turned into a hotel as our room was very big and spacious with a small kitchenette. The room had a small sofa, comfortable bed and Tv. It was very clean and WiFi was always strong at all times. There was even a pocket phone you could use to take outside if you had no internet connection on your normal phone (which we did as there was a emergency while we were staying there ) The bathroom and toilet were separate and big enough. The water was always warm and had a good amount of power. Again both areas were very clean and tidy. Towels and toilet amenities were provided if you had forgotten a toothbrush or was running low on shampoo etc . There was also a hairdryer there too. The kitchenette if you wanted to use the stove there was a sign that you needed to advise the staff at reception as they will then turn the power on for it. We never used it as we ate out so it didn’t bother us too much. There was also a small fridge too so great if you want to come back to a cool drink in the evening after all that exploring. Our room also came with a small balcony which was nice although we never really used it while we was there. The hotel has a family Mart and drug store next to it which is perfect if you require something later on in your travels or want to buy alcohol/late night snack. We had buffet breakfast which was lovely. They had foods like boiled eggs, salad, miso soup, pasta , pancakes ,rice etc from what I can remember. There is also a small public bath with sauna within the hotel. It’s free to go too ,but as it’s only one bath there are certain times for men and ladies. I never went to this bath but my partner did who throughly enjoyed it. Overall it was a lovely stay and I would definitely return. It’s in a really nice central location close to a shopping centre.

We arrived at the hotel early in the morning after taking a train from Kansai International Airport. Check-in is at 2.00 pm. So we left our luggage at the hotel. The hotel lobby is really small. There is no facility, only a spa at the 10th floor. Cafeteria is at the 2nd floor. Vending machines are available at the lobby. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Locality is good within walking distance to the Namba Train Station. There are quite a number of eateries near the hotel. There is a family mart downstairs and a pharmacy next door. So it is very convenient. As many other hotels in Osaka, the room is small. There’s no hook in the washroom for you to hang your clothing. The shower head is leaking. Need to be fixed. (Room 720) Wifi is not fast, only 6.8 Mbps when tested. Sleeping quality is not good as they don’t provide extra pillow or bolster! I can’t comment on the breakfast as we didn’t take breakfast at this hotel. It’s very suitable for travellers which just need a place to stay and have no time to enjoy hotel facilities. Overall stay is satisfactory.

Hotel Relief (Namba) We were pleased with the room allocated on a high floor. There was ample space in the bed room for two adults and a three-years old that the little one had a bit of room to play about. We had two large and one small luggage. What was nice was the transition of space between the bedroom and the little area leading to the room door. The bathroom and toilet were seperate and both were clean. The balcony was spacious and it was helpful to leave the door open to allow air into the room in the mornings. It was a good place to dry our clothes before packing them in the luggage home. My only wish was to have a pole or wire to hang the clothes properly. The onsen was helpful. One onsen shared between the genders with each gender assigned to a set of fixed timeslot throughout the day. Getting to the hotel. The station nearest to the hotel is the Daikokuchu Station on the Midosuji line. This is the pink line in the Metro network. Depending on which line/train service you arrive at Osaka, this may or may not be a good option because its quite something to navigate the connecting train stations plus the different platform levels. I would recommend that you get on street level and head to a long, diagonal street located opposite Namba Parks (a shopping mall). This street is situated between MacDonald and Hiyori Hotel. The street is easy on the luggage versus the red-brick pathway along the main road that we took. Walk straight untill you reach a Melon de Melon (a pastry shop) located at a corner of a junction. Turn right and walk all the way straight. When you reach the main road, you will find a comestic-type outlet at the corner. The hotel is just next to it with a Family Mart beside the entrance. SUPERMARKET There is one supermarket, called LIFE, located across the hotel. I would say a ten mins walk at most. It is located behind a petrol station and a Toyota Building in the direction of Daikokuchu station. Cheap and Good eats is all around the hotel and across the road. As long as you are away from the Namba Train stations and shopping malls.

Just spent one night here but it was very nice. The balcony is priceless especially if on the top floors. Proximity to Namba station and the night market is a big plus. The stairway was quite funny, how you could walk in the room from an open stairway, but not in a negative way, just unusual. Might be a bit loud for some, but it is a compromise for the location.

It was a big family trip. We were 12 in total divided into four rooms. I stayed in the room with one double bed (by north American standards). The other type of room my relatives stayed had a bunk bed and the beds were like double size. The room was much more spacious than the one we stayed in Tokyo and Himeji. You can open you luggage, walk about, there are two arm chairs. the bed was very firm. I figured it is a common thing in Japan because the hotels I stayed in at Himeji and Tokyo had very firm bed too. the bath room has a deep tub which is also the shower. It is a handheld shower head that if you hang it up the water goes at an angle that does not hit you and water could go everywhere. there is no shower curtain to prevent the water from going everywhere. The tub is deep which is good for a soak. The shower/tub is separate from the toilet. There are no hooks or towel bars in the bathroom or in the room. So figure out a place where you can hang your towels. The hotel is located 5 minutes from Daikokucho station and at most 15 minutes from the busy Namba station. There is a convenience store beside and across the hotel and a pharmacy next door. There are restaurants close to the hotel including Japanese fast food. There is a grocery store less than 15 minutes away. The location is convenient. The lobby is just the front desk and the elevator really. there's no sitting area to wait. the staff are helpful and straightforward. If you need anything you can ask the front desk. The breakfast buffest was around 1000 yen. I liked it but you can save more eating breakfast elsewhere.

We booked a quad room from Agoda. It turned out to be a double deck bed for 4 people! We requested for change to another room for 4 people with beds side-by-side, they charged us additional 1000 yen/night. However it turned out the new room was meant for 2 people as the bed was only slightly bigger than a super-single bed! Due to poor sleep quality, we had to pay another 6000 yen/ night to get another similar room 😣 We were also surprised the room rate was meant for eco-friendly service- meaning we had to clear our rubbish n towels ourselves! But they packed towels in plastic bags n hang outside our room every morning! Not sure how eco friendly translate to no room make-up and excessive use of plastic bags just to replenish the towels! The room is dated and bare minimum. Bathroom is dangerous as you need to step into a deep bath tub and there is nothing available to hang your towels or clothing! A lot of ambulance/fire engine pass by the road outside as we could hear the loud sirens every night! Staff speaks good English but check-out time is an early 10 am! Strictly no extension as they just told us 500 yen would be charged for every hour. This is our less than positive experience in the hotel which marred our entire experience in Osaka 😔

Located at Daikokucho area, nearby (not in) Namba. Of course you can walk some 20 minutes to Namba, but I 'd rather take the MRT, just one stop to Namba. Three minutes walk to MRT Daikokucho Station. Walking distance to many restaurants and convenient shops. Across the road, there is a large shopping mall. Very convenient for tourists. The room is larger than most of the same level hotels in Japan. Clean and comfortable. Staff are young and friendly. Some of the front desk staff can speak English or Chinese Mandarin. Service is good.

Originally reserved for two nights, but due to hard bed and very little sleep, requested checkout after first night and was told 100% cancellation fee. So, no refund for checkout @10am; wouldn’t even offer 50% refund for a room they could easily sell that night...poor customer service in addition to hard beds. The floor would have been just as comfortable!
