#5 of 16 B&Bs / Inns in Pemba
We have 2 large self-catering houses with two air-conditioned bedrooms, two bathrooms, well-equipped kitchens and also air-conditioned lounge areas. 8 air-conditioned bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms, DSTV channels and small individual fridges. We are situated at the end of Wimbe Beach, in a pleasant garden setting.Reggio Emilia is minutes away by foot from Wimbe's bars and restaurants. The beach is across the road and is quite safe. Our breakfast is simple but we take pride in our eggs which are made by our own hens and our small greens garden with fresh basil and arucula.

Reggio Emilia, run by affable long-time Italian ex-pat Carlo, offers old style chalets with huge bathrooms spread out under shading trees and organic produce gardens. Breakfasts of fresh fruit and eggs from Carlo's free running chickens are served on the stoep outside your room. A very nice restaurant, Por do Sol is just across the street, right on the beach. All very relaxed, good value, recommended. Reminded me of XaiXai in the epoca colonial Obs! The nearest chapa stop is at the big Nautilus hotel-restaurant complex, 1.25k west.

A charming family run hotel in lovely grounds. We were certainly well looked after. Breakfast was a delight that was brought to our verandah every day with lovely free range eggs from their own chickens. Isadora was a great help when it came to arranging transport too. Thank you for a great few days

We stayed here for 2 nights on arriving in Moz, then back for one night after flying to Ibo Island. The staff were very helpful, organising taxis to and from the airport, and a 4am one so we could catch the bus to Nampula. they also looked after some of our luggage for us while we were away at Ibo. Rooms are spacious, and breakfast served on your verandah was very good. There's a really nice feel to the place, with great walks along the beach and a very nice italian pizza restaurant almost opposite. Pemba is walkable but take water and not advised after dark.

I just stayed here one night on a business trip, but was pleasantly surprised by this place. The rooms are nice and big. The bed was really comfortable and the area is quiet at night. Bathroom was also well equiped with a good shower. In the morning they prepare a breakfast for you on the veranda in front of your room. A trip to the city centre takes about 10-15 min by taxi. Would stay here again!

Clean old-fashioned simple rooms offering good beds and nets. Big bathroom, powerful shower with hot water. Nice garden, almost on the seaside. Guardian service at the gate during the night. A little bit overpriced but a good place to stay in Pemba.
