The Le Royal Hotel was a great place to stay. My room had the best sea views and the Beirut city centre. Conveniently located near the road, the hotel was easy to access to and from any destination near by. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The room was cleaned multiple times per day, bottled water replenished along with the bathroom compliments. The room was spotless and spacious. I had a great experience overall.

The hotel was outstanding. The room was cleaned daily, twice if wanted. The breakfast staff, as well as the front desk and lounge bar staff - were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend staying at the Le Royal Beirut.

Location of hotel is good. Sea view rooms has nice view Hotel is generally old . Breakfast is below average with very basic choices. Receptionists and employees seem very demotivated Gym has wide range of equipment, but many cardio machines where not in operation. Also gym opens at 07:30 !! Which is late Internet connection is bad . Hotel still charge for extra devices connections (kind of outdated approach for 5 * hotel)

A friend and I stayed at the Le 'royale for 6 nights. it was my first trip to Beirut and have to admit had a little nervousness. Once checking to the hotel found it to be luxurious and convenient. The rooms very nice. the food in the hotel was great. One little thing was that some of the restaurants were closed. this should probably be changed on web site. However it was a great place to stay. the food was good. the staff so helpful and friendly. was made to feel totally at home. highly recommend this hotel

Spent a week here during some work event. Very attentive and helpful staff make the visit a 5-star. Rooms are a bit dated, so if I could give it an overall 4.5 star. Breakfast was a nice selection and made to order eggs if requested. There is a 3 story gym, spa and pool area inside for those traveling in other seasons. The outside pool has a beautiful view. Would be happy to stay here again if business sends me back. Again, the staff are excellent.

The room we had was small and dark, the bathroom was tiny, and towels were torn and/or stained. Electric plugs were inconveniently placed. Our floor, a non-smoking floor, had residents who were smoking. Far too many personnel were Arabic-only speakers (we even had to call the front desk to tell a cleaner to wait 15 minutes until we had left for dinner). I know it’s tough in Beirut, but all of this was a little too much. One standout, though, was room service.

I had a really nice stay at this hotel, nice staff, good clean rooms and an amazing view of the coast. The only negative is that it is located in the outskirts of Beirut. But it is a hotel I would recommend to stay at if you visit Lebanon. They provide transport to and from the airport, which is nice when there is no public transportation.

