It is a quiet hotel with stylish rooms. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is provided at a perfect place next to a basin with goldfish. This is my 2nd stay and I will come for the 3rd.

I stayed here for a week in October. This is a fairly simple hotel and for someone who spends the majority of his time in Marriott properties this would be akin to a Courtyard or Residence Inn. This is located not far from Victoria Falls, an hour from Chobe National Park and at t

Has the hotel been able to help anyone with setting up transportation from and to the Livingstone Airport? If so, how much is it?
You can hire a taxi at the airport to get to the hotel . You can arrange with the same cab driver to drop you back. It’s about $20 for the cab each way. The hotel front desk may also be able to help

Sorry can’t help you as I travelled from Dar Es Salam by train and then hired a private driver. Then took a mini van to Zimbabwe.

Can anyone report on experiences with mosquitoes in their rooms in August?
Yes Mosquitoes are there but the hotel has control measures on reducing the impact such as fly-screens and insecticides in all rooms. I also know they have systems that repel mosquitoes that are approved by competent authorities. Further, the Hotel can send you a brochure on malaria control which is also found in every room.

We are very concerned on reading reviews of loads of mosquitos at this hotel and generally in Livingstone, but would love to see the Victoria Falls. We will take the usual precautions and anti malaria drugs but this is a worry. We are now considering staying in Cape Town and flying to Livingstone, spending a few days there and seeing the Victoria Falls that way. We don’t want to spend two weeks in Livingstone to get bitten by mosquitoes. Has anyone chose this option and is it feasible. Many thanks JF
I would agree that more than 3 days in Livingstone would be too much anyway and that staying in Cape Town would be good bet. It is correct that the hotel provides bug spray etc but mosquitoes remain a problem. Every time you open your bedroom door, there are hundreds of them around which is most annoying.
