Hello and welcome. The idea behind the creation of Patampa B&B came from a feeling, being an anonymous person, lost in a foreign city or country, staying in a comfortable but impersonal place. In order to change this feeling, I bought an old Panamanian house, and try to create the right spirit. Patampa B&B is built on a 2000 m2 lot, in a green area. All rooms are different, only comfort is identical. I try to offer an individual and specific approach to each guest. Advise, help, or just a nice talk. Custom made furniture, balneotherapy shower, wheelchair accessible, 2 rooms specially equipped for disabled guests, pool with salt sanitation, bar next to the pool, triple tap water filtration with UV sanitation, pet friendly , surrounded by nature, all of this, 1 mile away from the city center and the bus terminal. The airport is 4 miles out. We will be please to welcome you in french, my mother tongue, auf Deutsch, en Espanol, or English. Bye and see you soon. Pascal

When walking onto the property of Patampa, you immediately feel comfortable and relaxed. The beautiful pool is very inviting and refreshing, with plenty of areas to sit and chill. The room was amazing with all modern amenities that you could wish for: Very comfortable bed with high-quality linens, in-room safe, cold A/C, and a beautiful bathroom/shower with plenty of water pressure and hot water. My room also had a nice covered patio with comfortable outdoor furniture. The entire place was well designed and built with higher than average standards. Pascal is a great and thoughtful host...not to mention an amazing chef! If you are looking for a great place to stay without breaking the bank, then this is your place...it's worth every penny. Quality throughout from the decor/landscaping to the coffee in your mug...it was a perfect 4-night stay, and I will definitely be back the next time that I am in David.

This B&B is a perfect stopover place for travellers just passing through the area, and it's convenient to the city as well. The neighbourhood has huge trees, a river flowing by, lots of bird life and butterflies. The place itself is well maintained, spacious and looks great. It was a bit noisy around the pool in the afternoon - lots of kids. The breakfast comes with good coffee, a selection of breads, cheese, yogurt, meats and fruits, all tasty. The proprietor is friendly and helpful. There's no fridge in the room, but there's one in the common area with inexpensive drinks to buy. The place is a bit pricier than some, but worth it.

We go to David from time to time for shopping or other business. So happy to have found this B&B option so we don’t have to suffer a generic hotel in the city center. Pascal has created a beautiful, restful inn. Evenings in the swimming pool, mornings walking along the David River, which is across the street from Patampa. The breakfast was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the chewy, tasty homemade bread and French pressed coffee. We are looking forward to another “business” trip to David in the near future.

We stayed here in July 2021 during our exploration of Panama as a place to live. This isn't your ordinary hotel, and is as diverse as Panama. Pascal and Maya went out of their way to accommodate us, and heard stories from others of the same level of accommodation. For us, Pascal made us coffee earlier than the stated hours since we were such early risers. He asked us every morning what we wanted for breakfast, and it was always delicious with more than we could eat. This is a peaceful place, but both Pascal and Maya were there for helpful advise, or a chat. We eventually moved to Panama, and recently ran into them at the Boquete market, and were told to stop by for a visit next time in David. This is how you feel when you stay there, like friends of the family 👪 ❤️. Ps. I thought I wrote this review months ago, but I have recommended many times.

We spent 5 nights at this great great place. Pascal and his staff work hard to ensure everyone has a wonderful stay. We upgraded to a great casita with a comfortable porch with ceiling fan. Pascal is a former chef from a very prestigious European hotel. His breakfasts are excellent. The pool is clean and very enjoyable. Although lunch and dinner are not available, it is easy to get food delivered with the PedidosYa app. The only downside is that it isn’t easily walkable to other attractions, but we walked to Parque Miguel de Cervantes once. However, taxis are easily available. Guests here are friendly and we had a good time hanging out and chatting. There are some great dogs here too. Enjoy!

I stayed in the room to the left by the pool. Lovely and good size, even though it's the smallest they have. Nice bathroom with shower too. Clean and nice saline pool, excellent breakfast can be ordered. Small refrigerator stocked with drinks in the courtyard. Multiple lovely places to sit outside and watch the birds and many flowers. GREAT place to stay in David before or after a flight or on business. Pascal speaks English, French, German and Spanish!

My husband and I recently spent the night in David while en route to Panama City, and we were lucky enough to have discovered Patampa B&B. Patampa really is a little hidden oasis. It's so close to downtown and to the airport and yet it's tucked away and private. Pascale was a perfect host and made my husband and I feel right at home. Additionally, all of the renovations he did to the property are such great quality - Our room as well as all of the common areas for guests were so lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too! I had a latte that I am still thinking about, and the spread of fruit, bread, cheese, yogurt, etc was impressive. Eggs, etc were also available upon request. Anyone who finds him or herself in David needs to stay here!

Patampa B&B is a beautiful oasis. Every detail is well thought out to make your stay perfect. Comfortable bed, amazing breakfast, privacy! Paskal and Myra were our favorite hosts ever!! We had some great conversations. He even set up travel to Bocas del Toro with the perfect driver and guide, Jhon. (Tell Jhon, "thanks again!") I would not stay anywhere else if traveling to David again.

Needing to break our road trip between Costa Rica and Valle Anton (Panama), our overnight stay at Patampa was a serendipitous discovery. Away from the usual bland chain hotels, or dodgy motels around David city, this B&B was perfect. Very close to the Panamerican but surrounded by forest trees in a quiet neighbourhood, Pascal has created an oasis for either the passing-through traveller like us, or visitors needing a base.
Pascal helped us order in food as we were too tired to trek out again to a restaurant and it was delightful to chat with him about our shared Central American experience (we live in Costa Rica).
Breakfast was delicious (Pascal was a chef in a former life!), home-baked bread, cheese, cold-cuts, eggs to order, serious coffee machine ...
Again, we highly recommend Patampa.
