Hotel Review *** Mercure Okinawa Naha *** This is very good hotel. It is well located and not far from the airport. You can just take the Yuli Rail (Okinawa Urban Monorail) and it will drop you almost right in front of the hotel. The station name is TSUBOGAWA. (If you have difficulty in pronouncing Japanese, then use the number. It is station no. 5).

The service is good and staff are friendly and always eager to help. But be patient with them as their level of English maybe a bit poor.

The morning breakfast buffet is good. It does not have a lot of choices like in a big five star hotel, but it is enough to keep you going for a few days without feeling bored.

Do remember to try the peanut tofu (Jimami Dohu - An Okinawan Dish). It a tofu with peanut flavour. It was the first time I have tasted something like this. I loved it very much.

What are the downside, like all Japanese Hotel, the room is not big. Some may say it is small. The second thing is that we were given a welcome drink voucher, but the restaurant and Bar is closed in the evening. So that was a disappointment.

But if you need some food or drink, do not worried. There is a family mart next to the hotel and many restaurants are a shortwalking distance away.

So for the price we pay I would say this Hotel gave very good value. It is worth a try if you are visiting Okinawa.

Hotel Mercure was amazing! Quality staff, quality food, many spoke English, washer/dryer in the hotel, AC, private bathroom with bidet! Family Mart and 7-11 next door. Perfect!

We got caught in typhoon Khanun so and can't fly out for another week. The staff made sure that I could extend my stay in the same room, housekeeping brought extra towels and water and the restaurant was open during the typhoon. Note: buffet breakfast and buffet lunch only.

The room is sound proof so though it made some noise from the category 4 typhoon...it wasn't as bad. Building was study and swayed. Toilet water moved. But we were thankful to be in this hotel!!!

Hotel Mercure is totally worth it!

The staff are very accommodating especially Mr, Mark Macaya. He was very helpful when I had trouble using the wifi. He is a good asset to the hotel.

One thing that really amazed me was the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They are not your usual hotel toiletries. They smell so good and you know that it is not cheap quality. The body wash was really the best!

The room is cleaned every day. The towels and complimentary drinks are replaced every day.

Truly one of my best stays in a hotel!

I stayed at this hotel on October 3 for one night. As a matter of fact, the reason why I picked up this hotel for this time was I had a good experience with this accommodation last year. Location is very convenient because it’s located so close to Yuirail monorail station and Donkihote (discounted department) and in addition, there is ounoyama park just across the canal. But the best part of this hotel is hospitality as I mentioned in the subject. This time I enjoyed talking with the front staff Mark. He is so professional and has a sense of humour, and knows how to entertain tourists. He gave me some complimentary gift as well. Anyway you should stay at Mercure Naha. Totally recommended!

The Mercure is about 10mins from Naha Airport by monorail and a couple of minutes from the station. The hotel has a (paid) car park at the back which is quite handy. Central Naha is about 10-15mins away on foot.

Check-in was fast and efficient and the staff spoke decent English. The rooms were of an acceptable size and in fairly good condition, although the decor was quite dated. The bathroom was tiny, but spotlessly clean and everything worked.

Breakfast was extensive, with many Western and Japanese options.

At GBP60 per night per room including breakfast (noting it was fairly off season) the hotel was excellent value.

We had a booking for 3 rooms in five people. Because of a death in the family 3 people wouldn't be able to join the stay anymore. On these unexpected circumstances we requested for a cancellation or change in the booking. Even with proof they did not make themselves available to any flexibility and 2 of the rooms went unused. All other hotels and airlines were very understanding of the situation and cancelled the reservation or provided vouchers free of charge. This was the only business that did not care at all about the situation. Maybe they never went through a similar situation and because of that they can't sympathize with my group situation. I wouldn't recommend a stay here as they do not have the minimum requirements of human touch that so many other businesses in Japan and other countries do.

The staff was very accommodating with our little one, especially Yasumura. He helped us get her the things she needed such as a high chair when at the buffet. The options there were very accommodating, even showing us a very detailed list of allergens for each dish. We were very excited to even see options for our 7 month old baby! Overall a great experience and looking forward to coming back next time we visit Okinawa.

Easy access from Naha airoport and the monorail as the station is alsmot in front of the hotel. Room are large. Breackfast buffet is rich and service nice. The advantage is that you have a rent a car counter inside the hotel that can provide you a car in front of the lobby. Nice service.
It would be nice to have room for 4 people especially when travelling with kids.

During my stay, I had a lot of problems with the Accor ALL loyalty program (they locked my account without telling me and was not able to provide a solution to solve the situation quickly. I had to call them more than 5 times but it was too late because I had to check out. I wasted more than 5 hours in total just to call the global helpdesk). However, the Hotal front desk staffs were very helpful, especially Arakawa San and Aso San, They helped to contact the global helpdesk and provided me steps to unlock my account. If it was not for them, my stay would not be so pleasent. Thank you so much to the Hotel front desk staffs.

It does depend on whether you need a western breakfast This can limit you to the hotel (quite nice & convenient) I didn't try the convenience store or 4 stops to the top of Kokusai st ( can't recall station name) and a short walk down is Maccas a few Cafes around but many not open till 10 Subway. 2 stops from hotel ( get off for the start of Kokusai st, the street is almost straight ahead but subway is a left exit Such fun in that street so so many places for meals Great coffee at a cafe called Orgasam
