After travelling in Yunnan for 12days, Ji Hotel is definitely the best hotel to end our trip in Kunming. Other than conveniently located, the hotel amenities, staff service are simply great. Our 4 rooms (twin and double bed) are clean and comfortable. Water heater, shower pressure and room air conditioning are all working well. As it is winter time, we appreciate the warm room (aircon can be adjusted for cold or warm air). My friend left her baggage in the taxi and the staff went all way to help us contact the relevant department and driver to arrange for it to send back. The Chinese name of this hotel is 全季昆明正义坊酒店. The staff there made every effort and successfully accommodated me after I got separated from my guide. The (my) language barrier was skillfully handled and I found that I could trust they treated me well. Centrally located so I could let people know where to find me.
We stayed here 3 nights. We originally wanted to book online but the hotel staff convinced us not to (membership, perks, savings, blah, blah, blah). It was all very confusing - we were tired and just decided to stay. It cost about $95 CDN with two breakfasts. The staff was nice. No English. The room was clean, but kinda small compared to other places we’ve stayed. I wouldn’t rush back. It’s right beside humdinger which is a big plus.
Good location, very clean place, near food court so we can easly to found some food, good services, near atraction place like green lake, and also easy to find the location, overall is good, i will be back later :)
The hotel is clean, appears recently renovated, everything modern and works well. The location is walking distance to shopping streets ancient and modern. Easy to get there from airport, especially now there is a metro (subway) connection from airport that probably passes within walking distance. That will set you back 6RMB. There is a large "Chinatown" gate where zhengyi road meets Remnin Road. The Confucius Temple nearby is worth a walk through, and the iconic Green Lake is nearby. Good value at around 250RMB. No horrorshows with staff. It is useful to have a translate app on your phone when in China
