If you want a true five star resort then this is not the place. If you are after a three or four star resort on the beach with the kids/family you will be happy here. Food is average, though to their credit breakfast has a huge selection. The staff seem to lack and real interest in their job except the gardening team who do a great job keeping the grounds looking amazing. The resort is well located relative to Hoi An Ancient Town and having a golden sandy beach protected by a man made breakwater is this resort’s greatest advantage over others just up the road. Not the very worst place to stay but also not the best.

We were pleasantly surprised that though Palm Garden Resort is larger than other hotels we've stayed at it still retains an intimate friendly atmosphere. The staff from the gardeners, reception, waitstaff and management make you feel right at home. Facilities are excellent whether your dining here, using the pool or lounging at the beach. Attention to detail is evident everywhere. Speaking of the beach, it's clean beautifully maintained and awesome for an early morning swim. Water was cool and clear. Lifeguards are attentive and happy to assist. Breakfast was abundant and seemingly never ending, catering for all tastes. Its family friendly as well as catering for couples or singles.

Beautiful hotel on the beach ! This 5* resort is amazing and great value for money. The location is spot on, with only a 10 min drive to the Ancient town for shopping, nightlife etc. we preferred to be nearer the beach and then take a Grab taxi into town. So easy to do! Breakfast was spot on, so many choices and high standard. Loved the reception area where they served afternoon tea. Also the Beach bar teams were brilliant. Attentive and food at the bar was good, not great but good for not having to venture too far from the beach. The Contiki bar was pleasant for meeting up in the evenings before we headed into town for some nightlife and dinner. Our room was spacious and immaculate each day. Long walks on the beautiful beach, and the sea was good for kids. Cannot fault the hospitality of the hotel staff. We have loved our 7 days here!

They claim to be a 5* resort, but in reality they are a solid 3.5*. The property is lovely but the management has let it go a bit. The rooms are large but the cleaning staff is not as good as they should be, hair in the bathroom, footprints on the floor, dust on the lamps. The food is good but over priced and the worst thing was toddlers screaming their heads off at breakfast, children running amock with pieces of cake. I understand "family friendly" but a separate breakfast for families with kids would go a long way to make this place much-much more relaxing. The ear piercing screeches of babies and toddlers who's parents think its adorable is not a good start to any day!

Very nice family friendly resort. Lovely manicured gardens, excellent pool and other facilities such as gym, tennis and game room, friendly staff and good location by the beach and 10 minutes from town. The breakfast spread is second to none and the poolside restaurant serves decent food and drinks during the day. Give the evening dining a miss though, we made a the mistake of teppanyaki which is meant to be entertaining but really missed the mark. The accommodations are well furnished and spacious, but as tempting as they look avoid the beach side villas near the bar area unless you like to have weddings and events and associated construction going on right outside your window. It spoiled our Friday / Saturday to be honest and they needed to respect the privacy of guests staying in these rooms. That said would happily come back and stay in another of their rooms.

Located on the beach. Stayed in a bungalow overlooking the pool, which was excellent. Large and spacious, and beautifully furnished. Little touches, included chocolates delivered to your room in the evening, and the lemongrass fragranced burner lit each day. The smell was gorgeous. The hotel is within easy reach of Hoi An, either by taxi or shuttle bus (10 mins). Staff were welcoming and friendly

We were here 11 years ago with our children & this time round, our children are both married & here with their spouses. Very happy with decision to return to this resort. The resort is well-maintained & clean. The friendly & professional staff gave excellent service. The beach in front of the resort is clean & good to swim. Breakfast spread is very good with a wide choice of western & Vietnamese food. The coffee is always delicious. Opposite the resort, you’ll find very decent restaurant for all your meals. There’re also a few spas & laundry service. Hoi An old town is easily accessible via taxi or Grab. Compared with 11 years ago, it’s busier & more crowded but still retains its charm & vibe. We highly recommend Palm Garden Resort for your vacation in Hoi An.

We stayed in a garden/ pool view bungalow and also a sea front bungalow. Both of them were excellent, we stayed for 6 nights in total and it was superb all round. My husband picked a wonderful hotel for us to stay in the food and drinks were great, the staff were really kind and the breakfast was included too. If you get chance to visit please do, this was our favorite place whilst we were on Vietnam!

We stayed for 6 nights in a Beach Front Bungalow. Lovely room with outside seating area and great sea view. Biggest negative was the paper thin walls. We had neighbours (luckily for one night only) who played loud music which we could hear very clearly as well as their voices and other noises, until we contacted reception at 12.45am to ask them to request they quieten down. They really need to sort this issue out as we also heard the next neighbours having a lovely time late one afternoon. Pool area very nice with plenty of shady areas. We didn’t have dinner in the restaurant. Several restaurants opposite the hotel. We would recommend the Golden Nut. Open for lunch and dinner with fantastic food and lovely husband and wife team. Also a beachfront restaurant - Ho’n - also fantastic. Turn right and walk along the beach or left along the road. Ten minute walk and well worth it. Taxis into Hoi An - ask the hotel to call one to drop you in old town - easy to find one there to bring you back. About £4 each way. First trip in we stuck to main riverside area which is very frantic. Next time we checkout out some of the numerous side streets and really enjoyed this area. Would recommend either of the Morning Glory restaurants - we tried both and had amazing meals. The hotel does not seem to want anyone there drinking any later than 10pm. One eve we returned from Hoi An planning to have a couple of drinks at the (deserted) bar on our return. We ordered a drink and were presented with the bill at the same time and told that the bar was shutting (at 10pm) and that it was room service from then on. They did try and promote the ‘cocktail bar’ one eve so we gave that a go. It’s a row of tables overlooking the taxi drop off point (see photo) which seemed strange to us bearing in mind what beautiful grounds they have.
