I stayed at the Arusha Coffee Lodge for one night. This trip was rather last minute, and I appreciated the quick communication from the hotel. I flew into Kilimanjaro Airport and took the 10k shuttle to Arusha town. Then I took a taxi for 30k to the lodge. This made transportation a LOT cheaper. the hotel entrance is gorgeous. I had dinner when I came in. I had prepaid the meal but was confused about my options. I ended up having a fancier 5-course meal, which was nice but for my particular tastes, I should have gone with the menu from the other restaurant. Service at both meals was great. Check-in was smooth and I received a delicious iced coffee on arrival (I don't even normally drink coffee). It was a little dark going back and forth to my room and I didn't really feel comfortable with that. I found a personal welcome note, which was very special. The rooms were beautiful and I loved the bathroom. I didn't get a chance to use the huge tub but I appreciated it. The bed was huge and lighted. There were large, fluffy towels. The only issue I had was there was a dead bug in the mosquito net. I slept very well and had a very nice breakfast in the morning. I liked the fresh juice and fruit and eggs cooked to order. Watch out for the monkeys always watching to grab food from the table. Afterward, I walked across the parking lot to Shanga and bought some nice glass products. I would definitely return to this hotel and highly recommend it.

An impressive Lodge nestled in the coffee fields of Arusha. Not only offering lovely cabins with luxurious bedding and bathrooms, but also a nice pool to dip in after a long day of safari - or work in my case. A big plus is their community work: Shanga workshop employing disabled and deaf people from around Arusha area is located on the grounds. And a zuri café called "kahawa" (Swahili for coffee;). You then totally realize you are in Africa when the breakfast has to be watched over by game keeper - because of the monkey families living on the premises. Definitively a stay to come back to! Small setback: Prices are obviously for foreigners - the 60min massage was 120,00USD which is expensive even in Europe.

This was the starting point of our 8 Day Tanzania Safari trip. We spent our first night here- met by a warm welcome group and assigned our personal staff member 'Praygod'- we were well taken care of the entire time, and we made a good friend! What a beautiful coffee lodge with excellent food, service and incredible rooms/bungalows. The bungalows were luxurious and spacious. We also enjoyed the entertaining monkeys :) traversing throughout the property. The staff and service was top notch! Thank you to all, especially Praygod!

Just the perfect place to rest and acclimate to Tanzania before embarking on a safari. The rooms are large and elegant with luxurious baths. The grounds are gorgeous and the Traders Walk is full of interesting shops, including the inspiring Shanga center. Praygod, our butler, was ever present and helpful and made sure we always had what we needed.

I regretfully only stayed here for one night, my final night in Tanzania after my 2 week safari. What a way to end the trip! The lodge is gorgeous, the staff outstanding and the food, a work of art. The spacious room offers a large comfortable bed, sitting area, wet bar with refrigerator, coffee and tea service, a private deck where you can watch the dik-diks and vervet monkeys, and an elegant bathroom with tub and walk-in shower. The only negative about the room was lack of air conditioning, but there is a fan over the bed. There is a coffee shop and gift shop on the property, as well as a workshop that employs people with handicaps. I highly recommend a visit to the workshop, and spending some time with the wonderful people at the site. You will leave with much more than a trinket.

We stayed here first on our Sky Safari 8 day trip. We booked an extra night on the front end so we got to stay here two nights. Of the four Elewana properties we stayed at...and ALL were incredible...Arusha Coffee Lodge had the edge on food and service. I give all the properties we stayed 5 stars, but this place had the edge for 5+. Praygod was our butler, as well as everything else to us while we were there. The staff work literally non-stop, but are always happy and pleasant and at your service. We stayed in room 29, It was so spacious and comfortable. The porches were amazing. I got a massage while here and while it was awesome, my only displeasure was that the children's playground was right outside the massage room window, which was open since there's no air conditioning. This made things a little less relaxing and seems to have just been a design flaw when the property was organized. The only other downside we noted was there were only 7 chairs around the pool and they were always full. We were never able to enjoy the pool due to there not being enough chairs. I was particularly impressed with the workshop on site where people with various abilities are able to work, then their products are sold at very reasonable prices in the gift shop. I brought home a lot of handmade gifts and really wanted to support what the lodge was doing with this group. So wonderful. I can't say enough about how wonderful Praygod was and the whole lodge provided excellent service. I would love to stay here again.

Nice property overall, but quite close to a busy highway. No air conditioning in the cabins, so a bit warm and noisy for sleeping. The restaurant was fine, but unremarkable. Great handicrafts shops with demonstrations on the property.

A must place to visit totally magical and serene. It is a fantastic beginning to our safari adventure where we visited Mt. Kilimanjaro and onward adventure to lake manyara, ngorongoro and Serengeti. The most exquisite safari adventure to take in all the natural beauty of Tanzania and its bounty full wildlife. The food by Chef T was delicious ~ every single bite was mouthwatering and the presentation exquisite. The rooms were tastefully decorated and comfortable. I would like to personally appreciate the above and beyond service of Geoffrey, Rodgers at the front office, Thomas who helped us with our bags, Colletha who offered excellent service during breakfast, and last but not least Advent, such an angel who took personal care of us.
