The African Tulip is Arusha's premier boutique hote, safari themed and provides first-class western luxury with outstanding facilities, personalized service and warm hospitality in a convenient location. The 'Zanzibar lounge & bar' is an ideal meeting place; The Baobab restaurant serves an excellent range of cuisine; 'The Serengeti' Pool & Bar is a fantastic place to relax. Additional facilities include a business centre, conference room & gift shops. It truly is Chic. Unique. and Authentically African!!
This hotel is extremely well run. The staff is excellent and the rooms well appointed. The breakfast is fresh and varied and dinners are also good and extremely reasonable for the quality. It is attached to Roy Safari and accommodates safari needs like baggage storage. Highly recommended.

This hotel was perfect as a stopover after an 8 day safari and before 3 days on Zanzibar. The room was large and very comfortable. Good food and nice pool area. The GM was especially helpful with a late checkout request due to some flight schedule changes.

Where is Isak Dinesen when we need her to describe this wonderful unique hotel in Arusha Tanzania? It always takes me back to Casablanca with British officers in pith helmets and swagger sticks standing in the dark wood paneled bar. It's one of our favorite small (actually larger that it appears) boutique hotels in the world and we look forward to being there each year. The chefs are really outstanding and the menu offerings are predictably terrific. Staff is unsurpassed in efficiency and caring. Frankly, we so look forward to beginning and ending our yearly salaries at the African Tulip. Where are Humphry Bogart and Ernest Hemingway...arriving soon I'm guessing. See you at the Tulip.

The “BEST OF EVERYTHING” in Arusha! The accommodations, the food, amazing. The attentive staff, incredible! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Tulip. We are barely home and yet we are yearning to be back in our seats in the lounge. Exceptional is the best way to describe every aspect of our stay. We can’t wait to see you again!

This hotel was wonderful. The staff was very accommodating. The manager was there morning, noon, and night to make sure we were happy. We had a triple room that was huge and even had a nice balcony. The food was plentiful and delicious! I highly recommend it!

The African Tulip was the perfect stop between the end of a Safari and a trip to Zanzibar. Excellent food and staff. Special kudos to F&B manager Pathak and his team. Highly recommended. They were especially helpful and flexible regarding a change in our flights.

The hotel is very conveniently located, allowed us the oportunity to take a walk in the evening. We only stayed a night before our safari so did not get to enjoy too much but the beds were good and clean. The bathrooms were also clean with ample hot water. The restaurant was good and a reasonable selection. Overall a good stay and comfortable stay.
