We stayed here for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was large and the bathroom was lovely with a large wet room and very well stocked consumables, including face masks and men's after shave balms etc.

The staff were very attentive and the room was spotless.

The hotel is well placed with everything in walking distance. There's a 7/11, lovely temple and subway station all within a 5 minute walk maximum, and Nishiki Market is only 10-15 minutes walk.

We would definitely stay here again.

This is a hotel I always stay at when I'm in Kyoto. It's very clean and comfortable. The building is quiet and not disturbing.
During this stay, the drinks in the refrigerator (orange juice, cola, sake, two types of beer, and yuzu liqueur) were free. Capsule-type coffee is always available. Of course, there are also bottled mineral water.
My husband prepared a tip under the pillow, but it was politely returned. It's a Japanese hotel.
Before COVID, check-in was at 13:00 and check-out was at 12:00, but now it has changed to check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 11:00. That's a shame.
It's also inconvenient that you can't light the lights in the room separately. Also, this time, thanks to the Kyoto Charm Rediscovery Project, I was able to stay at a very reasonable price, but of course there are cheaper accommodations.
But still, this accommodation is the best place to relax in Kyoto. Thank you for your help again this time!

This hotel was lovely with a western grandeur feel.
Rooms were large and we were lucky to be placed in a corner room with lovely views in 2 directions.
The location we found to be very good- able to walk a lot of places and a cheap taxi fare to others. There was many Lawsons or 7/11 within 2 mins walk as well.
There was several options for breakfast including a western buffet or traditional Japanese.
We would definitely recommend and stay here again. Many thanks.

I know this may sound harsh, but I'm not comparing it to luxury hotels.

The JAL Hotel Sapporo and the Okura Hotel Fukuoka were comfortable. I was planning to go to Osaka for a day trip during Golden Week, but this hotel was on sale and was very affordable for Golden Week, so I made a reservation at short notice. I could explore Kyoto the next day.

I had a room plan without a view, but I was on the 11th floor and could see the Five-story Pagoda of Kiyomizu and the Reizan Kannon, which was wonderful. However, the window was dirty, which is a shame. It wasn't like after the rain, but like a big black stain (mud?).

There was no confirmation or benefits for OneHarmony members at check-in, which were available at other hotels.
I was able to use the Ikyu Diamond member benefit of late check-out, but the explanation was like "Do you need it?", so I wonder if it was because of the sale price? It felt a bit bad, but it was just my perception...

Benefits may vary, but the nice feeling of the Okura Hotel Fukuoka was not there here.

The arrangements for the delivery to my home were also unfamiliar, and it took a long time to check everything, and I was worried about whether the size was even measured properly.

The bag that arrived the next day also had no cover. It was the first time I had sent a bag to my home from a hotel without a cover, so I was surprised. If there was a charge, I would have paid it if they had told me, but I would have preferred to have it delivered without a cover, they have no imagination!

The deciding factor was that I made a reservation for dinner at a casual dining restaurant, and although I didn't have any expectations beyond what the price would suggest, it took more than 30 minutes for the first dish to come out, even after I asked for it.
The non-alcoholic beer I ordered was either new or part-time, and the staff member asked me, "Was the drink regular beer?" I understand that it's understandable that they would forget, but it's not like they would ask "was it regular beer?" at a restaurant in JAL H, so disappointing!

Furthermore, even though it was understood that it was an Ikyu plan, the bill was different! My disappointments piled up.

I have several favorite hotels in Kyoto, so I realized once again that I shouldn't jump at a place just because of the price.

The location in Shijo Karasuma is great, but I had a much more comfortable stay at Prince Hotel in Takaragaike last fall and Brighton Hotel in Gosho Nishi this spring.

I can't really explain it, but it wasn't exactly comfortable, but... I probably won't be returning.

The bathroom, washroom, and toilet are all in one room, but the bathroom is very spacious and the washing area is separate and relaxing. The water is natural water pumped up from underground, so your bath won't feel dry. The twin rooms are a spacious 37m². It is also close to Kyoto Station, Shijo Station, and the Shijo Takakura bus stop, so it can be used as a base for sightseeing in the city, or even further afield to Nara and Osaka. This hotel is recommended as a regular lodging for Kyoto tourists.

I've stayed at this hotel many times, but there was construction going on during the summer, so I stayed at another hotel in the same One Harmony group. This one was also good, but it was a triple room with a shower booth, but it didn't compare to the bath with a washing area at JAL. The Japanese set meals for breakfast were both very good, but the hotel I stayed at in the summer charged an extra 1,000 yen for coffee after the meal, while JAL serves delicious coffee after the meal that rivals any coffee shop. It's hard to choose between the staff's service and location, but on those two points, JAL won. This time, I booked early, so it was cheaper, and with a points exchange campaign, I was able to stay for another 10,000 yen cheaper. I once again felt that JAL is a reliable choice.

