It is an interesting place. I would not classify as hostel or hotel but rather as a house that admits guests. It is convenient if you are traveling with bus and you want to spend the night in David (walking distance from bus station). There are plenty of animals around. Backyard with pool table and hammocks. Residential area - not too bad at night...

House is very quiet, 10 min by foot of bus terminal, close to the stores and market.
The owner has cute cats and dogs. She can give a lot of information: how to rent the car, where to take an excursion, how to go on somewhere to your own (by bus, taxi); A lot of places in David (not in Boquete): waterfalls, rivers, canyons, mountains.

Hostel run by a friendly Canadian lady and her son. The place is kept tidy and there is a well-equipped kitchen you can use. Beds are comfortable and have clean sheets.

It is in a residential area, but this does not mean, it is quiet. Dogs were barking in and next to the house until 00:30 AM. After the roosters (6:00 AM), at 7:30 AM the neighbours started demolishing things? Anyway an enormous noise.

The price is 10% more than they advertize (read small print): 13.20 USD for a bunk bed in a six-bed room. No breakfast included. Significantly more than in Panama city, nearby Boquete or San José for similar accommodation.

Last but not least the landlady locks all doors when she leaves the building. I could not get out (windows are also barred). At first I thought she had gone out to get something in a shop nearby, but as time passed she did not return. In vain I started to shout for help to people walking on the street. Eventually (one hour later) the lady turned up with her keys. She said she had been nearby and did not hear me shout. I never had this experience in my life.

I never saw another one like you. Honestly, you were a terrible experience for me. On the evening, comments from other guest are that you are either on drugs or have a serious health problem; going to get a glass in the kitchen you twisted your body as with fear that anybody or a wall could touch you. I never left the property. Everybody left on the morning except you. You got up at 11am and found me in the hammock on the back terrace at 10 feet from the back door with two dogs beside me and one inside right a few inches beside you. You were so quiet, not a dog moves a hair. Right away, as I was opening the door, you started yelling, acting like a claustrophobic or as someone was attacking you. You passed beside me twisting your body as I was opening the door and ran away. Then the dogs ran away scared and I was too. I suggest you get some help for whatever you have and also avoid passing comments as you are not living in the same reality then others. Nobody ever hurt you, locked you in or offended you. Please, live reality and speak facts.

I’m on my second year of solo travelling and visited hundreds of hostels. This place did not feel like one. It felt like coming to a friend s house. The host, who lives in the house with the guests, cannot do more to help and to make your stay enjoyable.
It was wonderful to get out of the impersonal vibe of most hostels and be in a place which felt like a home.
There are friendly dogs and cats living in the premises so if you are an animal lover, you will enjoy it way more.
This was my second visit and for sure not the last.

Great hostel. It's clean, nice interior, kitchen's good, and the setting is peaceful. There are pets but no hair to contend with as they are always chilling on the back patio. Taxi may try to take you to another hostel (they get a $1 for that), but the drivers are nice and they will proudly take you to Pacasa if you want. David is a cool town to explore that seems to always know the perfect temperature to serve a Balboa. Cheers

We were held hostage by the owner of the hostel due to the fact that my friend had been drugged and vomited on the front tile. The landlady wanted more money for cleaning it up and would not allow me to clean it myself. She wouldn't let my friend inside the house (or to leave) to shower and get cleaned up. She made my friend lie on the cold tile locked inside the gate but outside the house. The landlady continually cursed in my face and shoved me away from the door every time I tried to get in. We were in distress for 3 hours from 3 AM to 6 AM. I ended up getting a hold of my Panamanian friend who drove over and helped to call the local police (who managed to get us out) and took us back to his house. The neighbor lady came over to the gate while I was locked inside and told me that the hostel owner has a history of such treatment of quests, has stolen passports and bikes in the past, and has a drug problem. The hostel itself was not clean and very, very hot at night. I realize a lot of people look for cheap places to stay, but I would 10/10 NOT recommend this place. Your safety is worth more than a cheap establishment to stay.

My husband (who is Panamanian) was passing through David on the way to his work in Almirante. He had a long stretch of time to fill before taking an early morning bus to Almirante after arriving late to David. I suggested he stay in a hostel. I sent him the information for PaCasa. He contacted them and reserved a bed with no problem. Upon arrival, they wouldn't open the door to him until he showed the messages he exchanged with an employee through WhatsApp. After that, they told him that only "foreigners" and not Panamanians use their facilities. Next, they scrutinized his luggage and his ID. Finally, when he tried to pay the $10 fee with a $20 bill they inspected with such attention to detail, it could only be inferred that they were suggesting he was paying with a counterfeit bill. As if this horribly offensive and racist treatment were not enough, the animals that roam freely through the properly defecated in the room he was staying. I'm White; my husband is Panamanian- we've traveled extensively throughout Central America without anything like this ever happening to us. My husband and I began to have some painful discussions about whether our good treament in other Panamanian hostels was only due to the fact that I'm a White, Non-Panmanian. Don't support this racist establishment.

I arrived in the afternoon without booking and I was the only one staying in the hostel at that time (low season) but I had an amazing time with the lady that owns the hostel. She is super friendly, takes the time to explain you everything, shares what she has.
The location is perfect, 7 minutes walk from the bus station, 5 minutes to the supermarket and 10 to the centre.
I will really try to go back and stay a little longer!

I stayed here for two nights and it was an enjoyable stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and affordable. The hostel is located only a short walk from town and the park. The owners are very friendly and informative.
