We stayed at Venus Premier Hotel in January for the start of our safari. We were pleasantly impressed by the welcome we received, our room was clean & all amenities in the bathroom.
The dining room was on the first floor with floor to ceiling picture windows that gave a light & airy feeling & a good view of the street below. Our evening meal was pleasant with a choice of buffet or from the menu. The buffet was a good choice as it gave us the opportunity to try different dishes. The emphasis is on Chinese & Indian but there’s plenty of european dishes as well.
Breakfast was a buffet again but you can also get a cooked breakfast & tea or coffee.
The staff were very pleasant especially the girls in the front bar & on reception.
I would recommend The Venus Premier especially if you are going on safari as you can leave your big cases at the hotel for when you return.

I stayed at his hotel with a friend in a busy December period. Luckily, we got the last room in the hotel. It was a great experience. Good wi-fi, clean sheets, and bathrooms and the staff members were very courteous. If in need of a taxi, which is how we got around, the receptionist will call one for you. Just be sure to bargain with the cab driver as they most always exaggerate the fare.

The only peeve in my stay was the food in the dining area. The mutton had loads of unnecessary red food colour; something to be avoided if you are health conscious. We had dinner there only once in our 4-day stay; on the first night. We did not eat dinner there again. It was not the best and frankly, there are other cheaper options around the corner like Kenny's and Washington bar if you want to sample the local cuisine. Breakfast was okay but not great. It was comforting, though, to see the Chefs and managers eat it as well!

Still, I would stay here again because of the cleanliness and courtesy of the staff members.

We were 4 families who visited Arusha for 4 nights on our way to Ngorongoro and we stayed at Venus.
Venus is a lovely hotel in Arusha town, in times of Covid the hotel was well sanitized and they had taken precautions to the highest level. The food was very nice too and they catered to all our requests. The staff were very welcoming and always at our service. The hotel is very reasonably priced compared to its peers. We recommend this property highly.

It’s a budget hotel within the center of the city. Very close by to the temples and Gurudwara and other Indian shops and community. Location is safe to travel alone outside the hotel area.
Restaurant is spacious with good Indian food variety. I guess it’s because of the chef being Indian too. The reception at the hotel was very good in supporting.
Only concerns is room was small and very basic. But cannot complain since it was very economical too.
The bedsheet was badly torn on the single bed but was changed immediately upon being raised with house keeping.

We are not fussy travellers by any means, however I would not recommend or stay at this hotel again.

The rooms are so old, no fridge the showers were terrible, the taps leaked, the cold tap didn’t work, the room we were given had no bedside tables. Rooms were humid, smelt musty. Black hair in my bed. Bedding creased and old. Fitted sheet didn’t fit the beds. Towels so rough and old need replacing. We had no spare toilet rolls in the bathroom.
No attention to detail at all.

It was old hostel standard at an expensive cost. It’s a $50 a night standard at a push.

Breakfast were also very poor. Weak watery coffee, no option for barista made coffee or decent African coffee. The food was mainly only hot Indian food & only bread and omelette as an alternative option. Confusing given we are in Africa we expected more African options and catering for other nations with hot breakfast options.
Dinner options was 95% Indian food again. Given you are stuck at night in your hotels due to safety a better variety of dinner food would be welcomed as we didn’t want to eat Indian two nights while travelling East Africa.

Hotel guests were loud shouting and moving around on upper floors keeping us awake. After complaining more than once the staff did their best to assist but it was not a pleasant stay at all. We were then woken up at 6am by people ringing our room doorbell.

The location is right amongst the local part of town so you cannot leave at night. You will be pounded on leaving your Safari jeeps or when being picked up (it’s fine but a heads up). I’d recommend staying by the clock tower as walking distance to massi market, and a great coffee shop for African food and good coffee (Coffee Culture).

We stayed in Venus Premiere for just one night to fly out to Zanzibar next day. The hotel rooms are nice but doesnt have any good view. Even the mountain view room has partial view of mountain and then right across the street you can see house with their clothes line and clothes hung out to dry out. The street outside the hotel looked a bit busy and not safe to venture hence we didnt step out of the hotel. Overall the hotel was very empty for a weekend stay. The food was average. The are a little short staffed but the staff is very polite and hard working.

I stayed here for 2 nights after my safari. This place is centrally located. The staff were friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. There is a small gym. The onsite restaurant had good Indian food but it took a while from ordering until the food was served (Their menu is way too large). Overall, I enjoyed my stay here after camping for the previous 10 days.

OK but........... there is a lack of attention to detail. Not what you would expect in a tourist centre like Arusha. Rooms were fine... staff friendly but need some training. Issues mainly in F&B. Breakfast was 2nd rate to say the least. Simply getting toast made was a challenge. Dinner a muddle with menu items and drinks being unavailable. A management issue I think. Not the staff themselves.

I was in Arusha to chill and get the Carina Fatigue out.. I was also celebrating my birthday. Rooms immaculately clean and comfortable. Staff very courteous and attentive. GM assisted to organize a day game drive. The guide / driver was fantastic very well informed and patient. I could manage to see lions . Elephants and more. On my return the chef fixed a lovely dinner. On my birthday the GM and Chef presented a cake and a lovely meal. I would recommend this hotel if your looking for value for money citi center hotel.

Very well located in town center. The rooms are well equipped, e.g. there is coffee. Breakfast is sufficient. Frontdesk is very helpful. But the place is quiet noisy due to the way it was constructed.

The price depends on your negotiating skills. It might be anywhere from 30 to 50$. We had our pick up arranged by the local tourist bureau that organized our trekking.
