I came to Maradiva to enjoy peace, seclusion and the exciting island life – and my expectations were more than exceeded. The villas are truly exceptional: spacious, with a private heated pool and an open living area where you can sit relaxed and admire the sunset in complete security. A special highlight was the outdoor shower – here you can sing to your heart’s content without anyone hearing it.
The culinary experiences were simply outstanding. From Michelin-starred chefs to live teppanyaki grilling at Haiku, the delicious flavours of Mauritius and refined Indian fine dining at Cilantro, every meal was a treat. We were particularly impressed by the Mauritian cooking class – a wonderful way to experience the island’s diverse aromas up close. Dinner at the sister hotel, Sands Suites Resort & Spa, was also a real highlight.
The warm hospitality at Maradiva made us feel completely pampered. The concierge and our butler took care of all our excursions and made everything so effortless that we could just relax and enjoy. There are so many activities to choose from, but often it was the simple moments that were most beautiful – like watching the sunset at the beach restaurant while we enjoyed the breathtaking views.
Next time we definitely treat ourselves to the Rolls-Royce picnic! Until then, we dream of returning to this little paradise.

My daughter and I were lucky enough to stay at this BEAUTIFUL resort for a week in August. What can I possibly say that hasn't already been said?! We have travelled extensively in Asia, Africa, Europe and the hospitality/service we experienced at Maradiva has to top every single high-end resort we've ever stayed in! Each member of staff greeted us with a smile, and by name (don't know how they do it!) The accommodation was top class, plenty of space with a welcoming heated plunge pool, kept spotless by the wonderful cleaning staff (we stayed in villa 209 which had a lovely open view down to the sea). The food was exceptional, we ate in Cassine, Cillantro and the Beach House Grill and all 3 were a delight to behold. My daughter is a vegetarian and this was quickly picked up on during our first evening, and seamlessly catered for during the rest of our stay. I wish I had written down all the names of staff we had interactions with but ..... to name but a few, we must say a big thank you to Ash and Dinesh who helped us with every single detail of our stay. Also, a shoutout to Hena on reception and the amazing Anish at the spa who worked her magic on my back and shoulders, releasing tension I never realised I had! In short, thank you to ALL at Maradiva, who have helped us make memories we will treasure for a very long time!

Resort: Beautiful, exclusive and very well-kept, quiet complex right on the beach in Flic en Flac.
Villa: Exceptional resort with beautiful villas.
These have been freshly renovated.
The Exclusive Suite Pool Villa has a large pool (1.2m deep) and is right on the beach. It is equipped with a large living area with toilet, a large bedroom, a dressing room and a huge bathroom with a free-standing bathtub and outdoor area including an outdoor shower.
From the living room and bedroom you have access to the large terrace and the pool.
Food: The food in the main restaurant was excellent.
Breakfast is a la carte. With half board, a 3-course menu (several options to choose from per course) is included for dinner in the main restaurant. Alternatively, you can choose other dishes or eat in the other restaurants. You will then receive a discount of 1800 rupees on the meal (equivalent to the price of the 3-course menu). The selection of in-room dining is large and the food is usually brought within 20 minutes.
Service: The service throughout the resort is excellent. The staff are without exception friendly and courteous.
Spa: During my stay I used the spa offer twice (1x 2h massage / 1x peeling, wrap & 90min massage). Both treatments were exceptional. The spa complex is very large and beautiful including a heated outdoor pool, steam bath and sauna. The complex itself (pool, steam bath, sauna etc.) can be used freely at any time.

Maradiva is most definitely a magical place and one that we would highly recommend.
The hotel is situated in the most beautifully maintained grounds. Beautiful by day and stunning by night.
The unspoilt beach was kept natural with trees creating a natural canopy in areas. There’s still that wonderful service if you needed a drink, food or towel though! Huge shout out of the nicest beach team ever; Veen, Kay and Zidane! We miss the sunsets!
The spa is an amazing experience not to forget. Although pricey, it really is tailor-made for each individual. Thank you Dr Praveen 🙏
The food, service, accommodation and hospitality are exceptional. All of the staff throughout the hotel, restaurants, spa and grounds are so helpful and friendly without it feeling forced . You could tell that they cared about each guest. Thank you Kanen, Rishi, Pritila, Kenny, Babita and Doombay, you were all amazing. A special thanks goes to Shenaz – you are a credit to the hotel.
One point to note, this isn’t an adult only hotel so families with young children may also be staying. If you are looking for complete peace and tranquillity, this may not be the perfect place for you.
We made some very special memories at Maradiva and it will hold a special place in our heart.
Until we meet again…. Garry & Wendy