On March the 29th 2017, my husband’s family and I decided to celebrate our wedding in your hotel The Royal: the bride’s reception at the Crystal reception room, our diner reception in your restaurant Le Titanic and spend our first night as husband and wife in one of your bedroom on the same night. People choose their wedding venue according to a specific list that should reflect their needs and wants; usually the best they can afford. To celebrate our big day we decided that the best for us was your hotel: The Royal. The five stars grade that echoes « luxury » was not the only criterium on our list but made a big part in our decision as our expectations were high. A wedding is a stressful day for the family that is planning it and it is with reasons that we trusted you to help us have the best day we could, as stated in your website: « Our wedding team at Le Royal focuses on the very important issue that such a once-in-a-lifetime event has to be perfect. […] our team counsels clients in order to ensure an unforgettable experience. Often the couples are stressed and confused […] Here's where we clearly state the options and help put them on the right track.» The location of The Royal was one of the first reason we chose to celebrate our wedding. In fact, since we planned our big day in the middle of the week, we needed a place not far from most of our guests. We chose The Royal between a few other hotels and were not disappointed by our decision. To accommodate our 60+ guests we also highlighted the fact that we needed a good valet service that your very well offered the evening of the event. Lastly, we decided to have our wedding diner at Le Titanic, chose the menu Gala Diner Menu III, Paul Zgheib as our entertainment and the DJ you provided for the rest of the night. All of our guests and us had an unforgettable night: the decoration of the room and the arrangement of the tables were great, the food was nicely presented, properly served and tasteful and the service in general was as expected: worthy of a five stars hotel restaurant. But despite all of those good comments, a lot of crucial issues surfaced during this critical day. Since your website is offered in the three principal languages spoken in Lebanon (Arabic, English and French) and knowing that some of our guests were not arabic speakers and poor english speakers, we decided to trust a high-hand brand that is LEADING HOTELS OF THE WORLD and believed that the majority of the employees would speak french and/or english or at least be polite enough to send someone who could offer the best service possible to their clients at The Royal. Unfortunately, that was not the service offered to the bride’s parents. In their poor english and with the most genuine attempt to be understood, they were disappointed with the lack of effort that was made from the staff to offer them a five stars hotel service that they expected. Since the hotel is located in Lebanon were at least 25% of the people speaks french and also as a luxurious hotel, some of the most important and educated employee would be able to provide an excellent bi-lingual service. Moreover, on their arrival at the hotel at approximatively 2:15pm, the bride and her two friends went in the brides parents bedroom (#1203) to retrieve her dress as well as her bridesmaids dresses. While in the room and to lose as minimum time as possible, the bridesmaid made a call from room 1203 to the reception and asked for the room that was supposed to be ready for the bride to get dressed in and later on, for the newly wed couple to sleep in. The answer she got was that the room was still occupied by late clients and, if we wanted, we could be offered an other one. Since it was no ordinary day, nobody had the time to ask for anything at the reception and expected that any other room would be already ready and offered without the need to ask. We then decided to get ready in the brides parents room and ask for the newly wed couples room at our return to the hotel at the time of the diner reception the same evening. Furthermore, as agreed on the contract signed on March the 28th, the bride should have been able to enjoy spending a moment with family and friends at the Crystal reception room. Said room should have been ready on time for the bride to, not only have her cocktail reception but to also received the flowers send by her husband-to-be and be photographed with them. Not only the said room was not ready on time, but the bride had to see for herself why her guests were waiting for her in the lobby with other regular clients of the hotel instead of enjoying a glass of champagne (that was included in the location of the said room) and eat some ‘petits-fours’ that were supposed to be served with the drinks. At the time the bride went to realized that you didn't respect this part of the agreement, it was already late and friends, family as well as the bride herself had to leave for the church. One of your employee saw the bride and finally decided to act and insist that we go spend the less-than-10-minutes we had left in the said room. We decided to go to take a few family and friends pictures but it’s with our most outrage surprised that not only the guests entered the room at the same time as the flowers did, the drinks arrived after everybody was already in the room and the ‘petits-fours’ were never offered. We recently learned from the florist that miss Pamela Geagea called him when he had already left the hotel to ask where he had put the flowers as she had no idea where they were. This reflects how bad your staff was prepared and organized that day. Being a part of « Le Royal Hotels & Resorts […] a world-class hotel […] named one of the world's top 50 » it is your duty to be responsible for the perfect execution of the contract we both signed and to offer the high quality services that you advertise in your website. Humans make mistakes and it was your responsibility not to argue with us about any of the mistakes you made that day but to offer proper apologies, worthy of a five stars hotel management staff. When we came with good faith to speak with your Food and Beverage Manager mister Carlos Daou on April the 4th and discuss all the maters that I just stated, we felt we were treated as untrustworthy and greedy people as we were told that everything we said was not what had happen. We only wanted an appropriate apology from you but we left feeling betrayed and unfairly treated. How could we lie or exaggerate the events with all the surveillance cameras that are placed all over your establishment? And what about the time stamps on the thousands of pictures our photographer took? At last, don’t you have any records of the calls made from the rooms to the reception? If you didn’t believed us you should have checked our statements by yourselves. Again, we didn’t came on this day of April to prove anything to you or have witnesses to corroborate our side of the story but you had the audaciousness to bring the staff member that saw the bride enter the Crystal room and contradict our sayings multiple times to have, at the end, miss Pamela Geagea, confirms that the room was in fact, as we were continuously claiming, not ready. It would be important to specify that the mention above staff might not be personally responsible for the above description or the feeling we have towards The Royal on our wedding day but it is really the specific part of the day, that results in our misfortune 3 weeks after our wedding.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service, very comfortable and luxurious rooms, we just love it! The menu is restricted due to the economic crisis but the food is super delicious. The water park was a bit disappointing (not all rides were available) but overall it was a good experience.

I wish to share today’s very bad experience. We went to water gate (le Royal hotel) and we were very disappointed by the disrespect of social distancing we witnessed while waiting in line to use the slides (and some of them are not even working! ). They seem to forget that corona is hitting again. No organization not to mention the smell of URINE and garbage everywhere and very bad maintenance of the place ! Very bad smell in the toilets as well. I was not expecting this in such a respectable hotel. Bad food too. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL !!!!
