Conveniently located about 15 mins from the airport and a good place for a night stay before starting off to kundasang the next day ..

Rooms are clean and staff are polite .. breakfast is basic .. I was surprised to find a sabahan delicacy - sago worms available on the menu .. had to try some 😝

We stayed here while on transit to Kundasang. It's not that easy to find, but it's not a problem to the local KK drivers. The building was quite new and in good condition.
Lobby area was small, but not an issue as the receptionist was efficient. When we arrived, the aircon in the lobby area wasn't working. Good thing it was not too warm or stuffy.
What pleased my husband and me was the bedding. It was the most comfortable among the other 3 places we stayed at (airbnb and hotels) during our KK trip.
I'd highly recommend it as transit stay as we slept well here. Moreover, the rate is so affordable!

Second stay at this hotel after 4 years. Reason we chose this hotel because the impression we had last stay was the room is quite clean and comfortable. Good location also as it is really near to airport.

the hotel is located few KMs away from the city center, staying away from the busy traffic, but will not recommend for travelers who don't have their own transport, nothing much around the hotel. in general the hotel is very clean and in good condition, maybe due to its still relatively new. the room size is good, but in-room amenities are inconsistent, some of the items has not been replenish. Hotel front dest staff are average in service and friendliness, but the restaurant staff are worst, slow in service and don't really bother greet their house guests...will i come back again?....yes if i just need a clean room to sleep when other hotel are fully booked..

I checked in with a friend on May 7, 2016 as we need to complete some work nearby to this hotel. By far, this is one of the best hotel that we have ever stayed in Kota Kinabalu. We're extremely satisfied with the products and services offered to us by the hotel employees.

This hotel is not far from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport and Kota Kinabalu city. That enabled us to move around for work. Simply put, the location is quite strategic. This hotel offers a one way transportation for guests heading for the city. We had 3 meals here during our 2 days & 1 Night stay. Lunch, Dinner and breakfast the next day.

The meals were amazingly delicious and the prices are affordable for everyone. I love the Nasi Ayam Masak Merah that I had during lunch and my friend enjoyed so much the Special Fried Rice. Waiters and waitress at the cafe worked professionally and were very friendly.

The room that we stayed was room 910 (Superior room) and it has amazing view of the surrounding areas. The layout, arrangement and amenities are similar to a standard room in a 4 star hotel. This is a 3 star hotel. We both were amazed on the effort taken by the management to give the best facilities to guests despite the fact that this is only 3 star hotel.

Bathroom in our room is quite spacious. Overall the room that we stayed was clean and every appliances are new. Security is the main aspect being monitored in this hotel as guests will need to flash their room card when entering elevators in order to have access to certain floors.

We love the breakfast buffet items/menu choices. Not that lavish as in 5 star hotel but it kept us going until late afternoon. All of the choices that we consumed tasted delicious and we actually had 2nd for some items. Walk in customers will be charged RM25, a reasonable price I must say.

For guests with own car, there are plenty parking slots available around this hotel. Overall, we did enjoy our stay. Staffs were friendly, polite, attentive and all of them had genuine smile. I recommend this hotel for those coming looking for a good hotel stay in Kota Kinabalu.

Stayed 2 nights late last year before the official opening. The room were comfortable with just enough space for One or Two person. I was also shown the Junior Suite. Very spacious with more than a180 degrees window views.

You can see the airport air control tower from levels 5 and above but just not along the flying path as most hotels in the city.

Breakfast was just nice and yummy.

This isnt our 1st stay. Our 1st experience was in Feb 2017. That time the rooftop bar was under construction. We decided to stay here again mainly because of the price. Its a budget hotel with all basic amenities. There is no gym/ pool. Your hotel room is spacious and comfortable. This time we had our room for 7D6N..for less than rm900! Here are my lists of pros & cons:

Pros:
- Quiet location. Away from busy traffic
- very close to airport KKIA, less than 10mins
- close to QE hospital/ local food spots eg Damai, Luyang
- Fresh towels, toiletries refills, clean room everyday
- Complimentary Breakfast ( u can ask for eggs of your choice)
- Hung Xing seafood restaurant is walkable distance
-Uber/ Grab friendly
- Helpful receptionist
- Prompt customer services
-Rooftop bar for sunset views, hangout spot with afforadable liquor price
- sitting area outside lobby fr smoking

Cons:
- limited varieties for breakfast (same menu evry other day. There are so many options of local food.)
- sausage was not nice
- our room did not have tea bags & coffee bags for 3 days. Impossible to miss if cleaning of the room is done daily.
- limited Tv channels.
- please provide newspaper delivery to evry room
- beer prices are expensive

I chose this hotel because it was located very close to the airport. I had previously stayed in town near the waterfront more than double the cost of Hotel No 5. Location is great for night time flight departures, but bad for sight seeing in the city. They do offer shuttles to the city center, but do not offer airport shuttles. Taxi cost from hotel to the airport is a standard 30 Ringgit (~$7 USD). The hotel was clean and very inexpensive $41 USD. This hotel also had the best free internet during my 14 days in Borneo.
