Amazing experience with incredible accommodation, all services have been good. The staff who work at African Tulip Hotel are very good team that follow the needs of travellers very professional and friendly
We stayed our first three nights at the African Tulip. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The grounds are beautiful as well. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The breakfast is normally served buffet style but because of the low occupancy, we were served from menus for two of the three days. All of the food was great. The only downside of the hotel was the outside noise level. Two of the three nights there were parties going somewhere nearby and the music was very noticeable as we tried to sleep. While not the hotel's fault, this was the only negative we noted.
This was where we stayed our first night in Tanzania after a very long and stressful escape from covid-gulag Europe. Friendly, calm, helpful and restful. Perfect place to get ready to go and start bouncing around this lovely part of Tanzania.
We stayed the night at the end of safari before flying to Mafia Island at the African Tulip and this location/amenties were perfect for that. We would recommend the Rivertrees Country Inn on the Usa River when you arrive at JRO or if you are touring this area from an Arusha base. (see that review) Staff was excellent, courteous, and helpful. There was, however, no general tip box. So we didn't really know where to leave our general tip, didn't really want to leave it in the hands of one individual other than the manager, but that wasn't an option, so we left it with the restaurant staff that helped us the most, but later saw the manager and let her know. They really need a general tip box in the lobby please! Rooms were nice, though ours didn't look like the photos. We…
It’s a beautiful and quiet place to retreat after Cooke days of safari long ride. Room: Good size. Clean & cozy. Bathroom: also in good size. Clean. Hot shower water. Restaurant: food is not bad but service was a bit slow They charge 4% surcharge if you pay on card. I know it happens a lot in cash-trading dominated markets since the sellers don’t want to absorb the charge but I didn’t expect this higher level hotel would do such thing.
