We loved our stay at Rawai Palms Beach Resort. The hotel is well away from all the craziness of Patong and that's exactly what we were looking for. The area is not very walkable and taxis/grab are incredibly expensive compared to Bangkok and Chiang Mai. There are still plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, but be prepared to put on your walking shoes. We recommend Wan's for coffee and Gigs, Paradise Beach Bar and Baan Rimlay for dinner. There is a free shuttle service available every day to Yanui Beach and Na Hairn Beach. We took advantage of this most days. Our room was spotless, spacious and peaceful. Staff were always friendly, smiling and quick to sort out any issues. We were given two bottles of water a day and the mini-bar prices were very reasonable. The centrally located pool is enormous and absolutely fantastic! The pool bar cocktails were below average, maybe stick to the beer. We came back mid-afternoon everyday for a refreshing swim and a cool down. The complementary breakfast was very good and the staff were amazing. Wi-fi speed is excellent. The Thai massage service is highly recommended. We will certainly come back to Rawai Palm Beach Resort on our next visit to Phuket.

My family stayed in this hotel december 2019. We had the most pleasant experience. The territory is very clean and the staff is very friendly. There are free shuttle buses to and from nearby beaches. Beaches are very clean, not crowded, good spot for snorkeling. There are lots of boats that can take you to the islands 5 minutes away from the hotel. Rooms are equipped with everything needed. Breakfasts were good, there was always native Thai food presented as well as cereal, bakery, fruit and vegetables, omlette and eggs.
The Rawai area seemed to be very safe and has a lot of nice restaurants.

We stayed here for 15 nights Feb 23. I would not recommend. We had a swim up deluxe room. The room was lovely. The towels were washed out stiff and old. The pool towels were nice. The room was not cleaned properly. By the end of the hol we could not walk in bare feet as our feet would be black and filthy. The shower/bath/sink never got cleaned. The second week I put the green label on the bed to be changed and it was just made and not changed as there was a mark on the bed so I knew it had not been changed. The patio was filthy. The sunbed situation on some days was awful you couldnt get a bed. Other days we had to sit far from the pool bar and it felt like you was in a concrete jungle. The sun disappears from the pool area around 4/4.30! Most of the staff were lovely apart from one gentleman on reception he was very rude and unhelpful. The ladies in the red t-shirts were lovely and a lady on reception with short bob hair was really nice. The walls of the hotel rooms are very thin and we had trouble the first week with people playing music loudly the early hours of the morning. There is no bar or anything after the pool closes. The food and drink at the pool bar was nice and reasonably priced. One night a week they have a buffet in the restaurant which was 399 b - it was ok but didnt bother the second week if honest - there was not enough variation of dishes. The manager (Boy) was very nice to start of with until we realised he was just touting for business for his family business of tours etc. Once he knew we didnt want to go on any of these he lost interest in you. We picked this hotel because of the area as we have stayed in this area a few times but I would not under any circumstances chose to go back to this hotel. it is too run down, rooms not cleaned well enough, the hotel is too big, the sunbed situation was awful on a lot of days, as the hotel is tall there is no sun late afternoon. The breakfast buffet was ok but by the end of the holiday I didnt really bother with that either only because after 15 days you get bored eating the same thing every day but it what was there was nice enough, basically a choice of eggs, and dried up bacon, selection of the same fruit, toast, small pastries and thai food. Much the same as most places for a buffet breakfast that we have been too if honest. Coffee was awful but you could pay for a better coffee if you wanted. All in all it is a no from us.

We had breakfast included which was OK. we also had pool access rooms which definitely made everything better lol but the rooms are just as seen in pictures! Our sheets were changed everyday and overall it was just such a good experience, we also booked on booking and saved a ton of money.

This is a Five Star Hotel. You can see that as you look around every thing neat and tidy. We first stayed in Superior Room on ground floor across from the pool. excellent location. Room is excellent with large bed and bath tub with separate shower stall. Tv has all the channel, netflix.