The hotel is located near the main road, a 3-minute walk away.
At the same time, around it in the small streets there are many high-quality and authentic restaurants that are highly recommended to sit in.
The hotel is close to the Grand Market, a 12-minute walk away.
The hotel is not new but well maintained.
The rooms are large and spacious and very quiet. You don't hear any noise either from outside or from the corridors.
We got a room with 2 separate beds, please note if this is important to you - the beds cannot be joined.
The TV is small if that matters.
There is an espresso machine in the room and capsules are filled every day, also every day water bottles are put as many as the number of helens in the room.
There is also an electric kettle for boiling water. A cell or coffee should be brought to those who drink.
The hotel service is excellent in terms of cleanliness, speed of treatment and changing of towels or anything else.
It is highly recommended.

Stayed in room 814. Twin beds are quite wide and wide respectively. It's like having two double beds.
The guests are conscientious but first-come, first-served for 500 yen parking.
We were told there was a family member with a heart condition and parking was essential.
I don't watch a lot of TV, although it's quite small.
For breakfast, we ordered an omelet and had a good menu including pumpkin soup.
I made a Reservation in July with a membership discount, but it was a disaster because the online Reservation made by another company on the day was cheaper.

This is our regular place in Kyoto. You can relax in the bath with a washing area. The comfortable Airweave bed. We stayed in the Higashiyama triple room with our family of three, and our favorite view was the gentle ridge of Higashiyama and the view of Higashiyama, including Reizan Kannon. The room was spacious at 48 square meters, with three regular beds so everyone could sleep comfortably, and the Airweave beds were extremely comfortable. There was a fountain in the lobby, and it was stylish, and since it wasn't a very large hotel, it felt homey. The staff were also very friendly. And the Japanese food in the morning was the best. It was served as a set meal, and everything was delicious. First of all, they served us warm plum kombucha tea before the meal. After the meal, they served us delicious coffee that rivaled any coffee specialty store, accompanied by chocolate gluten. We've stayed in many places, not just Kyoto, but I've never had better coffee in a hotel than this one. All three of us in the family are civil servants, and we basically can't take time off on weekdays except during summer vacation and the New Year holidays, so we stayed on the weekends for one night. I often stay here not for sightseeing but for relaxation. I had a good night's sleep at this hotel on Saturday night and was refreshed after eating a delicious breakfast. Last summer, this hotel was under construction so I cheated on it with the Okura, but the room size, the shower booth instead of a washroom, the shower head was loose and fell while I was using it and almost hit my head, it was ideal, the breakfast is just as delicious as here, but if you ask me which one I prefer, I'll give the win to JAL. And coffee was an additional 1,000 yen, so I didn't drink it. At the Granvia and the Brighton. I also stayed at the Westin, but considering breakfast, coffee, bath with washroom, etc., JAL is the best. Brighton also has a bath with washroom, the room is spacious, the staff are all nice, and the Japanese breakfast is delicious, but I don't think I got coffee. Anyway, nowhere can compare to JAL's Japanese breakfast with delicious coffee. The Japanese restaurant is laid out in a calm manner and the staff are very nice. The table arrangement at Brighton seemed a little unsettling.

I was invited to Kamigamo Shrine to celebrate Shichigosan, and stayed here for the first time. I was planning to visit by car, so I decided to make a reservation because the hotel had a parking lot and was close to the restaurant where the meal was to be held.
First of all, the parking lot. It was flat underground, so it was convenient to take luggage in and out regardless of the weather. You can't do this with a mechanical parking lot. Next, the location. I was able to stroll to the restaurant. I was grateful.
The pleasant surprise was the breakfast. I always decide to have a Japanese breakfast (where I can eat calmly) when I stay at a hotel, but this time I had many opportunities to eat Japanese food and was hungry for raw vegetables, so I had a buffet. Not only were there a lot of dishes, but each one was fresh and the taste and cooking were delicious. Thank you for the meal. I also went shopping to Shijo-dori, which was about 3 minutes away, and we had a fun walk to Shijo Ohashi Bridge, had lunch, returned to the hotel, got our parking ticket stamped, and headed home.
Overcoming the coronavirus pandemic? I had often had doubts about the cleaning and staff response at the hotel where I had stayed every year, so I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you for letting me stay with you and express my gratitude for the celebration. Last but not least, I would like to thank the woman at the front desk who was in training for her help. Her attitude towards work is refreshing and I am grateful.
