The Hotel Dionysia is located in the quiet area of the village in streets where the buildings are draped with bougainvillea and hibiscus flowers. All rooms have their own shower and toilet, balcony and are equipped with air conditioning telephones. The maids ensure that the rooms are scrupulously clean, and they make you feel welcome by adding some very special touches to your room Continental breakfast is served and the hotel has a poolside bar area - in the shade of olive trees - where the helpful staff can serve you with refreshments and a selection of hot or cold snack meals throughout the day. The family run hotel has a very clean, well maintained, swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers and parasols surrounding the pool area. In the evening you can sit back and relax with a drink at the roof top Bar situated at the top of the hotel - to enjoy the wonderful views of Kalkan Harbour, the shooting stars and the moon rising over the mountains along the Turquoise Coast.

I picked this hotel in Kalkan as a surprise 70th birthday gift for my wife.It was fabulous. The cleanest and best presented I have seen.Ahmet and Kate are super hosts. They upgraded us to a 1 bed apartment as a gift for my wife. The staff are super friendly and I must mention my mate Suliman head barman. Great laughs.Nothing more to say that has'nt been said already.Looking at next September again with friends already.Kalkan is fab.

One of the oldest hotels in Kalkan. It’s a little gem, managed superbly by Kate and Ahmet and wonderful staff. Excellent location with short walk into village down an alley with beautiful bougainvillea, Jasmine and hibiscus. Lovely beer garden to have breakfast, lunch and drinks with magnificent rooftop restaurant with panoramic views and lovely food. Swimming pool a delight. Shaded area under the olive trees for a relaxed drink/snack. Highly recommended.

What a lovely hotel, perfect position to stroll into town.Run by Ahmet and Kate who are warm and engaging. Impressed by the Covid measures they have taken which has upped their workload but are always happy, cheerful and nothing is too much trouble.Rooms are small in the hotel but are super clean with great a/c. You can hire an apartment or a lovely villa. Pool area is great, relaxing and chilled with a nice pool bar for lunchtime refreshments (Efes). Rooftop terrace has great views of Kalkan so definitely worth a visit or two. The staff, Urhan, Suleyman and others are friendly, helpful and good fun. Already booked for May 2021 and cannot wait to get back to the Dionysia.🇹🇷❤️🧿

Very pleasant hotel, the room are small but for the price you pay they are fine. The bathroom shower is small and water goes outside shower curtain. The roof top terrace has great views so worth a visit. The pool area is small but fine issue is the regulars put there towl down early so never a bed free. Breakfast was fine service slow but not used to doing table serice but all staff are lovely, would go back as location is great as so close to the town, beach and port. Again good value for money

Having been staying here for last three years now and cannot fault this hotel. Perfectly placed on the edge of the old town so very close when heading down. Whilst rooms are small they are immaculatlely clean and have great aircon. Good pool and lovely rooftop bar and restuarant. Run by Ahmet and Kate who are lovely friendly hosts and supported by great staff who are all very kind. Cannot fault this place and love the stays here

Found this gem on Google and not disappointed. We have been coming to Kalkan for several years and normally stay in a villa and so wasn't sure what to expect. Although classified as 2 star it's location, staff, prices and food are superb. Ok, the rooms are basic but have good air conditioning and are spotless if small. But as I didn't bring the cat I wasn't able to test that cliche. The roof top restaurant has the best views in Kalkan and the food was great. I would come come back here in a heartbeat.

My wife and I have just returned from a 2 week stay in an apartment behind the hotel. The location is perfect and the apartment is spacious and kept immaculately clean. The pool is fantastic and larger than the photos suggest. However, we only used the pool twice during our stay due to the utter rudeness of the pool staff. Bearing in mind the pool can only be used by those staying at the hotel you would have thought that a modicum of effort would have been made by the staff. Alas no. During our first week we ate poolside. The food was fine but the service was the rudest I have ever experienced in Turkey......in fact the rudest I have experienced anywhere whilst on holiday. We are fortunate enough to be quite a well travelled couple having been to a number of places worldwide. We do, however gravitate back to Turkey as a short haul destination due to our love of the country and the people. Therefore it came as rather a shock to us when we were treated so poorly at the Diana pool. No please, no thank you. “What d’yer want” we were impolitely asked. I had to ask for the bill three times. It was shocking. If I hadn’t have been on holiday I would have caused a scene but my wife sensed this and I didn’t want to put a blemish on our holiday. As a result, we avoided going again. We went and ate at the Korsan apartments two doors down. The staff there were lovely. So welcoming and friendly and we weren’t even staying there! Hotel Dionysian lost out on a lot of business with us going elsewhere. It also stopped us eating at their rooftop restaurant too. Apart from that the apartments were fantastic and that’s why I’m awarding 4 stars. The owner is lovely too. As is Kalkan.

Response from DIONYSIA-ROOF, Manager at Hotel Dionysia
Responded 9 Sep 2019
can you describe the staff who treat me badly to you. Would you describe the staff who treated me badly to you. All our customers honestly write their ideas. If something undesirable happens, we will do what we need as the hotel management. Best regards

Stayed here on our 4th trip to Kalkan. Lovely hotel, (rooms are a little bit small but very clean and tidy). Very friendly and helpful staff, and absolutely superb location. Would definitely recommend it, and would definitely stay there again.

Needing a break at short notice we were lucky enough to be able to find a room available at the Dyonisia. We have stayed here twice before and it was just as good as we remembered it. A few updates, new windows and mosquito screens great addition! The pool and bar area are beautiful and the rooms and whole hotel kept faultlessly clean, hot showers at any time of day! Ahmet and Kate are as charming and helpful as ever, the staff work so hard, always there to help yet never overbearing, just a really friendly and relaxing place to stay, they have it just right! All in all a lovely week in Kalkan and of course the Dyonisia, we would love to return and would highly recommend to anyone considering Kalkan for a holiday. Jim and Sue