Second Room stayed in Pool Access Room , same layout as first room but better. Private pool access no other guess allows beyond. Large comfily sofa. Tv with all the Channels.

The hotel pool is excellent with turns and bends and greenery ever where not feeling like swimming pool . They is pool bar for drinks. Pool never get so deep you need to worry. They is a separate pool area for kids with sand to play on.

The hotel has a gym room, bit small but it does . The Restaurant has a large choice to choose from Thai to Western food. The Location of the hotel is 3 minute walk to Rawai Beach and other restaurants and bars, They is a 7-11 about 5 minute walk away. The Hotel offer free transfer to other beach at certain times.

Dear Trebor, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed both the Superior Room and the Pool Access Room. It's great to know that you felt relaxed while enjoying the pool, with the added convenience of a pool bar for refreshments. Our gym may be on the smaller side, but we're glad to hear that it still met your needs during your stay. . We do hope to welcome you again on your next visit to Phuket. Kind regards, Rawai Palm Beach Rsort.

Hotel is showing its age and housekeeping is lacking attention to detail. Some examples included grey stained towels, mold on pillows, flies swarming the buffet bar and broken electrical outlets. I was unable to cancel the remainder of my stay and hotel staff were not able to offer another available room in the same room type.

Eventually once I got Priceline involved, I was finally transferred to their sister hotel - Kata Palm Beach Hotel.

I would not recommend staying here and would suggest any another hotel on the island that values hygiene, customer service and guest experience instead.

I stayed here for a week in August 2022. I had a Deluxe Pool View Room on the top level and it was very nice. There is a lift so that was not a problem but you can use the stairs as well. The bed was a little hard (what Thailand bed isn't??) but the room itself was lovely. The separate shower with two shower heads was great and separate toilet as well. I didn't use the bath but it looked great! The view was over the resort and looking out to the hills in the distance and it was very quiet. The blockout curtains were amazing and it was a very restful room.
The pool/s are fantastic and it is lovely to be able to swim around and have a look whilst you do. The pool is at a constant height of 1.4mtrs which is quite nice. It means (most) people can just walk around pleasantly or swim if you want. There are a couple of areas to sit at bubbles which is nice also. The pool bar is good but I didn't really use it. It is always manned. The pool is not heated so in places it can be a little cool but that is nice also as you do cool down. There were heaps of loungers & umbrellas so that was not a problem either.
The breakfast is good with egg & bacon station and various breads to choose from. I didn't order any other food here so I can't comment on that.
It is in a great spot, right near the beach and the stretch of road that runs around it. There are a couple of exchange booths nearby (the one up the hill was better) and a 7-Eleven close as well. There are plenty of walking places and nice bars close as well.
The staff that I interacted with were very pleasant and they were very happy to help you out.
Overall it was a great place and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Rawai.

The pool is fantastic and very clean as is the location of the hotel with bars and restaurants a few meters away. The hotel is advertised as a four star whereas in reality it is a 2 star resort. Breakfast is simple but nothing special, and you will struggle to get a decent coffee as well as a clean cup! The rooms are worn and shoddy repairs let the place down however they spacious. Unfortunately the hotel rooms are not 100% clean with the towels and bed linen feeling very old and worn. If the hotel had been advertised to me as a 2 star budget resort I would have been a lot more forgiving i just expected more given its status as four stars! If you are looking for a budget base with a great pool book in! If you want luxury and somewhere to chill and enjoy your room, look elsewhere.

Bad experience. When arriving the woman at the reception wasn't very nice. 2 days later my Thai girlfriend came and they were very difficult letting her in. She was vaccinated, but somehow they wanted a PCR test. Eventually she was allowed, since I booked for 2 people and the requirement of a PCR test didn't exist. On day 3, I wanted to invite a friend over for a drink, but my friend wasn't allowed either. The other staff members were much kinder and flexible, but I was happy I only booked for 4 days. Also, the hotel feels very old, 75% of the fitness machines for training muscles were broken. The swimming pool is nice though.
