This resort is luxury from start to finish. Upon arrival we were given some warm tea (whilst checking in) which was very refreshing. In addition, we were also given vouchers for a free 15 minute hand massage each. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with over 90 huts. The staff (who are wonderful and can't do enough for you) take you to your room in a buggy and pick you up whenever you request. The swimming/infinity pool looks out onto the beach and has plenty of sun beds with table service from the bar. The beach is only a few steps away if you'd rather relax by the sea. The rooms are gorgeous with outside bamboo showers which have shutters that you can open and look out onto the sea whilst showering. The bed is huge and extremely comfy. Our room overlooked the sea/beach and so we wake up to a gorgeous view. The staff ensure mosquitos are kept to a minimum by performing pest control weekly. The only downside (if being really picky) is the price of the restaurant food and drinks, however this is only in comparison to the street food which is gorgeous, authentic and very cheap. I would love to stay here again and would certainly recommend it to anybody else.

In summary, the hotel layout and buildings, amenities and style were all amazing and the staff were wonderful in all ways. What lets it down is the surrounding area as there is a main road at the front of the hotel and you need a car to get to any restaurants nearby.

That said, let me go into a little more detail. We had a Deluxe Seaview Villa (I think it was around number 21) which is halfway up the property, but close enough to the sea front for a beautiful view and easy walks to the restaurants (although they offer a buggy service, we prefer to walk). Unfortunately the Baan Vijitt restaurant was closed except for our very last night, where we enjoyed an awesome Thai meal in a beautiful setting that we would have visited more if it had been open. The main restaurant was great, but we missed eating more traditional Thai food that you can get in local restaurants, although we had to search for a long time before finding one that cooked to Thai tastes rather than western. The food they did serve was excellent though and the staff (particularly Maria) were incredibly attentive and just the best at making a holiday really enjoyable.

The sea in front of the hotel is a shallow cove and at low tide it retreats a long way out leaving a slightly marshy sand to walk on. The sea itself was a bit murky when we were there, it was the off season though, so we were more than happy to spend our time at the pool near the main restaurant.

The grounds are immaculately kept and the villas are built using rescued wood and other recycled materials, yet in keeping with a fusion of Thai and Western styles. Our villa was at the edge of the property and so it was immensely peaceful, yet close enough to everything to get to a bar or restaurant fairly quickly. The villa is huge with a walk in area leading to the bedroom onto a balcony and to the right a cupboard/drssing area with minibar leading to the bathroom which has inside bath, basins and toilet as well as an outside shower area. The spa was a short walk to the reception area and although pricey it was well worth the several visits we made there.

All in all if you are the type to stay in your hotel or maybe make a couple of trips from there with a driver then this is a wonderful hotel to stay at. Thank you everyone at The Vijitt Resort for our lovely time there

We had the privilege of staying at this beautiful property for two nights in December, 2019, and could not have asked for a better experience. Dinner at the Resort restaurant was definitely a highlight for us, as the food was incredible and the chef was highly attentive. My wife is vegetarian, and he made sure to come out and check on us personally several times to ensure everything was to the highest standard. Honestly one of the best dining experiences we've had at a resort, especially in Phuket..

The rooms were very comfortable and the staff highly attentive. The main pool hosts an absolutely jaw-dropping view with islands stacking in the near distance. I highly recommend the Vijitt Resort to anybody looking to explore the islands from a base in Phuket.

Beautiful resort and great staff! We had a pool villa and didn't want to leave. 7-11 is a "10 min walk" but after doing it once I rented a motorbike from reception, well worth it for 7-11 and trips to Rawaii. Our first time to Friendship beach, it's a small beach and at low tide you can't swim but fun to watch the windsurfers from the main pool. We used the kidszone, which is great, and the babysitter service as well, both great services and really made the trip special.

In the past we have stayed in similar properties in Phuket. We were overall disappointed with the The Vijitt when compared to the competition. On the positive side, the food, staff and grounds including pool and beach area suited us well. The grounds are well tended, the staff such as Jam and Jenny in Savoury restaurant and Nom doing pool service are great. Our disappointment related to the accommodation, our villa was simply tired, grubby and well in need of upgrade. We may have been unlucky with our room allocation, but the villa we occupied certainly needs a refresh to take away the grubbiness, to really bring up to 5 star standard some money needs to be invested. Ultimately we relaxed into the resort and had a good time, but some much needed room improvements would enhance guest experience.

I am struggling to understand the last 2 negatives reviews in December 22, my wife and I stayed in December 22. We must have Stayed somewhere completely different. The resort is perfect for both couples, families and single travellers. The villas are well furnished, clean and offer all you would need for a relaxing break. The rooms were cleaned daily and you had the option of clean sheets if you needed them, I don't tend to change our sheets at home very day so didn't feel the need to request it at the resort ( I also try to do my best for the environment) The choice of buffet breakfast was excellent, you could choose from the hot chefs station and everything was fresh and well presented. I would like to point out out 1 member of staff who went above the normal - Maria ( not sure of her last name, from the Philippines ) is a superb asset to the Vijitt resort, always friendly, helpful and constantly smiling. We sadly only spent a week over the xmas period but it was worth every penny, good value for money and couldn't find a single negative to write - keep it up Vijitt 10 out of 10.

