This hotel has the best location for getting around Kunming. There's the subway right around the corner, and the bus stop to the railway station is 2 minutes away. I recommend taking bus 91 and 44 all the way to the Yunnan Minorities Village, which is one of the most interesting places in China, full of culture and not crowded as other tourist attractions. However, there was no Wi-Fi in the room, and the one in the lobby was hardly working after 10pm. The room was old and the bathroom lacked privacy, although I'd say in general it was pretty clean. I wouldn't stay longer than one night here though!
Didnt realise that Kunming was such an unattractive town but this hotel made it even worse. bathrooms are glass with no privacy but a very mouldy shower curtain. walls, bed heads and floor were putrid. overall not a pleasant experience. staff dont speak English and ignore you. I would not have stayed at this place if i was travellibg solo but i was part if a tour so no choice. Im sure there are better places. a fellow traveller stayed in a guest house which apparently was much better.
Poor housekeeping, unresponsive staff, bathroom with glass all-over without shower curtain! Weird. Not sound-proof window or door, can hear noises from the street or outside the room. Overall, not worth it. There are a few more hotels along the road that are probably more worth it.
