Booked for a short visit and extended and extended...then decided stay 3 months. That might just explain my 5/5 stars. I have never stayed such a long time in one place. But to review.. Came to Patong just to see the quiet life here during Covid19 times. Booked Expat as stayed here few years ago and liked the atmosphere. So, came in order to stay a short while and now on my third month here. Might extend even more. Just love it. The relaxed atmosphere is still here. Wonderful, supernice staff. I feel safe and sound here. The rooms basic and comfy. Everything works and if not, just ask and it will be taken care of. The pool garden nice, sunshine all day. And, the location. As pedestrian,I appreciate it always. If you are are bar crawler, Bangla is 2minutes walk. I am not, so 5minutes walk to the beach. Or to the fresh market/ Jungceylon/Central/ the immigration... Even in the center of all, the soi is quiet and I sleep like a baby here. In their popular bar here they have one absolutely excellent band performing every now and then and even though I do not attend the parties, I do enjoy the music on my poolside balcony (which is now my favourite type of room) Highly recommend for all, short or long-term.

arrived 6th march and should have been there until the 26th. Hotel was brilliant as usual. Been many times to this hotel having stayed in numerous other hotels and this is by far the best. Location - Excellent, Staff - Excellent, atmosphere - Excellent. Had to leave on the 19th so i could get the last flight back to my country before they shut the airport. Hope all at the Expat are safe and that you can all see it through these hard times until the pandemic is over and tourists are flocking back.

This is a reluctant 1 star as Ive stayed in this hotel many times and never had a problem before. Its a great set up and i love the pool. But i stayed there last month and had a massive problem with the lady at reception. Ive taken photos and videos and sent these to booking.com so they know what they’re endorsing. I paid 300 dollars for 5 nights so was looking forward to a good time as the bar is great and it has a good atmosphere. But i checked out 30 minutes late and the lady at reception took a personal issue with me and said that i damaged a door mat and i needed to pay 30 dollars. Before i had a chance to respond she insisted on calling the police and said that i was going to jail. Ive saved up for over 1 year to come on holiday to thailand and thought i was going to have the holiday of a lifetime. So i was very confused that she called the police when ive paid for 5 nights and been a repeat customer of the expat hotel. My only crime was to pay money to stay at the hotel 🤷🏼‍♂️ I was so upset i took a video of her and sent this to booking.com and im still waiting for their comment. The way she called the police on me so quickly made me lose faith in the human race in general when we should be sticking together and fighting this stupid virus. I really hope tripadvisor dont let the hotel remove this review (i know they can take 1 away every year) as i never want anyone to feel the way that reception lady made me feel. I saved up for so long for this holiday and i’ve never felt so bad as that reception lady made me feel. I have a photo of her but tripadvisor says the file is too big

Dear Jonny D, Thank you for your interesting review. Unfortunately, we have no record of any Jonny D having stayed here in January. However, we do have another guest who seems to have had a similar experience to yourself. Mr. Jonathan Davies stayed here from 15 January until 20 January 2020. At 12:30pm on checkout day, the room maids knocked on his door since it was half an hour after check out time and they were waiting to make up the room for the next guest. Initiallly, no-one answered the door. Approximately ten minutes later, a still very drunk Mr. Davies answered the door in a temper and told the maids to "f..k off" and went back to bed. At 1pm the receptionist went to the room to advise Mr. Davies that there was a guest waiting to check into his room and the maids needed access. Mr. Davies was still angry and foul-mouthed. He was threatened with a visit from the Tourist Police but they were never actually called. Mr. Davies finally came down to reception to check out at 1:30pm, still "effing and blindin". We sincerely hope that Mr. Davies is not as hurt and upset as you seem to be and realizes that all his problems were of his own making.

Stayed on Nov 2019 for few nights.Despite of some negative reviews on the internet that I've read before giving it a go was not true based on our experience here. This hotel provides basic and simple clean room and comfy bed with flat Tv and mini fridge and enough for us to hit the sack after a long tiring day from tours. One day we decided to stay at the hotel during day time and we felt relax cos the rooms are facing at the pool with open balcony w/ table and chairs to chill not like a congested hotel buildings and we like it that way surrounded by plants and trees and located at the center of busy streets. Me and my friends booked only the cheapest 2 Deluxe double room. We observed the first room near the stairs in the left corner was with soundproof (I am not sure about the other rooms). This hotel have bar and you don't expect to be quiet during wee hours. But my sleep was not disturbed LOL and the food served at the bar was generous and with reasonable price. This hotel have in house Massage shop too. Staff are friendly and smiling. Affordable rooms with a big size pool and bar and massage shop inside the hotel. What more you can ask for. Just don't compare with a 5 star hotel.

2nd time visit and everything was great as expected. This time we dinned at the hotel restaurant more frequently and it was delicious. Pool looked more tidy and we made more use of it this time. Looking forward to returning next year (",)
