A sweet home in a peaceful garden! Joyce and her son helped us spend 2 relaxing but interesting days in Arusha: waterfalls walk, discovery of the different fruit varieties, cultural heritage museum, Masai Market… The food was really good, and we had a wonderful view from the dinner place! Thanks for everything

We stayed here before and after our safari and mountain trekking. The bungalows are neat and clean, hot water is available and the garden is nice to relax. Joyce is a great host. She cooks delicious meals and is happy to help with organising everything from airport transfer to safaris.

Very nice Roundhouses in a nice garden! Every morning and evening a freshly cooked meal. The landlady and the staff were very kind and helped organizing some nice daytrips (visit a Masai village, Tarangiri National park with safari and in general the transport).

We had a very nice stay in Arusha in this lodge. Joyce is a very nice and warm lady who made us feel at home and cooked delicious dishes for dinner. The huts are nicely decorated and clean. You can visit the waterfall or the city center where Joyce’s son drove us to several times. All in all we had a perfect break between Kilimanjaro and Safari and after.

Very nice place to be in Arusha. We felt like home. Joyce is always there if you need anything, she’s an excellent cook, many vegetables and fruits come from her garden. The view from the lodge is amazing, like we were in the middle of the jungle with bush babies and monkeys playing in the trees nearby. Ideal place for bird watching also, and walk to the waterfalls with her son Raymond who is always available for guidance, he took us on a hike to a coffee farm owned by Tengeru cultural program where we had a wonderful experience roasting our own coffee and bring it back with us

If you are looking for a quiet place to rest with a warm welcome from the owner, this is the place to be. Joyce was so nice with our family, always caring of our well being. The place is full of greeneries and fruit trees which are served in fresh fruits or vegetable salads. You can see monkeys and we also spotted a chameleon in a tree! Great few days spent in Arusha.

If you are traveling to Tanzania and want a truly memorable experience, I highly recommend a stay at Songota Falls Lodge. The owner, Joyce, is a dynamic business owner who really takes pride in her property. The service and hospitality that she and her son, Ray, provides is first-class and also vey affordable. The lush greenery and mountain views will appeal to nature lovers, and the food is healthy and absolutely delicious. I have stayed at Songota Falls twice and never have been disappointed. Joyce arranged shopping trips to town; organized a safari trip for our group; and took care of our smallest requests, always with professionalism and with a smile. The accomodations are clean, comfortable, and located near a tranquil waterfall. The staff are friendly and we always felt safe and welll cared for. You will not be disappointed booking your stay here!

Joyce and her son Ray are both lovely people. As others have mentioned, the food Joyce makes is delicious and fresh from her garden. I am vegan and she was very happy to make something delicious for me (banana stew, which was my favorite, and vegetable curry). The view is amazing out onto the jungle. Ray also took us on a walk to the next town to see a coffee plantation at a locally run organization. The hot water pressure here was also some of the best we had on our trip. I am hoping to return with students.

Joyce really took on the role of becoming our mom and made sure we were well fed with her incredible cooking and used organic ingredients grown in her garden! Thank you soooooo much to the Songota lodge team you really made us feel at home! We will definitely be back!
