We have been to Ngara Sero many times over the last 10 years, but this time everything had been improved, the food was excellent and while we did have some missteps with our room, the overall experience was excellent, The decor and unique private eating places are much better now. The grounds were always amazing, but now the rooms and food is reaching the same high standard. Coming back later this year.
If you are looking for a remote and peaceful location to relax and enjoy your vacation, this place in Tanzania is an excellent choice. It is perfect for those looking to spend some quality time with their family in beautiful surroundings. The location is really great. It is secluded and surrounded by nature, which means that you can really disconnect from the outside world and completely relax. There are many different types of animals that you can see here, such as elephants, lions and giraffes. It is truly a unique experience to see these animals in the wild and see them up close
We went there for a Sunday. Impressed by the house, decorated and style. The surroundings are extremely relaxing, green and peaceful. We wanted to do some horse riding but unfortunately unable to. We did a walk around and a small boat ride. Very peaceful. Pool area looks like you are in Bali 🤗 Lunch was good. Overall experience was nice. Very well maintained place, decorated with taste in a beautiful environment.
Five of us stayed here pre and post Kilimanjaro summit. The location was convenient to Kilimanjaro International Airport and Kilimanjaro National Park. We ate three meals a day. On the day we hiked in Arusha National Park they provided a delicious packed lunch. Every meal was delicious! Especially enjoyed the soups. The settings for the meals was spectacular! In the mornings you can see Kilimanjaro from porch and deck. A fire in the fireplace every night at diners. The food was fresh and delicious. Slept extremely well with the windows wide open listening to all the sounds of nature. Staff were amazing. Used their laundry service and stored our bags there during our climb. Two of us stayed in two beautiful suites off the rear parking lot. Wi-Fi was surprisingly fast. New Years Eve was special with fantastic live entertainment. Wines and cocktails were great. Three in our group stayed in the Garden Rooms where Wi-Fi was more challenging. This Mountain Lodge was magical! Thank you!…
My husband and myself love spending our time at this paradise. No words are enough to describe this place till you see it for yourself. It leaves you speechless! I also have the best sleep here wake up feeling so rejuvenated. I thereafter, look forward to the best eggs Benedict in the entire country, never tasted this good elsewhere. That first cup of coffee is one to die for total satisfaction perfect to start your day. Everything you are served is so fresh and organic. It is a real pleasure to be spending this time at Ngaresero. We love taking walks and canoeing it is so blissful. The lawns are pretty and give you a sense of beauty. Not to forget, I did my first horse riding here, it was an experience I will cherish forever. This is a perfect getaway before and after safaris and climbing Kilimanjaro. Best way to jet lag and even better to end the trip here so you feel refreshed returning home, where ever that might be in the world. We will highly recommend to our dear family and friends. This place is a must do and my husband and myself will love to return to every year. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. …
peaceful oasis perfect for before and after your kili or safari trek! food was delicious. they were attentive to dietary needs. they provide laundry services. wi-fi is better on the higher end of room numbers. the pool is beautiful. we didn't take advantage of the spa but it also looks very nice. the surrounding forest is sublime and you'll see some colobus monkeys. the water pressure is good and if the hot water is low they'll heat more up. the rooms are large. overall perfect spot but a bit away from downtown arusha. no concerns. we really enjoyed our stay. the staff were so kind and thoughtful. both of my shoes broke while we were there and sharifq took care of it!
We stayed at Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge pre and post our safari trip. The lodge is extremely peaceful and surrounded by natural beauty including a stunning lake. We took a short walk around the grounds where there are chairs and swings located so you can sit and take in the scenery and stillness. I believe you can also book to have breakfast on the lake which would be a wonderful experience. The food is delicious and all staff very friendly and welcoming, particularly Hassan who greeted us on both occasions when we arrived and was our waiter for dinner. The rooms are very spacious and we were lucky enough to stay in one of the family rooms on our first night which is HUGE! We only wish we could have extended our time there to relax a while longer. Asanti sana to all at Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge for a brilliant stay!…
This place is close to a paradise retreat. Kind of manor with colonial feeling, with some new features. Rooms are big and nice, but it is the surrounding garden and park who is the sensation here. Monkeys in the trees and squirrels in the garden, plus a magnificent lake with a lot of birds. Staff is doing their best, and I need to highligth the young waiters. Smiling and at your service. Andrew worth a mentioning as he approached in a pleasent way, and made the meals to a nice hour. On the negative side I will say that there is no internet available outside the reception. This is not good enough, and what makes this a 4 instead of a 5 hotel. As I was travelling as single traveller this was missed.
Stayed at Ngare sero mountain lodge. Quite interested. Built as home for a German ex-solder around 1905 (whilst German still held German East Africa). Lot of wood. We stayed in the cottages in the grounds. cute and historic. The food was fine. The service was lovely. On the 70 acre property were the White Colombus Monkeys my sister was so keen to see. She climbed mt Meru whilst I stayed on the property and I spent hours with the Monkey s and she barely saw them til she joined me back at the estate. As for Arusha it has over a million people apparently and a selection of roads. The ususal rip off mechants (so a good idea to go with a local to talk down the shop keepers). The airport is in renovation. Mt Kili airport nearby is small but has nice food oddly enough.
This lodge is simply amazing. In the middle of trees, with monkeys jumping around and an atmosphere like in the jungle. The staff is friendly and well organized. The food is delicious. Every customer receives a variety of dishes for dinner and you will definitely like everything. Meat / vegetables/ salad / rice / potatoes. It's family owned and you feel this. There is even a small round tour in their property, so you can go far a walk and explore their park.
