Ok hotel. It is fairly clean. But was isn't in Japan. Room was OK, everything was OK, just not great. Thye had breakfast, guess what, it was OK, barely. I would go again if in town and it was the only thing we could find in the price range. I guess about 10 minute walk to the train station.
For the rate I paid, I expected quite a bit more. The room is designed in the 70s or 80s, and hasn’t been renovated since. It doesn’t smell good either. Front desk is inflexible on late checkout, even though I arrived late in the evening. I wanted to give this an average rating, but honestly it’s poor compared to most Japanese business hotels of a similar price. Don’t do it!
The hotel is only 2 min walk from the train and bus station and easy walking distance to the Zenkoji temple. Breakfast is included and it is all you need to fill you up for the day. Rooms are small but this is normal for Japan , and very clean and functional. Japanese hospitality is as always second to none!
My mate and I checked into the Nagano Plaza Hotel last night and had a great stay. A nice easy walk from the train station in fresh snow. Check in was easy and the staff were great. We even got breakfast thrown in. The hotel is in easy walk to a heap of restaurants and near a supermarket. Great price and comfortable. See you guys for our stop over in 7 days time.
Very enjoyable two night stay . The hotel is dated , however the rooms are well maintained, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The location is excellent for train and bus access to get around the city and area. Walk to many restaurants and shops.
