What is there to say? Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, clean and spacious rooms, good facilities. The breakfast buffet was far better than expected. Perfectly located centrally in Kunming- we would come again!
Unique finding of a small boutique hotel in a centrally located buzzing Kunming city. A nice change from previous lodging experiences with most large hotels hence Cachet indeed a hidden gem when comes to small luxury enjoyment. Accorded an upgrade to the suite which certainly a well appreciative gesture and this sum up the overall experience. A quick checked in by a well English speaking GSA, very pleasant and it's certainly an unusual experience here in China especially with small hotel operation. The suite and it's amenities set up was sufficient with modern contemporary designs and room features. A well thought of free mini bar enjoyment with snacks, imported reds and soft beverages in the chiller, was a good evening start up before our dinner at their famed Chef David Laris's Porterhouse Restaurant. Breakfast buffet with small a la carte choice was substantial to keep the morning going. Overall stay was delightful with very comfortable experience and looking forward to return to this hidden gem in Kunming.…
Posh hotel with super modern amenities, in the heart of Kunming. Very comfortable room & chic design, the best at its rate. When I came the weather was quite cold that I had to set the room to warm temperature. It's comfy & not stuffy at all, very pleasant feel. Few good restaurants just stone throw distance such as Cantonese & Paulaner Haus.
It's a nice boutique hotel, breakfast is good. Cleanliness not so good. We found a used condom in the shower area. The room's sound proof was so bad that we can hear people talking and shouting during night time, waking up by the noise. Summary, I rate this hotel 60/100.
This boutique hotel is only a 25-minute drive from Kunming Airport. Together with highway tax, the cab fare is almost 100 RMB. We alighted in front of a big signage with the hotel's name. However, the building next to the signage is not the hotel. We walked about 8m to behind of this building and found ourselves in front of a neat glassy building similar to the one in front. We were allowed to check in at around 11.00 am. The male staff was helpful, English speaking and gave us a good advice to take breakfast at the hotel cafeteria. The breakfast was just 100 RMB for two. It was nice of him to give us this advice as it turned out to be our right choice. The breakfast spread was not wide but it was substantial for us and the food was nice and of good quality and standard. The room was neat and clean, and with a big toilet. The hotel is near many eateries and once out of hotel, after a short walk we were in front of a new mall, Joy City, that have familiar stores like The Alley, Charles and Keith, Adidas, and stores to be opened soon, Decathlon and Uniqlo. Another older mall, under renovation with some stores and Carrefour still opened for business. This boutique is a nice place to stay in in Kunming. Definitely will come back for a comfortable stay if ever I visit Kunming again.…
