We are touring Lebanon as parents and two grown up kids 1) Lebanon is fantastic and has everything, from the modern amenities, to the ancient sites and fascinating history, including recent history 2) the food is amazing Byblos or Jbeil was a one night stop on the way north to the hills. This is one of the most ancient places, where communities were first established. Really amazing. Archaelogical sites. Med sea. Lovely restaurants and souks..Never any hassle just pride in their most beautiful country This hotel is great. 20 mins walk or shot taxi hop into the main area So attentive staff. Lovely breakfast A minibar with free on the house cold drinks Rooms very comfortable, Off road parking Could not have been more pleasant Recommend it completely

Clare the hotel owner is at the heart of this hotels success. She goes above and beyond a normal hotel owner to make sure her guest are happy. We were staying in Byblos for two weeks and wanted a place that felt like home, and that is exactly what we received. She felt like our Lebanese mum who cooked breakfast fresh for us every morning. Her breakfast is super fresh, healthy and a great way to start the day. This is a boutique hotel, and you come to this hotel for a personal and authentic experience. Clare is such a generous and kind hearted person who even drove us to get SIM cards for our phones. Lebanon is not the most tourist friendly country, so Clare really helped us a lot. A SIM card is hard to get in lebanon and her assistance was appreciated. It is also quite difficult to not get ripped off by taxi drivers, so Clare did all the money handling for the taxis for us, thankfully. The two most important things for me personally in a hotel is customer service and cleanliness and Byblostar delivered on both. The room was cleaned everyday to an extremely high level. Honestly the floor was so clean you could eat off it. Every single day the room was spotless and scrubbed clean. The customer service was of an extremely high level, for example on this trip Clare even got my shoes fixed for me. It was honestly like our apartment because we were there for two weeks. She was great as we had people visiting us and she was fine with people visiting. It was also super easy to order coffee up when we needed it. One thing is for sure you can always count on Clare to put a smile on your face, weather it is her funny stories or her great tourist recommendations. It depends what you are looking for in your accomodation, but if you want a boutique authentic experience I would highly recommend this hotel.

Clair is an amazing host. She cares a lot about the cleanliness of the hotel. She makes her guests feel at home. She prepares a fresh breakfast everyday, she even bakes delicious croissant. She gives advices about tourism and she offers good deals. The hotel is very comfortable and clean. It is a 10 min walk to Souk Jbeil and a 10 min ride to Batroun. I will stay at Byblostar whenever I feel like staying in Jbeil or Batroun for a weekend.

Claire is the owner of this hotel and an extraordinary host. She is a warm generous woman who cannot do enough for you. You immediately feel at home and know that she there for you 100%. The rooms are large and clean. They are consistent with a 4 star hotel in Lebanon. All amenities are provided or available on request. The breakfasts are very generous and cooked for you by Claire and her team, fresh every morning. This hotel is in a great spot. It has views down to the sea. It is in easy walking distance of the major tourist sites. It has a a handy market close by and is walking distance to restaurants. Claire can arrange transport for you and is prepared to bargain with people to get you the best price. This is a wonderful help when you cannot speak the language.
