I had the pleasure of staying at the White House in January and was so pleasantly surprised that a 'hostel' had such high standards! I had my own room with a huge bed, lovely bathroom with hot water and WiFi throughout the property. Richard was an entertaining bartender and the property is well laid out to meet and mingle with other guests as much as you want. The house is situated in a lovely area with shops nearby. I was sad to leave and will definitely return!

We could not have chosen a better hostel in Arusha! We are absolutely satisfied. The White House is a bit out of the way from the city, but it doesn't take long to get to the centre. The rooms are clean and the beds super comfortable. Generally a beautiful ambience and great owners. We would definitely recommend the hostel! kind regards too all! Fiona, Benj & Cora

Really cool place, junior is a great person and the place is really chill and has like hippie vibes, the food is pretty good and I love the drinks and the staff! I would definitely come back to this hostal.

It’s a cozy place, there’s plenty of space and the people are very friendly. They gave us water bóteles and the breakfast its really really good. There’s a place with drinks and it’s very comfortable outside.

Hey Guys, I just wanted to jump on for those looking for suitable accommodation in Arusha, which is budget friendly, homely and where you can meet other travellers. I recently stayed at The White House of Tanzania, which was about 10 minutes from the city, and it was so nice! They have a big outdoor area, with swinging beds, a pool table and bar with swing seats. When I was there, they were also putting in a restaurant/cafe on site. I also arranged Safari through them, which was much easier than finding one online, as its quite confusing with all the different types and standards. The staff were great, and a few of the nights we had drinks with those staying, played games and went to some of the nearby clubs in Arusha. As a solo traveller in Tanzania, I was a little concerned about finding good accommodation which was safe, and where I could meet others, particularly being lower seasons. The White House was by far the most popular hostel in Arusha, so if you're going through, defiantly check it out! Thanks so much!…

The white house of Tanzania has been like a second home during my stay in Arusha. Visiting family here and it's been a very comfortable, pleasant stay. I stayed in a private room, with a brand new mattress that was soft and comfortable. The bathrooms are nice, and well equiped. There is a really great bar onsite, plenty of comfortable places to sit outside, and I certainly took up residence relaxing on the swing outdoor beds. Overall, my stay has been perfect for a hostel style accomodation and the staff went above and beyond. I also did safari through there parter company, and it was an amazing trip.

Amazing days in White House of Tanzania!!! Ive stayed for 20 days at White House, and I felt it as my house and, all the ones that worked there, as my family. Masai with his big smile always saying mambo! As well as Nane and Emy in the kitchen, cooking the best chapati in town! And Richard as the dj and bar tender always with the best vibes, giving me the cold everyday beer safari. Miss already being there, with such good energy the Hostel has. Im sure I will return!!! But Junior, this is for you! Next time, wait for me with the pool hahaha! Thank you everyone for everything. I made friends, laughed, enjoyed, and have the best memories in White House. No more words than THANK YOU!!!!!
