Great little hidden pousada on a cliff edge looking out over the sea. Off the beaten track. Nice individual chalet and very quiet. The best things are the view and the personalised service including a breakfast of your choice. Great value for money. Recommended.

I visit Pemba regularly for work and have always stayed in one of the two larger hotels that are not too far from this property. For my last visit I thought I’d give the Baobab Garden a chance, and I’m quite pleased that I have. I don’t think I’ll look for another place for future visits. The property has a well thought of garden, and the rooms (I suppose one could call them semi-detached bungalows) are spacious and comfortable. There are small details and touches in every corner of the room that makes you think the owners did not want to provide for the guests just what’s enough, they wanted to give the best they can. I especially loved the shower room that overlooks a small courtyard garden, and of course the breakfast table & loungers at the terrace with the most relaxing view of the ocean. The layout of the buildings also allow each room/terrace to feel quite private. I was asked what kind of breakfast I’d like, and was served a fresh, healthy breakfast, with good coffee (not that easy to find in Pemba hotels). Finally, as other reviewers pointed out, Isabel and Roche were friendly, available but not intrusive. In conclusion, great place; I feel like my accommodation issue in Pemba is sorted out for good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very relaxing place for my wife to stay whilst I fished Lazarus banks, owners can't do enough to make you feel at home, very friendly & most helpfull. Beautiful sea views, would highly recommend, central location to pemba & close to a new supermarket. Lovely breakfast on your balcony every morning too, fantastic.
