Staff were very helpful. They also speak english. The room was very clean and pleasantly designed 😃 Nice atmosphere. There are a lot of Chinese travelers there. Most of the food in the bar was very good.
Be careful with the tours you take. The staff is not clear at all with the details of the tours compared to the flyers. Book your tours some where else. Because in the end you will en up paying a lot for 1/2 of what they offer. And the staff wont even care to give you any solutions
we booked for 5 nights a „Standard 2 Bed Room“. It turned out, that it was a very luxery big room, quiet, with big windows, good Shower and toilet, good Wifi. A good Restaurant serves westerly and chinese Food, also many different Breakfasts. There are also a lot of western Traveller to meet, to get from them good tips for a travelling in China. The Hostel is good connected to the subway (also for airport) and the townbuses (Bus 64 goes to the Railway Station). Nearby is a little parc where the locals are singing, dancing or playing cards and chess. The reception speaks english and helps a lot with explaining and writing places, you are looking for, on papers in chinese, to show to locals. Lili, was amazing, she help us to get a telephon Pre Paid card, to find a hairdresser (hers) and to collect easily on the train station our several tickets, which we had before booked in the Internet by trip.com. The “Beginning travelling first time” in China, is not so easy, but she made the start easier. …
Nice hostel with good vibes, not crowded, facilities are clean. They have a nice cafe with English menu but also a nice restaurant across them which serves large bowls of noodle soup with many toppings for 10 Yuan. Good ping pong table and pool table, laundry facilities, comfortable beds. Would recommend it. They don’t offer vpn when I visited though but I have my own.
After a long, almost 5-hour-long way to this place from the outskirts of Kunming I was so happy to get there and relax a bit. The staff girls were very helpful and extremely polite - they even apologized for me that I had to go to the 4th floor with my big suitcase. I think there was nothing to be sorry, a bit of physical training is never a bad thing. Atmosphere was nice and cozy on the first floor. My room was clean and unfortunately without a window. To offset the absense of sunlight one could leave the room and sit on a terrace lovely sorrounded by lots of plants. However, there was one thing that was spoiling that resting experience completely. Every ten seconds or so a loud and unpleasant ultrasound would cut through the air. I have no idea what was that - maybe it was the fire alarm, which says that system is working normally. Or maybe it was aimed to scare some animals like insects or even bigger ones like mouses. Whatever it was, it would force me (and obviously others, because there were no people resting on the terrace) to go to the first floor and sit there. From the first floor one couldn't hear that weird sound and was able to relax. The food, the cafe, washing machines and other facilities were quite good.…