We initially booked to stay for 4 nights at the Vijitt, but due to the sandbox we had to extend our stay here for 7 nights. And we are delighted that we did!
Our villa room was so exotic, romantic and useful mosi canopy over the huge comfy bed, where we could lie in bed with the doors opening and listen to the abundant wildlife in the lush tropical grounds!
Hands down the nicest spa products (and we stayed in 4 top hotels) and just loved the outdoor shower!
Staff were fun and friendly, like most of the people we met in Thailand, they could not do enough to help.
Especially the pool staff, Noom & Useron who set up Boules, Badminton, paddle boarding anytime at our request. Also stunning infinity pool.
The breakfast was fresh and plentiful, lovely views over the bay and great service, especially from the lovely girls Jam & Li-li.
The sea does go out quite some distance at low tide, but it has its own beauty and great to watch the fisherman at dusk looking for shell fish.
I would say it’s a bit far out of town, a tuk tuk to the fish market (where you choose your fish and they will cook it) is a couple of pounds.
Last note: due to COVID , shops bars and attractions are very quiet. If you can be bothered with the paperwork there is never a better time to come and enjoy quiet beaches but also help rebuild Thailand’s economy.

Recently spent 4 nights and 5 days. Rooms are large and functional. Setting around hotel very attractive with tropical trees and plants. Staff friendly .
Very large infinity pool with beautiful view over the sea.
However:
Drinks and food bought from restaurant are pricey, with service charge added 10% plus 7% tax. We stayed at two other hotels in Phuket area and the prices were a lot cheaper.
The hotel is situated on a hill and there is a steep hill from pool etc.
There is limited alternative restaurants and bars outside hotel, so isolated.
There is plenty of interesting places to visit but require taxis (expensive) or the shuttle bus from hotel which has limited venue choice.
The air con is very noisy.
The hotel is a good choice for people who need to rest and relax .
I shall not return as I prefer to explore other areas at an affordable off site travel price.

It's a beautiful resort but unfortunately is showing severe signs of aging and badly required maintenance and upgrade. The 2 bedroom pool villa that my family and I had stayed in had nails jutting out of the pool, the staircase to get out of the pool was wobbly, the main bedroom fan was not working and some lights worked and others didn't. The TV is really old and channels were not clear. From a cleanliness perspective, the rooms were only swept on a daily basis and the beds made, the sheets were not changed daily, floors were not mopped and I had to request for the sheets to be changed and even then only 1 room's sheets were changed and the other was not. There were dusts in the rooms and seems like it has not been occupied in awhile. It was quite clear that they are severely short-staffed, same staff seen regularly and they were not very conversant in English so could not understand much but they were very pleasant though and tried to accommodate to their best but with a huge resort and minimal staff at hand, there was just so much they could do. I don't think we got the value for the price that we had paid for given the fact the room only basic, not good cleanliness and aging resort. Such a beautiful resort, highly recommend for them to work on maintaining the place and promoting it. Though the location was a bit far from the city, we enjoyed the quietness of Rawai, away from the bustling city.

Thank you very much for the feedback of your stay and recommendations. We are sorry to hear you find it is not a inconvenient stay. Certainly, we do have a big plan for renovation including English language training course. House keeping service is daily basis but bed sheet, pillow cases etc will not be changed everyday unless advised (which is a part of energy saving purpose). However, we are sorry for any miscommunication and we will improve. Rawai area is very relaxing. With our scheduled shuttle bus service, we hope you enjoy and explore other area too. Once again, thank you very much.

The property and the pool area is very nice. But this is already it. if you kite / wing foil, it is a good place to stay. next door is a school with rental equipment.
We very lucky to book a sea front villa, direct access to the lawn and short path to the pool. Most others require a buggy transport to the pool
Restaurant / Breakfast:
the breakfast is quite simple and low quality. The Thai dishes at breakfast are about the worst we had on our 3 week vacation. The lunch menu by the pool is only international Pizza, burger type of food and tastes like warm-up frozen food.
Staff:
Pool staff is grim and not the friendliest. Reception staff is helpful, but when asking for a COVID ready to fly test, they say all are booked, and it takes 72 hrs to get the result, when saying the airlines only accepts 48 hrs old tests. the guy at reception said "it is not my problem". at the end the said we should just go to the clinic and get a test. Luckily we drove past a ready to fly test center (easy to find on google maps) about 7km from the hotel, and they do the test with guaranteed response on same day.
Thank god we only stay here 3 days out of our 3 weeks trip.
PS: beware of tides. at low tide, the sea moves out about 1 km.

There are local bars, restaurants, and market in walking distance. It's convenient as a small community. Bar and restaurant are also on site managed by the hotel. To Phuket, it takes 15 -20 minutes maximum