We are Russians and are not used to answering the question "how are you?" 4-5 times on the way to tomorrow, lunch or dinner. The kitchen is excellent, but the system of breakfast and dinner included did not remain clear to the end, since there was a limited amount per person for dinner. It is worth either removing dinner from the "on" system altogether and leaving only breakfast, and the rest of the meals exclusively for cash. We found the staff very intrusive with their curiosity about where we were and so on. Well, the constant knocking on the door, then cleaning the room, then bringing towels, then asking how we were doing - it was very annoying when they forgot to turn on the "do not disturb" sign. Overall, the hotel is very nice, the kitchen is just a blast! The beach is limited for merchants, and it resembles the resorts of Turkey, which is not acceptable for a hotel of this level. Thank you very much for the service provided and the organization of the rest! See you later)

A short 4 night stay. We were greeted by Olivia, resident manager and her reception team, which made us feel very welcomed, a very good experience and although we were a bit early, we enjoyed an orientation buggy tour, and our room was ready at the end of it. We were greeted by Olivia, resident manager and her reception team, which made us feel very welcomed, a very good experience and although we were a bit early, we enjoyed an orientation buggy tour, and our room was ready at the end of it. The villas are wonderful, all newly refurbished, just like the whole resort, tastefully decorated, comfortable and everything you could wish for during your stay. The outdoor/indoor sitting area was particularly good and your own pool to dip in if you wanted. Our villa was 3 back from the beach which worked really well for us. The villa was maintained to a high standard by Audrey, with Babita, head of housekeeping on hand for any extra touches required, in-fact she would help with any requests. We were assigned Dinesh as our butler, who was very charming and only a WhatsApp away and sorted restaurant, spa and restaurant bookings, checking in on us to ensure everything was okay, it worked well. On the beach Venn welcomed us and his young team looked after us, when on the beach. We used the spa, which again modern and new, sadly did not make a note of our 2 therapists, but both excellent. My wife used the gym, all modern kit, where Kushel assisted her, again a very good experience. We tried 3 restaurants, Cassini for breakfast and diner, Vishal was particularly chatty and Pritilla and Zaninab were both very engaging. The Beach House Grill was our favourite meal, with Dhanish very helpful and attentive. Cilantro the Indian restaurant was good, although very quiet just us and another couple and sadly not quite as attentive, possibly because it was so quiet. There are opportunities for the resort to excel, which the recently appointed GM, Bertrand is possibly aware and his long experience in high service resorts will pay dividends eventually and he seems to be building a team to accomplish this. The main areas to focus on are the service levels that were very variable to say the least and quality training should sort this out and moreover the food offer that at times was just too fussy and in fact totally failed, back to basics I suggest, hot, well presented, tasty food and leave all the fancy stuff to later, or not at all. Therefore an overall wonderful experience, but with teething pains that need addressing, particularly at this premium level.

This is a fantastic resort! Our family liked the Maradiva so much we changed our travel plans and came back for some additional days at the end of our holidays (after originally staying for a week). There is so much that is positive about this resort that it is hard to summarize, the villas are great and spacious, the dinning is superb and there is so much to do in the resort, from water skiing to playing PS5 games, you never get bored. The key stand out feature for me though was the service...I could literary mention every single person we interacted with as every single one of our requests was dealt with swiftly and in a positive manner. We have travelled extensively and in high class resorts it is the little details that make a difference and you get plenty of that in the Maradiva. One of the best resorts I have ever stayed in. Thank You for a wonderful holiday Aki, Dinesh, Pritila, Hisha, Gavin, Akeel, Fiji, Hena, Nirvana, Kenny and everybody else!

We were able to spend our honeymoon here and were absolutely thrilled from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. As honeymooners, we received special extras, such as a couples massage and a candlelight dinner. The villas and the entire complex are incredibly beautifully designed (we loved our heated, private pool and the outdoor shower). You can find privacy everywhere, even on the beach, where the loungers are well spaced out. You can book many water activities in the hotel's boathouse (glass-bottom boat, snorkeling, stand-up paddling...), which are free for guests. Our highlight was a dolphin tour on the west coast, which was also easy to book through the hotel. All other excursions and activities can also be easily planned at reception; a driver (with the hotel's own BMW) can also be booked. We also thought the location of the hotel was great; in 15 minutes we could reach Flic en Flac with its many shops and restaurants by bike (some of which are free to borrow). The food was great and offered a lot of choice, including many vegetarian and vegan dishes. Here, guests' special preferences are also taken into account (we had the feeling that we could have wished for anything!). You can choose between four restaurants in total and you will be more than full even with half board. We loved the afternoon cakes that were always brought to the villa! All of the staff were really, without exception, super accommodating and very, very nice. We felt completely at home and had a great time at the Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa!

It is a high quality luxury resort and spa right on a beautiful white sandy beachfront. Perfect place to swim in the sea. The neat collection of well appointed pool villas are carefully designed to give privacy and be close to the restaurants and the beach. The staff take care to make sure you are happy and made to feel special. My wife’s gluten free diet was easily catered for and overall the food was excellent. They have four restaurants serving a good choice of well prepared food, an Indian,Japanese and beachside grill and a further gourmet restaurant. It’s quiet and relaxing.
