The best 5 star resort experience by any metrics, and we-ve been to quite a few around the region. Service , Location, Affordability, Staff attentiveness , Food, Facilities, you name it. Special mention to Tracy, front dest duty manager, who assisted with my daughter's sudden health issue in the middle of the night. Truly Memorable ( the service, not the health issue Lol). If visiting Hoi An is in your plans, please consider Renaissance Hoi An. I guarantee a fantastic time for you and your loved ones.

We stayed here for an early birthday trip and loved it. Located at the quiet end of a peninsula, the layout is easy to navigate and has beautiful ocean views all around. The service was super friendly, everything was clean and modern. We had an excellent spa treatment at Akoya and the daily breakfast spread shouldn’t be missed! Our upgraded room was huge and beautiful, I’m sad we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy all of it. Also the free shuttle to Hoi An is super helpful especially in the evenings when the town comes alive. Highly recommended!

Since Marriott has taken over the property it feels like it’s still in a transition period. It has lots of potential but there are still many issues that need to be dialled in and fixed. Sadly it’s not to the level I would expect for a Renaissance resort. I stayed in the three bed villa which is larger than I expected, well appointed and very comfortable. Especially the beds! Worth considering if you are renting two rooms. It’s the only property on the beach so it’s very quiet and nice sea views. Never saw anyone in the sea. The pool is huge and most people swim there. One of the main observations I had was the obvious lack of staff, especially in the restaurant. For breakfast every day there were only two waitresses and it was clear they were really struggling to cope. (Please hire more staff!) Another annoyance was a wedding outside the villa. While I appreciate the notification and accept there will occasionally be events what I don’t understand is two days after it was still left uncleared. All the chairs and tables were just left on the lawn and most unsightly. Not what you want outside your villa. Disappointing The tennis courts are a chargeable extra. Why charge for this when it’s clear no one uses them. They need a good resurfacing. Opposite mini mart is very convenient and the delightful owner can help you arrange various things from massage to scooters.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa- the villa was clean, well appointed and had wow factor!! The grounds were beautifully maintained and the buffet was first class! It’s a 15 minute shuttle or taxi ride into Hoi A which made it quiet and not over crowded. There is a mini mart opposite for cheap laundry washing, snacks and spa. We will hopefully be back!!

I had the chance to visit Vietnam again, this time I stayed in Renaissance Hoi An five nights, it is a very nice resort with a huge swimming pool very nice. Facilities are good and service was great and kind. I would like to mention Executive Chef Mr Rohoman ,the breakfast was really great and a variety of food. In Front desk I would like to mention Tracy,Dayen,Tram,Vy, Hoa,Nguyen and other staff they all made my trip easier. Also I would like to mention in the lobby bar Mr Thai que served me a great Negroni and other staff gave great care too.

This was VinPearl hotel and joined Marriott group about four months ago. Our experience was positive for five nights stay from March 12-17, 2024 for two rooms. Nice rooms upgrade for Ambassador status. My positive list were rooms, pool, beach and garden. Foods, especially breakfast, are the most wonderful, we had many lunch and dinners there, very good foods and variety choices. Especially thanks to Duyen, whom service us at most respect for many meals there. people at this hotel providing excellent service, assisting us to create many fond memories, I highly recommend when visiting Hoi An. Thank you Renaissance Hoi An.

The Renaissance Hoi An was the highlight of our Vietnam stay for various reasons: - They recognized my Marriott status and upgraded us to a beautiful ocean facing corner suite and recognized my upcoming birthday with a decorated room upon arrival as well as a cake (It is these touches that keep me loyal to Mariott); - The pool is the biggest I have ever seen; - The buffet breakfast was exceptional. For anyone who complains about the buffet, there is something wrong with you, not the buffet; - The staff is the kindest and genuinely wants to please you; and - Close enough to Hoi An but far enough away to avoid the noise. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The most spacious and relaxing resort in Hoi An. Marriott have taken ownership of this resort which used to be a Vinpearl resort. We stayed in the junior suite which is larger room than the pictures shows. The Renaissance is away from the busy part of Hoi An and is a 10 to 15 minute drive Hoi An ancient town. There are Vinfast taxis (electric vehicles) just outside the resort. It was about $8AUD per way. The buffet breakfast, day spa and large pool are notable features of the resort. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it for couples, large groups, girls trip away.

Stepping into paradise: My stay at the Renaissance Hoi An wasn't just good, it was a delightful surprise that elevated my entire Vietnam trip. It's like discovering a hidden oasis—tranquil, luxurious, and effortlessly comfortable. Top-notch service: The staff here shines. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to ensure my stay was stress-free, they went above and beyond. Breakfast bliss: Forget standard hotel buffets. Imagine a table laden with fresh, delicious Vietnamese treats, enough to tantalize your taste buds and fuel your adventures. Remote serenity, vibrant access: The resort exudes tranquility, a perfect escape from the bustling city. Yet, a quick hop on the free shuttle whisks you right into the heart of Hoi An's vibrant action, the best of both worlds. No hesitation: Would I return? In a heartbeat. The Renaissance Hoi An is a gem, and I can't wait to discover its magic again.

I stay more than 80 nights/year in hotels of the Marriott brand. This is by far the worst experience of a presumably 5* hotel within the Marriott group I ever had. Cons: - room smelled like frequent smoker, - damp wall with dryer in the room - I assume mold is an issue - beach is around the corner but not maintained by the hotel - breakfast buffet is rather 4* - Hotel staff can’t communicate well in English, even after several tries with several staff, never had this issue at other hotels - the bar is a joke - 5 to 6 cocktails and the barkeeper never heard of other cocktails, e.g., classics like Negroni; They ask you to google recipes for them ... they cannot even give you a Gin Tonic - Spa whirlpool smelled - still a lot of remnants of the old brand of the hotel everywhere (recently changed to renaissance which is part of Marriott group) - no sparkling wine for breakfast (unlike all other 5star hotels) - no appreciation for Marriott membership status Pros: - shuttle bus to Hoi An - large pool area - restaurant has some good food throughout the day/evening
