We stayed in one of the apartments adjoining the hotel with its own infinity pool. All on one level with big wide rooms. The hotel is above the D road so the views are second to none, this does mean however that it is in the non commercial zone and there are no shops on this side of the road. Not a problem if you are not self catering of course. Taxis are cheap and easy to get hold of as the team at the bar will order them for you. This is not a hotel for those with mobility issues, there are stairs everywhere as it is right on the hillside, good for keeping fit though! There are two large pools and lots of areas to sit and relax. The atmosphere is very relaxed, this is not a room service, concierge sort of a place but it is a family run hotel and they are always happy to help. The breakfast is sufficient and light and the lunches and dinners are superb, they have a very good chef, we were never disappointed. Cocktails at the bar are very good, you can struggle with this in Kalkan but they were all very good and using the best brands. As we were self catering we found that the kitchen lacked equipment, we asked for a few items and these were delivered to the room by the cleaning team the next morning which was great. The cleaning teams are lovely, always happy to help. If you do need to get some shopping from the supermarket its a 20 min walk down and across the bridge to the nearest Migros. It has a buzzer on the wall for taxis so it is easy to get back. There were a few families with young children there during our stay but I wouldn't recommend it for young children.

The accommodation and staff are second to none. The hotels restaurant has the finest views in Kalkan as well as the best chief in the area. Well worth a visit. This was our second trip this year, we visited back in June for two weeks and this trip has been as good if not better.

Back again after two year wait due to the pandemic and it didn’t disappoint. Although nearly doubled in size the hotel and in particular the pool never feels busy. All the staff are friendly, the Friday bbq is delicious and the views are stunning. I’ve recommended this hotel to numerous friends and have already booked again for next year.

I stayed at the Mediteran Hotel with my husband in August and I can honestly say it’s one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The breathtaking views, gorgeous bar, restaurant and pools and beautiful apartments with balconies overlooking the sea. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to make our holiday special. We have been to Turkey many times although this was our first time to Kalkan and we can’t wait to go back. The hotel is in a great location and about a 20 minute walk to Kalkan centre but as the hotel is on an incline we found it better to use the excellent taxi service which is cheap and only takes a couple of minutes. I really cannot recommend this hotel enough so thank you so much to all the staff for making our stay perfect.

Fab hotel. Very clean. Bedroom great. Bed comfy. Staff very attentive. Sadly let down by several British residents who at 5am start dragging sun loungers around and bed block (towels well placed). I thought this was a German thing. Apparently not. Hotel needs to address this, please !

Hi Jamie Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. We are pleased you found the hotel to your liking but we do apologize for the guests who were disturbing you so early in the morning. It is quite common for guests to put their towels out on their way to breakfast but you are right that 5am is far too early. We are keeping an eye on the sunbed situation to make sure no one is blocking sunbeds without actually using them. Thanks again!

We had another lovely trip to Kalkan this year, made extra special by our stay at the Mediteran Hotel. We have enjoyed using the same hotel for a number of years and this year had the benefit of spending some time in the new hotel/villas which were added in 2021. Cota is a 2 bedroom villa with a small but perfectly usable pool, fantastic views over Kalkan bay and well equipped. Karamel is a much larger 3 double bedroom villa with 3 bathrooms and a large open plan lounge/kitchen. The pool is a little larger than Cota, perhaps 7M x 4M and there is plenty of private space to enjoy your holiday. These villas are a great combination on hotel and villa, you have your own privacy when you want it but if you fancy a lunchtime pizza from the bar, it’s just a few meters away. The hotel was been expanded in the winter of 2021 and now has more rooms, a second pool and larger common areas. We thought this may take something away from the small hotel appeal, but the changes have been a benefit all round and we thought the hotel has improved as a result. As always, we love that panoramic views which are at every turn and the staff are fantastic. Highly recommended!

A beautiful designed and thought out boutique hotel high on a hill 20 minutes walk into town. We particularly liked the magnificent views from the Zen like pool and superb patio provided . We eat lunch at the hotel several times and once during the evening, The food is fantastic as is the service. All the hotel staff are lovely they get the service just right. We really could not fault the hotel, brilliant rooms, stunning gardens, friendly helpful staff. All this fusion helped make our our stay an excellent one. Many thanks to all first class

We've just returned from the most perfect hotel in Kalkan. It was our first visit to Kalkan and I'm sure we picked the best hotel! Not only for the views, which are just amazing, but the most friendliest of hotels too. The staff are so attentive, it's like one big happy family! Loved it! We just wish we had booked more nights! We loved the garden room, lovely big bed, clean and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evenings too. Food was delicious. A typical Turkish breakfast, which we both enjoy. Lunch and evening meals available too at the restaurant Taraco. Every meal we tried we couldn't fault...delicious. Yes it sounds like an unreal hotel! But it simply is!! We cannot wait to return next year. Thank you Hotel Mediteran for making our 10 night stay enjoyable...
