If you're looking for the perfect place to spend your days in Boquete, you've just found it! This hostel is the ideal mix between chill (3-5 walking minutes from all the restaurants, supermarkets, bus station / only 6-7 rooms / plenty space for hanging out in the evening with other travellers or on your own) and fun (the two managing sisters will help you with every tour or transport). The rooms are quite spacious and comfy and you have water for free! ps: If you're doing just one thing in Boquete, make sure it will be the traditional chocolate tour inside the hostel. For 35 bucks you'll be able to produce your own chocolate, enjoy the traditional rituals and have fun with the whole indigenous family for 2 hours. Best experience during my 3 days in Boquete!

We just booked an economic stay for a night when we had some business to do in the area. What we found was a small cozy beautifully attended little bed and breakefast at a quiet side road in the center of Boquete. Everything you need and more was there and working. Hot water, WiFi, comfy bed, small garden with social area, book exchange, bicycle rent and more. Friendly, native owners. If you dont just talk about sustainable tourism but really want to support local businesses, this is our top recommendation in Boquete.

Staff was very nice and helpful. I stayed here just when Panama was hit with COVID-19. I was feeling a little bit scared and the owner / property manager went out of her way to ensure I was comfortable and safe. All in all, I felt very cared for. Location is great. It's a few blocks away from the main street, so this would be your go-to if you're looking for a quiet place. I stayed in a dorm room and everything was very clean.

What a hidden gem. A few blocks from the main street, is a oasis of green lush yard. The staff was friendly and very helpful with tips and suggestions on things to do (and speaks English well). The dorm room was very large, very clean and nice shower. The kitchen was big as well. Wifi worked well. will stay again if i visit boquete.

We stayed here for 2 nights ( 2 adults & 2 kids- 11 & 13). Lauri was the nicest hostess making sure we were always comfortable. She was ever ready to help and the sweetest person. She recommended activities to do, places to eat, made reservations for us and also gave us a ride into town. The room was small but spacious enough for the 4 of us. Clean room & bathroom. The garden was well kept and all the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was yummy & fulling and what we needed to get our day started. We would highly recommend Agaseke Lodge. Our only request would be for them to start accepting credit cards. It wasn't a big deal since Lauri informed us ahead of time that she doesn't accept credit cards and requested us to pay by cash.

Very pleasant, quiet, and relaxing. Near center of town, only a 2-3 block walk. Rooms are small but clean. Ideal for meeting and talking to people from all over the world. Great covered outdoor sitting area. Francine is a most gracious host.

Awesome place in the cool valley of Boquete where I have repeatedly stayed at. This BnB wakes you up with a warm coffee, fresh juice, and the greatest jams I have ever tasted. The service and hospitality provided by the staff and the owner are so top notch as to rival any neighboring hotels. Agaseke is walking distance from downtown, so do take advantage of it by exploring the city. Make sure to ask François about the story behind the name, Agaseke.

Agaseke is a very clean, quiet, comfortable guest house located a short walk from the center of town and within walking distance to many of Boquete's attractions. The property is very well-maintained and the owner Francine and her staff are wonderful. Francine gave us a ride from the bus station to the guest house when we arrived and took us around town to make sure we were able to book a tour for the next day. Francine knows everyone and is a great resource. She made us coffee on her day off and even dropped us at the bus when it was time to leave. We had a great time in Boquete and highly recommend staying at Agaseke!

We've spend two nights in Agaseke. From the outside nice looking, very well maintained building. Nice accessories and wine opener provided. Gate and doors are solid and provided with heavy locks which gave us a safe feeling. WiFi is provided and works good. The room (and bedsheets) are not modern but clean and tidy. The owners were friendly, welcomed us with a homemade fruit juice and came to check on us once in a while. An early breakfast was possible (which you would expect as the majority of activities in Boquete start around 8AM especially in rainy season). What was nice is that we got a drink and some snacks for during the day, thoughtful! The room is provided with a small bathroom (hit our head to doorpost or cupboard when standing up from toilet in the night, not much room to manoeuvre when having a north European length). The windows cannot be closed and there is no A/C; there is a fan though. This meant we were woken up by talking kids just next to our window or barking dogs. Double bed was OK but a bit small and hard. All in all after having seen 8 other accommodations in Panama, we really don't understand why Agaseke is ranked full five stars. For us it is at the bottom of the 9 accommodations we saw in Panama.

Response from Fran T, Owner at Agaseke Boquete
Responded 5 May 2016
Clients' reviews are an important way to learn about our clients' preferences and needs. This latest review was, however, puzzling: of the 7 complaints I read in the review, one was pertinent, one did not apply and 5 were inexact and I must therefore qualify them: why say the rooms and bedsheets weren't modern when Agaseke was finished building in Jan 2015 and everything, all furniture and ancillaries was bought new incl. all bedsheets albeit all from USA origin. The bathroom door post was said to be so low that the client did hit his head on it (or on the Boticario). Well, while I am sorry for the occurrence, the Boticario cabinet is on the wall, intended to be out of range of head-knocking while offering its mirror for shaving etc, while the bathroom (which is indeed a small one) has a door which is a standard 7 feet doorway which begs the question: how did the client hit the post? The windows are standard louvre-type used in tropical climates and can be easily closed by turning the handle and the nearest kids (of our neighbours) live at more than 50 feet away. At Agaseke we do not have A/C because the attraction of Boquete is its cool climate (21 celsius avarage) so a room ceiling fan has, so far, been adequate albeit seldom used. The clients double bed was, in fact, a queen bed which is a larger size we always try to use for middle European clients. All in all, we can only surmise that the client was there at the start of the rains & it did rain some, so maybe, this might have regrettably coloured his souvenir of his stay. But we will have written instructions stickers printed on how to turn the windows close-open operating handle because I can see how some clients might be unfamiliar with them.
