Nice establishment that offers traditional rooms with tatami mats. Room is generally clean but requires an upgrade - lights are quite dim in genkan and shower areas. They have a small corner for outdoor foot bath/onsen which is quite nice. Food offered is not fantastic but given this place is found in the mountains, what more could one ask for, right?

Our Tour Leader has touted that this is the best Hotel throughout our 7-nights stay tour here in Hokkaido! We reached at 6pm and was just in time for dinner. Surprisingly modern and beautiful inside setting compared to the Hotel building front. Quite an impressive dining area that is spacious and offers a generous spread of both Japanese & International cuisine. Everything vying for limited space in out stomach! The 3-star Jozankei Hotel Sapporo provides quick access to Jozankei Hot Spring. This hotel is located in a touristic area of Sapporo. The rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and while amenities include nice touches include slippers, free toiletries and bath sheets. Only dislike; the TV screen is the smallest we have came across for a while.. It was tatami room and we made our own bed, surprisingly they have a few staff moving around to ask if we need help on setting the bed! More memorable is the Onsen, superb and body relaxing! Had a good session at night… rich minerals to nourish our skin. There was a bonus for us – there is a Jozankei night illumination running these 2 weeks and we got to view it, a 15-mins walk into the town central. Really a visual treat for us all. Fully enjoyed our stay here.

An unassuming hotel with lovely nature surrounding. Woke up with a view of snow covered trees and roofs. Full of christmassy feel. Marvellous. Hotel food was delightful and delicious. Nice place to spend time with family and loved ones.

We stayed for only a night as we were on packaged tour. It was a great experience sleeping on a tatami. The staff are generally polite and helpful, typical of most Japanese. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and were impressed with the taste and variety of food. The onsen was also great, as well as the foot bath. Guests can wear the yukata to everywhere in the hotel.

Stayed one night at Jyzankei Milione hotel. Room is Tatami style with male-female separate onsen. Nice hot dip after a long cold day. Nice breakfast spread with wide variety of Japanese cuisine, bread, salad and fruits.

The subject says it all. You will be spoilt for choices during dinner and the onsen is big enough. The tatami room is really big and again, I like it when they separate the toilet bowl from the other toilet amenities. The overall experience is great.

Came here with the bus and Onsen package in Nov. We paid ¥1800pp for the ride and it was hassle free. Took the bus from Susukino bus stop and dropped off right in front of the Information centre in Jozankei. Walked 2 mins and we were already in Milione. Then we spent 1 hr at the onsen which was the highlight of the hotel. The hotel looked a bit dated but the onsen is still relatively clean. They had all the onsen pools and even a good outdoor bath. Then there is the sauna which you can enjoy. A good tip is to arrive here on a weekday and enjoy the onsen around noon to 3pm. This is when the hotel guests are not checked in yet and the tourist buses have not arrived in droves. In summary, I would recommend this place for onsen as we searched the rest of the packaged onsen, and this one looks the best.

We stayed as part of a tour package and enjoyed the 8 course kaiseki dinner served by the hotel. Staff were friendly and polite and even waved us off while we left. While common areas of the hotel were upkept in good condition, the traditional Japanese style rooms we were assigned to felt quite dated and the washroom was small. Unfortunately for us we found a few large insects in our room but managed to chase it away.

We booked a Japanese style room for our family of six. Room size is large and spacious. But there is a strong smell of cigarettes. Do ask for air purifier to clean the air though the smell is still there. The buffet breakfast and dinner are included in our stay, although we have to pay a separate charge for my six year old's meals. There is good variety of food but not fantastic.

The hotel is located right across the Jozankei bus stop. Rooms are spacious and clean as expected of Japanese hotels. Spa baths are also pleasant. I took up the half board package and felt that it wasn't a good value for money as dinner buffet wasn't that great. You'd need to pay for juice and other beverages. Only water, tea and coffee is included. A better option would be to eat at restaurants near the hotel. I love the Matsuo Genghis Khan located barely 300 metres from the hotel.
