This hotel is located three subway stations away from JR Sapporo station (Namboku Line - Nakajimakoen, exit 1) and only about two minutes walk to the subway. Beside the lobby of the hotel, there is a Lawson. From the hotel to the Susukino station, there are a lot of restaurants, pubs and shops within walking distance. So overall is quite convenient. I booked a superior room but got upgraded to deluxe due to my elite status. The welcome gift is a pack of mini macaroons and a postcard. The welcome drink is selected during check-in and given directly. For silver member and above, there is a bottomless coffee available at the front desk. There are coin laundry available, 300 yen per wash with detergent auto-added, and 100 yen per 30 mins drying. Buffet breakfast is temporarily not available due to COVID, but two different breakfast set menu is available: Japanese and American. The hotel is just reopened few days before I check-in and there are readapting the new normal but as expected from fine Japanese hospitality, there are doing great! Overall, I am happy with my stay here.…
This is an Ibis, in the heart of Sapporo. There is nothing room with the rooms of this hotel, apart from worn and stained furniture (see picture). You wonder what happened there? Interesting bacterial culture, surely. The gym is actually very good, although you have to walk through the lobby to get to it, which is not so nice. But here is my gripe, apart from the disgusting stains on the furniture: It's now in the middle of the corona virus. Call me pathetic, but I actually don't particularly want to go out too much. So I call reception and ask if they could very kindly help me order a pizza. 'No.' is the short answer. 'What? Excuse me?' 'It is against our policy.' 'What? I am forbidden to order a pizza?' 'No. But we cannot order it for you.' 'You can't help me order a pizza? I don't speak Japanese, and I just tried 3 different places I found on Google, but they don't speak English. So can't you help me order it?' 'No. It is against our policy. You have to order it yourself.' Etc etc etc. What is WRONG with these people? Why do some people in the 'service' industry act with such blatant disregard for any service or hospitality? What harm could it possibly do for this front desk manager to help a customer (probably his ONLY customer in these hard times) order a darned pizza? So I called a Japanese friend who ordered the pizza for me. Oh well, hey-ho. Stay here if you like disgustingly stained furniture and zero service!…
It was a great experience my stay in Ibis Style Sapporo, staff was nice and efficient. The best of Japanese hospitality in a great location, nearby Susukino area with nice restaurants and places to visit. I totally recommend.
Rooms were quite spacious, and the hotel is within walking distance of Nakajima Koen(where my kids had a little fun with snow at this quiet park), not much to complain about, theres even a Hokkaido White Liner that stops at this hotel if you are heading to Niseko thereafter. Can tell this can be quite a popular choice of hotel as there was one morning in which the elevators were all crowded, probably because there was a big group of tour bus that just arrived the night before.
Location is very good (very near to subway), and staffs is also very nice -- especially Miss Noriko U. (Reservation Team). A titan thank to her for helping amend my booking period during the hotel high occupancy.
三人部屋は広くて綺麗。朝食も品が多かった。ウェルカムドリンクはサッポロビールも選択可。メルキュールホテルにも滞在したがイビススタイルズの方がオススメです。 Stayed in both ibis Styles Sapporo and Mercure Sapporo and I have to say that if I return I will choose ibis Styles, although Mercure has upgraded me to the best room in their hotel. For comparison, the room in ibis Styles Sapporo was a lot more spacious. I booked a triple room and it was spacious enough for three adults to stay comfortably in the room, with all luggage open. The breakfast choices were better than Mercure. And the croissants were so crispy! For gold member, welcome drinks were presented when check in, and late check out was offered. For the location, it's not Susukino like the Mercure, but think about the room and the breakfast...I still choose this hotel. It's about 620-670 yen for a taxi ride to Susukino. …
This hotel was quite disappointing. In truth, this was my first visit to Sapporo I probably would have been fine with the stay, but it isn't... regret staying here. To start off with the positive... room size was a bit on the larger size so I liked that. This hotel seems to cater to foreigners completely... the positive to that was that the staff spoke excellent English. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. A lot of variety; however, the food quality just sucked. You'll find that Hokkaido quickly spoils you with food and the pride everyone has that Hokkaido is the best. The Ibis Styles breakfast was not good... it's as if they are trying to save money on ingredients or something. Skip the breakfast and you'll be fine, but traveling around Hokkaido means experiencing good breakfast at hotels. I would stay away from this hotel... you can find better.…
Our family room with 1 "stacking bed" was very spacious (for Japan) and clean, but it needs to be renovated. For example, the bathroom sink was cracked. Their buffet breakfast was okay; a few dishes were changed during our four day stay. Lawsons was on the ground floor. The hotel was two short blocks from the Nakajima Koen subway station entrance with the elevator (for bags), though it's a fairly easy walk to Susukino where there are more restaurants and shops. The airport bus stop is just a few meters away, which was convenient for our early flight.
First when we checked in , the staff were so friendly & helpful to give the information for solving our problem caused of one luggage lost at the airport & finally we could get it at the fourth day of our visit. I love this Hotel expecially the rooms were so big & very enough for family , clean , comfortable bed , all amanities were complete. Location was so nice , Lawsons's on the ground floor, subway station Nakajima Koen's just walk 3 mins , and the special location's the Airport Bus Station very closed so make easier to get to the Airport. We stay for 9 nights and very enjoy going around Hokkaido by JR Train. Thank you so much Ibis Style ! We ll stay again when visiting Sapporo!
The Ibis Styles is a somewhat dated hotel with fairly large rooms and conveniently located minutes walk away from restaurants and shopping down the mainroad. It is virtually a minute walk to Nakajima koen subway station which is next to a big park and a few stops to Sapporo station where shopping and eating is in abundance including Daimaru. From Ibis you can also easily walk to the underground city with stacks & stacks of shopping and eating that seem to go on and on for miles. Best part of Ibis for me was the internal access to a Lawsons convenience store. There is a new gym of reasonably good size and a tiny sized laundry with 3 machines of each washer and dryer. There is inhouse eating and drinking available though I never frequented. Not sure about a pool as it was snowing outside on most days I visited. There is a paid shuttle service to and from the hotel and new Chitose airport. Now the room is not bad despite being somewhat dated and although the bathroom is also dated with a tub it is a good size. Tipsy: bring your own international plugs as there are no usb stations available and there isn't a safe to lock up valuables either. A coffee machine and pods are available as is a kettle but I found the housekeeping did not wash the used cups which were left dirty on the counter tops everytime I came back to my room (Hey! what the?). And yes I did ring reception about this. Would I stay there again?...yes! Nothing from my 4 night experience deters me from that though I be tempted first to look at the nearby competition of which there are a few. BTW I didn't find it online, it was recommended to me. Good luck!…
