This was a great way to end our trip to Tanzania. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were beautiful. We were given a free hour tour which included the garden where they grow their own fruits and vegetables, the coffee tree grove where we were shown the process of harvesting and making coffee (most of which is still done by hand), and a walk to Lake Duluti which is outside of the property. The meals were delicious. The chef even wrapped up some of his banana bread for us to take with us.

Started our safari to Tanzania and Kenya at Lake Duluti Lodge. Great place to stay with excellent staff that took very good care of us. Great food and friendly staff that make you feel at home. Even though there weren't many people staying when we were there they were fully staffed and grounds were impeccable. The lodges were excellent and they blend well with the natural environment which surrounds the lodge. We really enjoyed the monkeys and the birds. The send off by the staff will always be one of my best memories from Tanzania.

It has been said, amazing staff that make the difference in comparison with other beautiful loges. As other lodges, Lake Duluti Lodge has all the facilities to make your stay one in exceptional comfort. But back to the staff, they really make the difference. After some days there, the best way to describe the relation with all of them is like family. The atmosphere becomes loose and easy, although you are still treated as the very respected guest. It is difficult to describe, you should experience it. I would like to add that we unwillingly tested their flexibility and it was really amazing. Staff and Management solved problems we “created” with an ease and flair we have never experienced before. (And trust me, my wife and me have been around many nice places on our blue marble). For those of you who consider a trip to the roof of Africa and its beautiful national parks in its surroundings i would highly recommend to “use” Lake Duluti as your home base. They know and can show all the beauty this northern part of Tanzania has to offer and they do it with as staff that will create profound memories for you. So dear Staff and Management, it has been a privilege to stay at your Lodge. Thank you, Asante Sana. Anita & Marco

Good morning Marco and Anita. Thank you so much for the kind words but the pleasure was all ours. It is great having 'family' visit us, especially when they are as easy going and always smiling as the 2 of you. Clearly that is one trait that has wiped of on your daughter. We will miss the chats and early morning banter. Come back soon. Rob

Excellent location and amazing staff. Each of the chalets are nestled in a tropical forest setting. The rooms are extremely clean and have private verandas. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, the bathrooms are definitely designed for couples in mind. The entire team treats you like family. Very warm and welcoming like you are a friend at their home. I didn’t have high expectations for the food in Tanzania, but wow, the chef here, she is amazing and constantly changes the menu with many of the vegetables grown on property. Rob the GM is great at making sure the guests are having a perfect stay. Bonaventure our assigned host was super friendly and engaging, even teaching us some basic Swahili which was fun. Victor our guide at Lake Duluti Lodge shows a great knowledge of the plants and animals. The coffee plantation experience was entertaining and hands on, from picking the fruit to seeing how the final beans are produced. Thanks to the team for a great stay.

What an outstanding place to stay. We arrived at midnight and yet they kept the kitchen open to make sure we didn’t go to bed hungry. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and really well maintained. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, housekeeping does a great job which also included a nightly turn down service. The food! Scrumptious! Most of what you eat is grown right in their garden or comes from their farm animals. They grow and hand process their own coffee (you can take the free tour and learn all about it). Breakfast is made to order, lunch and dinner are 4 course meals! On our last night we requested and received an authentic Tanzanian dinner. Wow! It was our favorite meal, request it when you stay. The staff is beautiful, attentive and so friendly. “Andy” was our server/bartender our whole stay. He is the “Dawa” master! Rob the manager went out of his way to make sure of stay was perfect. We enjoyed chatting with him, as a world traveler he’s got some great stories to share. I can only hope that someday we’ll get a chance to come back to Duluti Lodge.
