The highlight of this hotel was the daily breakfast that gets delivered to your doorstep. They leave it out at your door (so you won’t get disturbed if you are sleeping) and you put the whole tray back outside when you’re done eating. They serve soup with toasts, coffee and cute packs of fruit juice. The soups were absolutely delightful - it comes with a flyer everyday explaining all the locally sourced items put in the soup. It was SO YUMMY! Wish they could share the recipe. Soups are kept in thermo flasks. Room has a toaster too so you can toast your baguette. The room design was okay-ish. It’s a lodge, camping theme. The room is super dim and orangey - I kept bumping into furnitures cos it was too dim. Comfy shower and very comfy bed. Toilet and bath room are separated. So it’s great for couples - if one wants to poop, the other can shower without having to bear the excrement smell! We drove a car, the parking lot is right beside the reception at L1 - very convenient.

The hotel itself is good, and it’s in a great location. However, the staff is incredibly rude. It seems like the accommodations are just for show. The lobby fireplace isn’t meant for actual warming and gathering and the staff make it clear. Our family gathered to warm after exploring the Snow Festival, only to have the receptionist purposely lock the front doors open so we would freeze and move. This was just one of several instances of poor customer service. Customer service is nonexistent at this hotel. It’s unfortunate because it has the potential to be a wonderful hotel.

Dear ErikaBTraveling , Thank you very much for staying at Unwind Hotel&Bar. I'm really surprised that is how you felt at this moment. Opening the doors had absolutely no rude intentions. In order for the fireplace to not smoke up the entire room, doors need to be opened for a short time. As soon as the fire pit is warm and that the smoke starts to rise through the chimney, we close the doors. It is sometimes -6 degrees Celsius outside, believe that we also wish these doors closed as soon as possible. But this is something we have to do everyday in order to keep the fireplace warm for everyone. We hope for your understanding.

A warm and lovely hotel Family travellers with two big kids around 10 Length of stay: 7 days Location: around 6 minutes from Exit 2, Nakajima Koen station. If you have luggage, exit from Exit 1, as there is an elevator. Room: Family room with bunk bed for two kids. Relatively big in comparison with other hotels in Japan. Breakfast: They will deliver the breakfast to your room, consisting of bread, butter, packs of juice, and the soup of the day. Really loved the delicious soup; we still miss it to this day. Staff and service: Young and energetic, lovely and helpful. Some of the staff are fluent in English, which makes it easier for international travellers.

The location is great, 3 minutes walk from a subway station, 5 minutes subway ride to Susukino or 10 minutes to Sapporo station. Staff speaks good English, the service was helpful and professional. Lots of accessories in the room, including free smartfone you can use during your stay (even outside of the hotel). The room was sparkling clean and very cozy. Every room has its own router, so wifi signal was excellent. Really one of the best hotels we've been in.

Spent two nights in this hotel booked on avios points. Good location a short walk from Nakajimakoen subway station and about a 10 mins walk from the happening Susukhino district. Nice quiet location and decent bar next door (didn't try the hotel bar itself as it wasn't showing the rugby). If you go to the bar next door watch your bill. Ours was inaccurate. Comfortable room with two small double beds, multi-function toilet room with separate room for bath/shower/basin. Coffee and tea facilities. Not spacious but not bad sized rooms for Japan. Beds very comfortable, shower decent and WiFi worked well. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Good English spoken. Room comes with free smart phone with internet connectivity which is very useful when you are out and about. My only suggestion would be to include Google translate on the default apps. Breakfast is served on a tray for consumption in your room. They don't knock and leave breakfast outside at the time agreed on check-in. Breakfast comprises very tasty bread and superb soup. The minestrone soup on the 2nd morning was right up there with the best I've ever had. No idea what it costs but I highly recommend this hotel.

A young and chic hotel in the middle of the bigger hotels nearby but you would be surprised with their even bigger smile and friendly service. You will be attended casually but attentive by the front office associates (kudos to the attractive female staff who can converse in fluent English and to the American guy working at Unwind Sapporo), for the hotel check-in and I like the way how it went so well... Welcome drink will be served with iced lemon drink or iced coffee. Keys to the room were given and we got a family room of 2 rooms at floor 7 & 8 which is very nice indeed. 4 beds and with separated toilet and bathroom, a fridge, safe, and with lots of sockets to charge mobile phone battery and a mini kitchen plus a wardrobe and sofa with coffee table. Handy mobile phone for usage, and a smart TV. Fit perfectly. Complimentary bed and breakfast style, with a really nice miso soup (very similar like Hong Kong style Borscht soup), with option to add mixed chili and basil. Served with bread and a good coffee. Kids comes with packed orange/apple juice. Complimentary wine for hotel guests from 5pm to 6.30pm at the rooftop (10th floor). Lawson, local store and bar are quite near walking distance, plus number of cafe and local restaurants nearby. Hotel parking is available for guest, for a fee. Overall, it is really a nice hotel with no flaws, and I dont mind to come back again. Cheers!

A nice, relatively small hotel build around an American lodge concept, which means wood and fireplaces. It is quite cozy, but also a little compact, so not much space really. However the rooms are OK in size, clean and the bed comfortable. There is a very nice rooftop terrace and bar worth visiting in the summer time. Breakfast is served as small picnic baskets delivered to your room at an agreed time. Nice idea, but for people not too keen on soup in the morning, it is a bit too small. Fine service. Staff is helpful and speak English fairly well.

This hotel was about a 30 minute walk from Sapporo train station and I while I didn’t love walking through a neighborhood filled with love hotels in the dark, I grew to appreciate this location. There are several food neighborhoods within walking distance - most notably ramen row. All the employees we interacted with were very conversant in English, which is sometimes hard to find in Japan. They were also friendly and helpful. We got a drink upon our arrival, although we missed the happy hour tasting on the room. Before we came to this hotel, we stayed at several others which included breakfast buffet. I appreciated that this hotel didn’t have that, as it made the stay cheaper and allowed for us to sample the local cuisine without feeling like we were wasting a “free” meal. Instead, they offered a light breakfast which included a juice box, hearty homemade soup, and some bread. It was enough to hold us over for a real breakfast out once establishments opened.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were really friendly and the room was comfortable, they also provided us with free PJs for our stay. The room was a bit small so there's not much privacy when someones in the toilet room. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, different soup everyday with bread. The location was pretty good as well, just 10-15 mins to the downtown area or the subway station is also nearby.
