We had a good stay at Wiang Inn Hotel, we got the Green Bus service from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai and the bus terminal was literally around the corner from the hotel so really convenient location, we walked there which took less than 5 minutes. Lots of bars/restaurants within walking distance from the hotel so really good location.
We had interconnecting rooms which was great, comfy double bed in one and two single beds in the other, nice bathroom (bits were dated) with a bath and shower, soap/shampoo etc provided, water replenished daily, tea/coffee and kettle, safe, fridge, towels supplied, rooms cleaned daily, TV with cable channels. Outside there is a big pool, it was pretty cold but the kids didn't mind and had it to themselves every time we used it, there were sun loungers but they were rusty and felt like they were going to collapse when you sat on them! definitely need new ones.
The breakfast wasn't great, fine if you stick to toast and jam! The eggs were left out and no fresh ones available, cold sausages and ham, there was fruit but normally just sliced water melon, the staff stood and stared while you were getting breakfast and when sat down eating, little off putting!
We noticed that there was a karaoke bar in the hotel but when we asked about it they said covid shut it down and it will not be reopening again, real shame, there was a bar in the reception area that had a man playing piano, not the best, no one sat there either, its a nice hotel but like a lot of the area it seems since covid its had a big impact and a lot has shut down and never reopened, sad to see.
Overall the hotel was good, big hotel, great rooms, good pool, great location, if we return to Chiang Rai we would return here, great value.

This hotel must have been the jewel of Chiang Rai back in the day. Despite being dated, it is clean and the location can’t be beat, less than a five minute walk from the night market and 10 minutes from the Clock Tower. Rooms are spacious, the bathroom a little snug and the door extremely thin, providing no sound insulation. Breakfast is OK.

A good 7 years after my last visit, the tour bus stopped again at the Wiang Inn in Chiang Rai. The location is very good, close to the famous night market in Chiang Rai, which is held every day, even if it is no longer open as late at night as it used to be, and close to the shopping street in Chiang Rai.

Not much has changed. The rooms are just as well equipped: a comfortable double bed, seating area, desk with bed, large closet with safe, and bathroom with shower and toilet. Admittedly the bathroom is a bit cramped as you get older, but everything you need for an overnight stay is there.

The breakfast buffet consists of Asian and Western hot and cold dishes and drinks. It is very extensive. However, the dining room is still quite crowded in the morning when all the tour buses leave almost at the same time.

The hotel staff are nice and friendly.
It was a great stay.

The hotel was quite dated, but the location was good and it was close to everything. Staff were nice, especially at breakfast. Breakfast was quite limited and mainly Asian food, but they were happy to make eggs and omelettes for you if requested.

The biggest disappointment was the pool. We had partially picked the hotel because of the pool, as we'd just arrived from the UK and wanted to get some sun while we were there. The pool is in the most ridiculous location, such that there is no point in the day when it gets any sun at all. It's hard to imagine anyone designing a hotel with a completely shaded-at-all times pool, but that's what's happened here. It's therefore virtually useless, so if you're after a hotel with a pool, I'd suggest trying somewhere else.

This hotel is very nice and our room was very modern. It is in a great location for walking around and literally 200 metres from the bus station. Good breakfast, nice pool albeit it doesn't get any sunshine. Staff very friendly. Cocktail hour was fab ! Fairly quiet area but some traffic noise.

Chiang Rai was the second leg of our Thailand travel and we arrived at the hotel early evening and hit the streets for dinner. There were plenty of places to eat close by and there was a small night market a block away from the hotel. Loads of places along the street to get massage, which we took advantage of. The rooms were good size, but dark and had a bit of a musty smell. The bed was very hard and not very comfortable I literally thought there were two box springs stacked instead of a box spring and mattress. Not our best night sleeping.
The breakfast buffet was average. Best thing about this hotel was the location, but not as comfortable as other hotels we stayed at on this trip. The area was good, so if I could, i would try and find a different hotel in the same general area. after a long day of travel, a comfortable bed is the most important thing to me and these beds just weren't that great.

Located bang in the middle of town, back from a busy road. Close to provincial bus station. Also, there's a Cat Cafe nearby. Standards are high and staff friendly. Checkin could have been smoother. My room was large and the TV channels in many languages including BBC, the most of any hotel I've stayed in .

Following our path along the cultural routes of the community of Madrid we arrived at this hotel in Chiang Rai where we had a good welcome.
The spacious, comfortable and large room with bathroom, mini fridge, complimentary water, coffee and tea, all very clean.
Very friendly staff, varied and complete dinner and breakfast buffet.
Recommended hotel.
Near the hotel is the night market to do some shopping and the clock tower.

The hotel is very outdated, the facilities are from the last century and the breakfast is shabby, scarce and without variety. No cold cuts, no pastries, no cold oatmeal or soy drinks... in short, horrible. Avoid it if you can.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel. It is walking distance to night market. Friendly staff, nice lobby to relax have a drink, they have a piano player nightly. Also you can go to visit the White temple and if you have a car can drive to Golden Triangle with shopping, boat ride to Laos and Mymanar. I recommend this hotel.

Yes very close to the bus station. Easily in walking distance and just gives you a bit of an idea of the local layout. Tuk Tucks readily available. Good luck.

No tengo el gusto exacto, sin embargo, nosotros estuvimos desayunando a las 6.30 para salir temprano a las excursiones. A esa hora ya estaba todo servido, así que intuyo que inician más temprano.
